[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119949] New: Filter broken by blank line
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119949 Bug ID: 119949 Summary: Filter broken by blank line Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ddascalescu+freedesk...@gmail.com Description: Certain blank lines in a sheet cause filtering in filtered columns to stop - any values in the column beyond that line will be displayed, even if they don't match the filter. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached .ods file and follow the instructions within; namely: 2. Click the autofiltered column header 3. Uncheck all but "VISA" Actual Results: Extraneous rows are present after filtering Expected Results: Only row 2 should be visible after filtering. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This breaks badly expense tracking in sheets that have total rows (a total row would have a blank value for the filtered "Payment" column from the example). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119473] Translation missing in LibreOffice 6.1> Calc, spanish version, Notebook Bar> 'Insertar' tab> 'Field'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119473 --- Comment #7 from Albert Acer --- It is correct, the bug 119920 can be a duplicate of bug 119473. However, I reported the error again because at this moment I am testing and using Libreoffice Calc 6.1.1 in Spanish and I find that the reported error has not been resolved. There is the translation error again. That is to say, it was not resolved in version 6.1.1. I understand that, possibly, this bug has not been resolved because I reported it in my native language (Spanish) or you do not find the route to get to the error using the new experimental User Interface with Tabs. To get to the error, please follow this route: 1. Open LibreOffice Calc 6.1.1, Spanish version. 2. Activate the New Interface with Tabs like this: Go to "View" Menu - User Interface - Tabbed. In Spanish it would be: "Ver"> "Interfaz de Usuario"> "En Pestañas". 3. Go to the "Insert" Tab. In Spanish it would be: "Insertar". 4. Look for "Field" icon. There is the error. This option appears in English. Therefore, spanish translation is missing. 5. "Campo" should appear instead of "Field". 6. To see the Menu Bar again: a. Go to the “View” Tab. In Spanish “Ver”. b. At the end, on the right border, look for the drop-down list “View”. In Spanish “Ver”. c. Search and select the Menu Bar option. In Spanish “Barra de Menús”. Thank you for your attention. I selected "Single page" instead, and now "Hide whitespace" is available in the menu. Selecting this menu entry did what I wanted. :) I also tried to use the mouse, and as soon as I remembered to double-click, that worked too. Should this be closed as RESOLVED? Or should it be reclassified as a usability problem because it is hard for users to know how to achieve what they want? Perhaps it should be possible to access "Hide whitespace" even in Automatic mode, and if hiding whitespace is incompatible with the functionality of automatic zoom, automatic zoom should be automatically deselected when the user activates "Hide whitespace". I also question if it should be enough to click once in the gap between pages. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119940] Bolding a Hebrew word in a sentence with David CTL font changes the intra-word spacing of surrounding words
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119940 --- Comment #6 from Maxim Iorsh --- The bold word במסמך is 3% narrower than the regular one. It looks like the change in width due to emboldening moves the successive glyphs by a fraction of a pixel, thus making some glyphs move a pixel and others just stay in place. This is probably a limitation of the renderer which would take some effort to resolve. Some higher-end TrueType fonts employ subpixel instructing technique to overcome this issue at small font sizes (i.e. where glyph height doesn't exceed 12-15 pixels). This technique requires a huge amount of work on the affected font, and you would probably buy a retina display long before I get to do it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73933 --- Comment #8 from Eyal Rozenberg --- Correct me if I'm wrong, but this issue seems to not be about tables only, but any case of "nested numbering", e.g. heading numbers and so on. And you're arguing that the default should be "First number on the left, last number on the right" rather than "First number comes first, last number comes last". Myself, I like the style you argue for when the numbering involves numerals and Latin characters, but _not_ when it involves RTL language characters. Example: In Hebrew, א is the first character in the alphabet, followed by ב and then ג. If I read "א.ג" (Aleph on right, then Gimel on left) - I would interpret it as the third item in the first section/chapter, regardless of whether I read it in an RTL paragraph or not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I suppose, if I can find the time, I try this a few times AFTER saving it under a different name in the hopes of having a good copy. The bugs I have reported so far are extremely intermittent. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44871] TABLES Distribute rows equally works unexpectedly different from "Distribute Columns Evenly"
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44871 --- Comment #10 from Justin L --- (In reply to Rainer Bielefeld Retired from comment #2) > 1. Why do "Distribute Columns Evenly" and "Distribute Rows Evenly" work > different? Because columns and rows act very differently in terms of response to data-entry. Columns do not auto-grow, but rows do. Columns do not need to fit all of the content, but rows do. So, only three row options make sense. 1.) minimize (reduce the table size), or 2.) equally space for symmetry (based on the largest row - increase the table size). 3.) Additionally, I could see the value in combining minimize, followed by an equally space (symmetry using the minimal space) with a no-shrink requirement. This allows the bottom row to be increased to the desired table size, and then that huge row is distributed among the other rows (the situation described in comment 0). [the user could also combine minimize, followed by equally space to achieve minimal symmetry in a shrunken table.] -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114734] Comment direction lost on saving-then-reloading a .docx
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114734 --- Comment #3 from Eyal Rozenberg --- In fact, the bug applies more generally than I had previously thought - it doesn't require importing a DOCX: 1. Create a new Writer document 2. Make sure the default style's direction is LTR 3. Type in some text (doesn't really matter, you could just comment on an empty paragraph, but to be nice.) 4. Insert a comment with a single paragraph of text - enough text to require multiple lines in the comment box 5. Set the comment box paragraph's direction to RTL, manually 6. Save as DOCX 7. Close the document 8. Open the file you just saved The comment will have LTR direction. If you do this via an ODT rather than a DOCX (in step 6) you won't get this bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
