[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120318] branch crashes in bibliography database -> Data -> autofilter

2018-10-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120318

Hi,

I tested libo-61-64~2018-10-04_04.40.26_LibreOfficeDev_6.1.3.0.0_Win_x64.msi
and there was no crash and on master libo crash.

libo-61-64~2018-10-04_04.40.26_LibreOfficeDev_6.1.3.0.0_Win_x64.msi -> no crash
libo-master64~2018-10-03_23.04.03_LibreOfficeDev_6.2.0.0.alpha0_Win_x64.msi ->
crash

As I saw in the patch
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=6cc88407acd148982ba05a9a52e390225449c031
.uno:Bib/autoFilter was included to the menubar which wasn't available before.
The command is from the toolbar.ui file, maybe this command doesn't work in the
menubar.

conclusio:
--
.uno:Bib/autoFilter command from toolbar.ui was added to menubar.xml but maybe
the command didn't work (out of the box) in the menubar.

suggestion:
---
remove .uno:Bib/autoFilter from the menubar.xml file cause it wasn't there
before the patch.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93941] Invisible table borders show up in pdf through non-white cell background

2018-10-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93941

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

I have an idea for the reason. Writer uses a layer "Controls" with uppercase C
but Draw/Impress use "controls" with lowercase c.

The problem is, that in Draw/Impress the feature "layer" is not only an
internal tool, but is relevant for UI and file format. And "controls" with
lowercase c has been written to file from the beginning.

Writer and Calc do not have any layers in ODF, but they use this tool only for
internal purpose. Calc does it cleverer, and does not use a string but
"constexpr SdrLayerID SC_LAYER_CONTROLS(3);" in global.hxx. I'll try to find a
solution inside Writer.

OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Reporter: damian.hofm...@gmx.ch

Created attachment 145400
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=145400=edit
Example of overlapping dashed lines appearing as a single solid line

In diagrams, when there are multiple connectors from multiple boxes, going into
a single target box, I like to "group" them together into a single "lane". This
reduces visual noise and communicates, that all these connections are similar.

If these connectors have the "dashed" line style, the "common" part that goes
into the target box, appears as a single solid line, because of the overlap of
multiple dashed lines.

In many diagrams there's a semantic distiction between solid an dashed lines.
Where multiple "dashed" lines overlap, that section should still be displayed
as a single dashed line.

When in presentation controlled using Impress Remote (at least on Windows),
using next/previous slide from the Remote does not treated by OS as user events
that reset screen saver; so after some time in the presentation, the screen may
power off. The proposal is to send some user events to system to reset the idle
timer at each Remote interaction.

STR:
1. Start a presentation using Impress Remote
2. Don't touch computer's keyboard or mouse; keep controlling the presentation
using Remote

Actual results:
Eventually, screens (both main and presentation) would turn off after
system-defined timeout

Expected Results:
If time since last Remote interaction is less than the screen saver timeout, it
shouldn't be activated, even if the presentation itself is running long enough.

Visual examples of "grouping" connectors with sharp vs rounded edges

Please add a new connector type that works the same way as the standard one,
but with rounded edges.

In diagrams, when there are multiple connectors from multiple boxes, going into
a single target box, I like to "group" them together into a single "lane". This
reduces visual noise and communicates, that all these connections are similar.

Using the connectors currently available in LO, I get close to the desired
result. There is a small problem though. Because these connectors meet at
straight angles, they do not guide the eye into the right direction. This can
be a problem in large diagrams, when there is a distance between the connected
boxes.

A connector type with rounded edges would solve that quite elegantly. The lanes
coming from multiple boxes would "flow" into the main lane going into the
target box.

See attachment for visual examples.

In LO, I can create the result only by piecing together the connectors from
curves, shapes and lines. Frankly, this isn't maintenable for large diagrams.

Visual examples of "grouping" connectors with sharp vs rounded edges

Please add a new connector type, that works like the standard one, but has
rounded edges.

In diagrams, I often want to merge connectors going from multiple boxes into a
single box.

That is, connectors, going out from multiple boxes, meet at some point and then
go - as a single line - into the target box.

This helps reduce visual noise. It communicates, that these connectors, all do
the same thing.

Using connectors currently available in Draw, I get close to the desired
result. There is a problem though. Because these connectors meet at straight
angles, they do not visually guide the eye into the right direction. This can
be an issue in large diagrams, where there might be a distance between the
connected boxes.

Connectors with rounded edges, would "flow" into the big connector lane and
give visual guidance.

See attachment for more visual examples.

I tested both Breeze Dark and Karasa Jaga, and they both now get picked up as

We don't have alternative month names in locale data nor supported in number

feature.

Other than that, it could be brutally hacked in for German locales.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97907] Sort extends database range

2018-10-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97907

As stated by Buovjaga, it doesn't confirm with the first description of the
bug. But with the description and document added in comment 2, I can confirm
the behavior.

- create a new one column data range (data>define range...)
- select the created data range
- sort
- extend selection on "sort range" dialog
- the data range is updated to the extended selection

It seams like a bug to me as the user never explicitly wanted to change the
data range.

Also, it happens when the selection is made with the "select range" on the data
menu, AND when the selection of the data range is made manually.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120212] Writer inserts empty pages when opening a generated file

2018-10-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120212

i just tried again with lo 6.1.2.1:

> while loading it shows 100 pages,
> however it's updated to 30 after a couple of seconds...

yes it's updated after some seconds, but every time i open
the document the pages differ, for example: 90, 99, 72 ...

but if i switch to print previev as soon as possible after loading process
the status bar shows: "repagination..." and pages switch to 30.

this does not happen if i wait to long. in such a case the switch
to print preview happens without repagination and paes atay at 90,99,...

question: how can a repagination be forced ? is there an .uno: command?

with my *debug* version:
Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: bc32f789bb3c079eba9c07275866a7b13f76dbcc
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: threaded

pages start at 100 and switch to 30 after some seconds.

I have made a sanitised copy of my file so you can play with it.
On the Pivot Table By Category sheet, select YearMonth 20189 then select
'regular or discretionary' S.
The columns will disappear. You can select Edit-Undo and the last filter will
be removed, but you will be unable to modify the month, YearMonth or Category
filters.
You can select a different year, but then the columns will disappear again.
If you Edit - Undo this will make the columns come back, but the filter arrows
will still be disabled. The only way to free them again is to modify the layout
and save it, then modify it again to undo your changes.
