[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120359] New: LibreOffice Draw should open a jpg at image size

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120359

Bug ID: 120359
Summary: LibreOffice Draw should open a jpg at image size
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: myusualnickn...@gmail.com

Description:
I opened a .jpg file with draw, and it placed the image centered on the page
with no dialog asking me of how I wanted to open the image.

I would expect it to create a page size the same size as the image.. I would
expect it to ask me the dots per inch or have me go thru some other dialog if I
am OPENING a jpg file rather than importing one.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open draw
2.select open file
3.select the image I want to open
4. open the file

Actual Results:
There is an 8.5x11 piece of paper assumed with my image centered in it.

Expected Results:
a dialog asking me if I want to open with what paper size it centered and
maximized in landscape or portrait, or at the exact size of the image I was
opening and the dpi of that image.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120358] New: Long multi-layered numbered list in a table became mis-ordered after some editing

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120358

Bug ID: 120358
Summary: Long multi-layered numbered list in a table became
mis-ordered after some editing
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: frank...@goodhorse.idv.tw

Description:
I just experienced a series of Writer crashing, anonymous report starting from
UUID: 27bd50d1-04d4-4b38-a70b-8f31ca3b6fa0, all the same system information:

Version Version: 6.1.1.2
OS linux
OS details 0.0.0 Linux 4.15.0-36-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 24
16:19:09 UTC 2018 x86_64
Build Architecture amd64
CPU Infofamily 6 model 69 stepping 1
Crash ReasonSIGSEGV
Crash Address 0x62164e9d
Crash Thread0

All the crashes happened during I re-format the long multi-layered numbered
list in the first column of the second table.

The display (rendering) "bumped" every time I changed a line, then after some
time it crashes.

After trying hard to make things done, saved and reopened, and tried to
re-organize the numbered item, the layer will become mis-ordered.

(Desktop recording attached later)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the odt file.
2. In the second table, around item (八)、(九)、(十), put the cursor in front of
(九), hit the Backspace to attached after the item (八), then hit Enter to go
back.
3. Do the same to (十) to attached after the item (九), then you can see the
numbered 7. (under (七)) became mis-ordered.

Actual Results:
Item (七) 7. became mis-ordered.

Expected Results:
Item (七) 7. should stay where it was.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It looks like something not handling well with long, multi-layer numbered list
positioned in a table.

The original file is a .doc file, but I cleared all the format before
re-formatting, set up the numbered list properties, then did the re-format.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107787] Gradients steps don't save

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107787

--- Comment #13 from Leandro Martín Drudi ---
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #12)
> (In reply to Leandro Martín Drudi from comment #11)
> > I do not know if I understood your question well...
>
> It was more a rhetorical question :-)
> Point is that all area fill options are direct formatting (like when you
> press "bold" on the standard toolbar) and not styles (such as the character
> style "emphasis"). That's perfectly clear for solid colors, which could be
> helpful to understand why gradients work likewise.

[ES]
Aquí se juntan muchos problemas y el principal es mi pésimo inglés (debo
recurrir a Google Translator).
Llega a tal
punto esto que digo que muchas veces he pensado en dejar de aportar a
LibreOffice con alguna ayuda o reporte (como ya dejé de dar soporte económico
por esto mismo) debido a que no me siento acompañado como usuario.

[EN]
Here many problems come together and the main one is my bad English (I must use
Google Translator). Honestly between this and talking to a user as if it were
an expert (in some aspects, not always and not all but the majority) it is very
difficult to understand.
But, as a user, what interests me is the answer to this:
1) Can that be converted to what a user really expects?
2) How long could it take to shape what one expects?
3) Is it already working on it or am I just wasting my time?
I must clarify that if the answer to 3 is "no", I think I will leave
LibreOffice because I do not feel that you take seriously some important things
for the users. However, I keep hoping that in future releases (in LibreOffice
7, maybe?) This is completely solved and I can use these gradients as I hope to
use it and not have to reinvent the wheel every time I have to format the
different ones elements of a file.
I have discussed a lot with experts in some Telegram chats about LibreOffice
where experts find a problem with each solution. And when someone poses a
problem, they explain a very complicated alternative to do the same thing
instead of solving the shortest route. They never try to verify the origin of
the problem and help solve it.
I do not say this for anyone in particular, but in general, in many aspects of
the operation of LibreOffice support. It reaches this point that I say that
many times I have thought about stopping contributing LibreOffice with some
help or report (as I stopped giving financial support for this) because I do
not feel accompanied as a user.

Just encountered this bug in version 6.0.6.2

Also like to clarify the bug. Every page after the landscape page will print
in landscape mode and be cut off on the bottom.

Wasted 50 pages of printing because of this.

A really odd workaround is that if you set the portrait page width to something
custom, the problem disappears. (other than the printer settings are now off
for paper size.)

details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120357] New: The last drawn form control does not refresh on switching to design mode, if OpenGL is on

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120357

Bug ID: 120357
Summary: The last drawn form control does not refresh on
switching to design mode, if OpenGL is on
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Screenshot

Open Calc and show the 'Form controls' toolbar. Draw three buttons. Switch to
alive mode and back to design mode. Notice, that the last drawn button is not
refreshed and badly rendered.
I see this behavior not only in Calc but in the other modules too.
It happens not only to buttons but to list-box and combo-box to the button-like
drop-down part too.

It occurs, if OpenGL is enabled. It does not occur, if OpenGl is disabled.

I work on Windows 10.

Why not but how menu Data/Autofilter should retrieve "queryfield" and
"querytext" values?
The toolbar equivalent retrieves these from
extensions/source/bibliography/toolbar.cxx#484
by retrieving "Search Key" for "querytext" value and shows a list to select
"queryfield" value.

Should it open a new dialog containing the list of fields and a textbox for
querytext?

Test database

It turned out to be simple to replicate this issue. The attached is a
self-contained database (HSQLDB) with one table (table1) and one form (table1).

One can enter data directly into the table with no problem, omitting fields f2
and/or f3, both of which are defined as optional (f1 is auto-incremented
primary key).

Using form table1, neither field f2 nor f3 can be omitted.

Hi Xisco,

Yes, I'm sure.
It's better to test on Windows, because there the actual focus is visible in
most of the cases. While on linux, at least at my side, there is no focus
indicator for buttons for example. It needs to push space to see where is the
actual focus.
It can't land on OK button after angle's box, because there are a Help and a
Reset button before. You might see an extra blue border around OK button, but
it's not the focus (which moves by TAB), but it shows the button which will be
"pushed" by enter.

I cannot submit my real database easily, so I will have to try and reproduce on
a new test database. I will do so when I can get time. I may have to revert
to an older version to keep my system working.

I searched for similar issues but didn't find any.

This was OK on 6.1.1 rc2 until the 6.1.2 rc1 update I received today on ubuntu.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120351] New: Writer hangs for over 20 minutes loading a 3MB, 450-page DOCX Edit

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120351

Bug ID: 120351
Summary: Writer hangs for over 20 minutes loading a 3MB,
450-page DOCX Edit
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: asaf.bar...@gmail.com

Description:
Trying to load the attached DOCX results in a hang. I force-quit after 20
minutes. The DOCX was created in MS Word (2013 I think), and is about 450
pages, thousands of footnotes, but no graphics AFAIK.

I am using the latest package provided by snap. LibreOffice 6.1.2.1. Ubuntu
18.04.

Olivier Tilloy from Canonical confirmed the bug and added:

"I can observe the issue in an up-to-date bionic amd64 VM. Opening the attached
document and rendering it completely took 32 minutes. This is an insane amount
of time to load a 516 pages document (153316 words, 927209 characters), but it
eventually completed and once done the document can be navigated and edited
just fine, as far as I can tell."

"Note that I also tested libreoffice 6.0.6 that's installed by default in
Ubuntu 18.04 (the deb packages, not the snap), and it took over 20 minutes to
load the same document, so it's not a snap-specific problem."

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached DOCX file.
2. Observe time passing.
3. Observe more time passing. :)

Actual Results:
as described above, it took literally half an hour of 100% CPU effort to open.

Expected Results:
I expect it to open in under 30 seconds.

Reproducible: Always

callout visualization (and export to PDF)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release

Description:
Line connector for callout (for all callouts with line connector) not displayed
in page area from 420mm to right edge.

Steps to Reproduce:
(Win7-64bit version is affected too)
1. Open LOO|Draw (new drawing)
2. Set-up page paper format A2 landscape (594mm x 420mm)

same)
4. Draw callout - connector line heads to left or right and must intersect
vertical (symbolic) line 420mm (from left side of the paper)

Actual Results:
Part of callout connector line (from 420mm to right) is not visible and not
exported to PDF too.

Expected Results:
Callout connector line is visible in full size (in page area from 420mm to
right).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120349] New: Text fields return wrong text to input method

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120349

Bug ID: 120349
Summary: Text fields return wrong text to input method
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dorota.czaplejew...@puri.sm

The LO text widgets providw wrong values of the text surrounding the cursor
wrong values under the following circumstances:

using Wayland
gnome-shell master (commit 33ffdd60)
mutter master (commit 33ffdd60)
gtk 3-24 (commit 36656ea13a735377e59376276727edf63b0e035b)
libreoffice 6.1 (libreoffice 6.0 will likely crash)

the issue is that the zwp_text_input_v3 protocol mandates text input *not* to
include the preedit text contents, while LibreOffice includes it.

This is an issue uncovered in the Gtk bug:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/585

Is this a problem in the LO implementation of the text field?

I bibisected with 6.2 (I updated the 6.2 today with "git checkout master", then
with "git pull") and I CAN NOT reproduce the bug on linux through bibisecting.

But it is strange that I could reproduce on the same computer with a version
6.2 of LO from .deb files:

"master_2018-10-05_00.43.34_LibreOfficeDev_6.2.0.0.alpha0_Linux_x86-64_deb"

Telesto changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|RESOLVED|UNCONFIRMED
 Resolution|NOTABUG |---
  Component|Writer |LibreOffice

Convincing the UX-team is quite hard, I noticed. Lets give it a second try,
with some - artificial? - examples (before I throw the towel). Widening the
scope to LibreOffice (not only Writer)

Some arguments additional
1. The current solution breaks with the LibreOffice behavior prior to LibO 6.1
(for non-keyboard users)
2. The change was made on a technical reason (not a design decision) & it's
fixable without concessions to the keyboard navigation (if I understand Jim
correctly)
3. It's rather inconsistent (floating formatting toolbar behaves differently
4. Changing the font size or font type focuses the document again
(keyboard/mouse)
5. The cursor keeps inside the document when using the properties deck (it only
loses focus after switching between decks & back)

Few examples:
1. Open Impress;
2. Ignore the Template manager;
3. Switch to Master slides,
4. Choose a template
5. Click into a textbox
6. Switch to properties deck
7. Apply Bold
8. Start typing -> Not working
9. Press CTRL+F6 -> Working but no cursor

1. Open Calc
2. Go to Styles
3. Select (for example a status style) for A1
4. Select A2
5. Switch to properties deck
6. Start typing > No go

1. Open Writer
2. Go to styles
3. Select Heading 1
4. Type something
5. Press Enter
6. Switch to the properties deck
7. Press Center Horizontally

1. Open Writer
2. Insert Gallery item..
3. Press Enter a few times, and start typing
4. Switch to the properties deck & select bold
5. Go on with typing (no go)
6. Do the same with (floating) formatting toolbar (working)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120348] New: Copy-paste of line chart to another spreadsheet results in data loss if the data-range of the chart contains cells that have value ERR:502

2018-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120348

Bug ID: 120348
Summary: Copy-paste of line chart to another spreadsheet
results in data loss if the data-range of the chart
contains cells that have value ERR:502
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.6.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tuomas123.jan...@yahoo.com

Created attachment 145415
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=145415=edit
Spreadsheet contains data and chart. Copying chart to another spreadsheet
results in corrupted chart.

I have numerical data in four columns. These columns contains references to
cells in other columns eg. LOG(C6). Some of the cells that are referenced are
blank. This results in ERR:502 (log(0)!).

I select the columns and insert a chart: Insert -> Chart -> Line. I select
"Lines only". I get a line chart where the parts of the lines that refer to
ERR:502-cells are not drawn (This is the desired behaviour). I can copy the
chart (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V) on the same spreadsheet with no corruption.

I then paste the chart on another spreadsheet, text document, drawing or
presentation. The chart is otherwise identical to the original one except:
Only the first part of the line that is non-continuous due to ERR:502-cells is
present on the copied chart. The latter parts of the line are not shown.

(One of the lines is also non-continuous due to empty cells (no error). This
line is copied correctly.)

I inspected the copied charts: Right-click -> Data table... The data table does
not contain values after the first blank area of the corrupted line. It seems
that the data for the line does not get copied after cells that contain
ERR:502.
The data table of the copied chart contains only values and empty cells. It
does not contain cells that have value "ERR:502".

Work-around:
1. "Export as image" results in correct png-images that can be imported to
other documents.
2. The sheet could be modified so that no ERR:502 cells are present.
