[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87719] No means of dragging an image when its anchored as character

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87719

Version: 6.1.2.1 (x64)
Build ID: 65905a128db06ba48db947242809d14d3f9a93fe
OS: Windows 10

As of this version, character dragging still shows the unwanted behaviour. i.e.
dragging an image anchored as character just moves it up and down within the
line that it is in (ugh who would want this behaviour), and it is still not
possible to drag it like a character and drop it in the middle of a sentence.

table properties dialog

thanks for the information, but in table properties it's possible to have color
and bitmap background and this two options I'd like to have in the toolbar too.

The overall proposal is that the UI is different for boarder/line style (see
BUG 120886) and fill style. For FIll Style the situation is a bit beter cause
ONLY in table the FillStyle setting isn't possible.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72516] EDITING: Unable to set more than 99, 99 mm spacing below a paragraph

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72516

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120888] New: Toggling undocked Navigator from page number field causes toggle off and and then back on

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120888

Bug ID: 120888
Summary: Toggling undocked Navigator from page number field
causes toggle off and and then back on
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayk...@gmail.com

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open Writer
2) Open Navigator - Menu > View > Navigator or F5
3) Undock Navigator if needed - +F10
4) Click in page number field
5) Press F5 or whatever shortcut key is assigned to Navigator

Results: Navigator toggles off and then back on. On my really slow machine I
see this happen. Faster computers will just be a flash.

Reproduced in:

Version 5.1.6.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.6~rc2~0ubuntu1~xenial4
CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

and later

I will provide a patch on confirmation

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120759] Writer FillStyle Table Background

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120759

I would not do it without a clear proposal, how this can be added to ODF. With
current ODF1.2 it is not possible, and ODF1.3 has already "feature freeze". Of
cause it is possible to put filling into private namespace "loext". But that
should be done in a way, that it can be a template for ODF 1.4. A similar
problem exists for header, footer, and paragraph. For tables it is more
complicated, because there you have to consider the representation of table
templates in ODF in addition to style and its inheritance.

We had already a lot of discussion on extending the fill options, see bug 94768
and bug 103602. Only for page fill it is clear now, how to implement it,
including file format.

To summarize: It is only possible in loext-namespace, and it is not trivial.

I think with have LineWidth and XLineStyle also for boarders would improve the
consistency of the UI a lot.

If XLineStyle isn't possible for boarders than at least LineStyle should look
like XLineStyle, but than we have to check before if the new shape work
everwhere where LineStyle is used now.

Graphic Toolbar in Calc and Writer

In LibreOffice there are BoarderFormating and LineFormating and the issue is
that in different apps the same elements were used in a different way.

e.g. in the attachment you see the toolbars in calc and writer when you select
an graphic.

writer
--
Show SetBorderStyle, LineStyle, FrameLineColor

calc

Show XLineStyle, LineWidth, XLineColor

different uno commands for the "same" graphic in different apps.

However I don't care about the technical reason. The main topic from the UI is,
that the toolbar look different.

--
LineStyle and XLineStyle should use the same layout
LineWidth should be also available for boarders
--

I prefer the "larger" layout with an preview like you see in the attachment in
calc.

Somewhat better in 6.0.6.2. Now the text case file ordered list is recognized
if you use cut and paste, but the space between the separator '.' and the list
content is lost, like so:

I.Coffee

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49684] the Navigator gets the focus when starting a new document while the Navigator is open

Not sure if that will help to prevent that the focus is *somewhere* but not in
the document?
If I read it, it may still be that the focus is on the Navigator's frame :D ?

Yes, I opened bug 120854 on the general support of this feature (ie. being able
to adjust the settings in Writer in similar manner to Word, feature differences
considered). Importing/exporting the setting is easier to support, and
restricting editing to form fields is already supported, which is another
subset of the feature. Otherwise I'm not sure how similar the issue is to bug
104494, the symptoms are rather different, that's why I decided opening a new
ticket. Thanks for checking!

@Julien are coordinating with Tamas on this. My understand from an email
exchange with him last week is the at he plans on changing over to use an
existing SQL parser (implemented in C) to help cover some of these trickier
issues. I don't think that code has been uploaded yet however, so you may want
to touch base with him.

I currently can't fully test due to bug 120882 (wrong toolbars are
enabled/disabled, s. c#1), but if I leave commit
b439cfda24676c5272e3fe30c0a521975f948274 (i.e. the fix for bug 120450) and
revert a77163f0bd21d018da0e195974b42d6d71503592 (which seems to cause bug
120882), the problem is still there for me, so I'm reopening for now.

I'll be happy to test again once bug 120882 has been fixed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120882] kde5: Active toolbar not always correctly shown in "View" -> "User Interface"

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120882

This seems to be somewhat related to the following commit:

commit a77163f0bd21d018da0e195974b42d6d71503592
Author: Katarina Behrens
Date: Mon Oct 22 14:30:20 2018 +0200

tdf#119856: [Re-]activate menu before dispatching command

Menu entry dispatchers may be cleared (after they've been initially
set) when an extension comes with its own menu entries. Activating
the entry sets the dispatcher again so that dispatching a command
can proceed

If I revert this commit, it works as expected.

I just realized that this seems to be a more general issue with the menu item
indices. e.g. clicking some items under "View" -> "Toolbar" most of the time
either enables/disables another toolbar than selected or crashes LibreOffice.
This also goes away when I temporarily revert the above commit.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120882] New: kde5: Active toolbar not always correctly shown in in "View" -> "User Interface"

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120882

Bug ID: 120882
Summary: kde5: Active toolbar not always correctly shown in in
"View" -> "User Interface"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m.wegh...@posteo.de

Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 9dc5234d36ebcafca36aece80b6a9b59da287cda
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.18; UI render: default; VCL: kde5;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); Calc: threaded

This is specific to the qt5/kde5 VCL plugins. It works OK when using e.g. the
gtk3 VCL plugin.

Steps to reproduce:

0) make sure that "Standard Toolbar" is used (used by default, so e.g. delete
user profile if changed manually)

1) start LibreOffice Writer
2) open the "View" -> "User Interface" menu
3) observe that "Standard Toolbar" is selected (a expected)
4) select "Sidebar" instead
5) observe that sidebar is enabled (as expected)
6) open the "View" -> "User Interface" menu again
7) observe that "Sidebar" is selected (a expected)
8) select "Standard Toolbar" instead
9) observe that sidebar is collapsed (as expected)
10) open the "View" -> "User Interface" menu again
11) check what radio button is checked

Result: The radio button for "Sidebar" is still checked.

Expected result: The radio button for "Standard Toolbar" should be active,
since that one was selected in step 8.

Strange... the problem does not exist anymore.

I created various pdf outputs:

And guess what? All outputs are perfect. I suppose some windows 10 or graphic
driver issue in the background.

Thanks for your attention.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120879] New: UI: "New Snap Object" dialog box needs Help/Ok/Cancel button order changed

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120879

Bug ID: 120879
Summary: UI: "New Snap Object" dialog box needs Help/Ok/Cancel
button order changed
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: br...@osdinitiatives.com

Description:
The 'Help' button has focus so when I enter a number and hit the key
the "LibreOffice Help Not Installed" dialog box opens. It would be more
convenient (and consistent with other dialog boxes like "Paragraph") if the
'Ok' button was first in line to receive the key press.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw
2. Insert -> Snap Guide
3. Enter random number
4> Press

Actual Results:
"LibreOffice Help Not Installed" dialog box opens
(or presumable help file opens)

Expected Results:
"New Snap Object" dialog box disappears and the new guide is inserted into the
document.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

It is surprising to see that this bug is still present in LibreOffice
v6.1.2.1!!! This is very important for my work. However I found a workaround
from https://superuser.com/questions/1235922/how-to-rename-a-reference.
Basically unzip and edit content.xml to search & replace all the occurrences of
the reference by the desired name.

I COULD reproduce this with my own release build of

This is come kind of gtk3 assert issue, as every time you hover the mouse over
the comment, you get the following error in console:

Xisco,
I could NOT reproduce it with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen or gtk. What did you mean
by "partially displayed"?

Cloph,
What version of gtk is @70-TDF building against? What are the build parameters?

What WTF... behavior is as old as Methuselah :p
And using Tab for changing indent on headings is direct formatting.
Two reasons for me to not support this request. I would say WFM.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120868] Libre Office 6.0.6.2 dotted/dash cell borders display as solid line at 100% zoom

2018-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #2 from johnmcfarlan...@hotmail.com ---
In newer version 6.1.2.1 similar result dotted horizontally, appears solid
vertically. Changing outline using Toolbar icons seems to produce different
result to drop down menu cell format. Again zooming 200% plus reveals dots but
heavy line.
