[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121480] Add generalized Pan control at point of selection -- i.e. a Hand tool

Not really nice with the toggle and the duplicate functionality whether the mode is on or off but acceptable from the UX POV. So the remaining question is why do we need this in Writer? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84517] UI: wrong number of selected rows in status bar when rows are filtered
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84517 --- Comment #13 from Colin --- I am experiencing the same (bug 121551) but also, noted that if the sheet contains a couple of thousand rows and 40+ columns then the value summaries -total, average- of the selected rows also appear to be calculated on the total value of all the cells in the unfiltered range. As noted, cutting and pasting to a new "unfiltered" location, sheet, document, produces the correct summaries. The summaries are also impacted if the filtered rows are sorted on one of the other filters. Sorting on the actual filtered column then rectifies the summaries. There are some fairly definitive screen images attached to that closed report. It would also surprise me if this is not a cause of the printing anomaly whereby the "end of page" for the printed output is "erratic" - some pages in the multi-page document will contain perhaps 10 lines whilst others may be only 1 or 2 lines short of a full page and not quite so noticeable. If it's of any assistance, I can provide a completely anonymised sheet with 3000+ rows of actual data, where the personal information is encrypted - but still sortable. Definitely no GDPR issues and masses of permutation possibilities. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113144] Selecting hebrew character with mouse wont select its diacritics
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113144 --- Comment #2 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121571] New: Notes and warnings in help have the wrong icons
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121571 Bug ID: 121571 Summary: Notes and warnings in help have the wrong icons Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.0.0.beta1+ Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Documentation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: fit...@ubuntu.com CC: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org Blocks: 97629 Created attachment 146857 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=146857=edit Notes and warnings — before and after It’s always bothered me that notes are yellow instead of green, and warnings are red instead of yellow. It creates cognitive dissonances across the help content. To solve this, the browser-based help should use the icons from core/icon-themes/colibre_svg/res/helpimg instead of from core/icon-themes/colibre_svg/help (I don’t know why the latter folder exists — it’s just duplication). Once solved, the note icon should become a green check mark instead of a yellow clipboard, and the warning icon should become a yellow shield instead of a red alert sign. I create documents in writer and export them to PDF format. If the "Show PDF document" option is set then existing PDF document is shown BEFORE new document is created. It worked correctly in earlier 6.1 version. Tested only with the Writer. Don't know about other components. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open document in Writer. 2. Export it as PDF. Remember to set option "Display PDF after export" 3. Modify document in Writer. 4. Export it as PDF again, with the same settings. Perhaps it is also important to set option "Edit document properties before save" option in the Load/Save options. Actual Results: Both document properties window and existing PDF document are displayed. It is not possible to continue exporting without closing PDF. Document contains previous version of the document. Expected Results: PDF document should be displayed AFTER exporting the document. The default printer has "1" as the number of copies in the "print" dialogue, as it should. If you then try to select another printer, the number of copies will be automatically elevated to another number (3, 5..) - this number seems to follow the alphabetically sorted position of the selected printer (like Canon=2, Epson=3, HP=5 etc.). My current version of LO is 6.0.6.2 (x64), Windows ver. 1803 (build 17134.407) - the previous version already had this bug, but it took some time to trace. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121560 --- Comment #2 from studog --- I did some research before reporting this bug. I couldn't find anything directly relevant. I did find some discussion about an intra-threads bug where the fix went into 5.2.x. This spreadsheet is a native created-with-Calc spreadsheet. It's never been an .xls. It has never been stored on a networked filesystem; always direct local SSD access. I will admit to fat-fingering sometimes in Calc, and having to undo to recover from it. However, the exact specific sequence of actions needed to accomplish a "sheet reset" would be very hard to perform accidentally: - length of sequence of "accidental" actions - some actions are mouse-only; they have no keyboard equivalent I've added a cron job to make nightly backups. If this happens again, I'll have better history to add here and no data loss. I'm unsure whether turning on Track Changes will help, but I've done that as well. I think I recall a couple of times where opening the sheet took a long time, but I'm not certain about that. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121560] New: Multiple but not all worksheets completely suddenly blank
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121560 Bug ID: 121560 Summary: Multiple but not all worksheets completely suddenly blank Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stuartm.cod...@gmail.com Description: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.6.2 Build ID: 1:6.0.6-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-CA (en_CA.UTF-8); Calc: group PC user@host:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release:18.04 Codename: bionic user@host:~$ uname -a Linux host 4.15.0-38-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 10 10:59:38 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I have a spreadsheet I've been working on/with for 18 months give or take. The last time I used it, yesterday or the day before, everything was fine, as far as I know. The last time I would have seen those sheets directly would be Oct 31 2018 while using ctrl-pgup / -pgdn to cycle past the tabs. I would have noticed them being blank at that time. Today I opened it at lunch, and two of the worksheets are completely blank. All data is gone. The other worksheets are fine. It is as if I had executed this sequence of steps: - group tabs "Losses - Legend" and "Errands" by clicking one sheet and ctrl-clicking the second sheet - ctrl-a to select all - right-click - Clear contents... - check off "Delete all" - press OK Or some equivalent set of steps that takes even longer than that. I can guarantee that I did not do that accidentally. Data and formatting are completely gone, including borders, cell/column/row sizing and fill colours. The sheets look like they have been just-created; default everything for a blank sheet. Steps to Reproduce: No idea how this occurred. Actual Results: No idea how to reproduce this. Expected Results: Spreadsheet does not lose data Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The spreadsheet was created on an Ubuntu 16.04 system with whatever release of LibreOffice was current at the time I created the spreadsheet, around maybe Jul 2017. As a rule, I hibernate when moving my laptop from home to office. I usually use ctrl-s to save before exiting. I don't believe my laptop has encountered a drained battery situation recently, but has in the past and may have since the end of Oct when I last knew with reasonable certainty that the worksheets were ok. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86100] FILEOPEN Excel 2003 XML: DateTime cells imported wrong
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86100 --- Comment #11 from Thomas Krumbein --- @ Timor: Sorry, my note was going back to the original bug #86097 so, I got this announcement from QA Adminstrator and checked it with an orginal file - so this was the result. In Bug #86097 there was mentioned 2 bugs : 1. Date-Values, 2. Formular-values. Formular-values was fixed before, date-values still was open. This is now nearly fixed - only format is wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
