https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121728 Bug ID: 121728 Summary: Laser Pointer Icon in Multi-Monitor Presenter Mode Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: doak...@gmail.com Description: I propose we create a laser pointer icon that appears on the audience-view monitor that responds to the mouse position on the presenter view. I have written a little python script that does this for me when I hold the ctrl key, but I think people may like such a feature to be part of libreoffice. Demo: https://doakey3.imgur.com/all My Python Script: https://github.com/doakey3/impress_mousefollow Actual Results: Presenters using multiple non-duplicate monitors who want to mouse-over an area on their slide must look up at the projector and awkwardly position the mouse over the text (or use an actual laser pointer, which does not get recorded when the presentation is being recorded with screencasting software) Expected Results: Presenters should be able to visibly mouse-over an area on a slide without having to turn to look at the projector. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98002] Deadlock with Clipboard Help+Spell
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98002 --- Comment #15 from jhertel --- I can try for a while, but I can't do much more than leave LibreOffice running for hours while I do other stuff, and then see if the problem arises by itself. Then I will have to install 5.2.7.2 again, since newer versions of LibreOffice still have the previously mentioned long-standing bug that seriously affects working with encrypted documents (Bug 105844), so I can't use newer versions until that bug has been fixed. At least with this present bug (98002), I have made a workaround program that automatically closes Clipboard Help+Spell whenever I start LibreOffice, so it's kind of bearable now, except I can't use Clipboard Help+Spell when LibreOffice is running. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121705] Select multiple tables in a Writer document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121705 --- Comment #6 from Juan Hernandez --- I have asked for the possibility of selecting multiple tables in Writer and perhaps I have given an uninteresting example that demonstrates that need. Actually, applying styles to multiple tables is the part that interests me the least. I particularly work with hundreds of tables in a document and it is very common to select only a few (20, 30, etc) of the hundreds of tables in it. At the moment that is something impossible to do in Writer. Maybe it's just something that I just need as a user and it's not worth the effort. In any case, I very much doubt that it is not, in fact, something that many users miss. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100932] Consider adding logging for command line / shell --headless usage
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100932 --- Comment #6 from Mike Kaganski --- The logging in LO is done in places that developers consider useful during the development. At no place any of developers considered the cost of logging when added it in a place (well, I exaggerate a little, but still). So the logging might happen in places called thousands of millions times during e.g. loading of a real-life file. And having a couple of additional comparisons and a couple of indirections in a tight loop might well result in a considerable penalty. But that is just a speculation. Doers decide; so if anyone wants to give it a try, welcome to dev channel, and please feel free to try to implement the proposal (we would help answering questions, of course) - with necessary testing/profiling.
