Open in Impress. Edit In Impress the text in the file in any minor way, and save the file still as *.ppt . When the file is reopened within Windows Mspowerpoint, the Title objects will have been renamed, and the Outline view no longer shows any Titles, although there is still a text box object containing the text of the title on the slides. They still exist and are seen in the slide view, but any global actions on "Titles" such as formatting those objects or including them in the Outline view does not show them. If I reopen this modified file in Impress, is does not show titles in the Outline view either. Screen shots are available. I have been told that opening PPT files on some tablets or phones does something similar, but I cannot verify that. This a major nuisance and major hurdle to collaborations with file exchanges. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The convertion to PNG is done using 96 ppi only and doesn't care about the SVGs dimensions (f.e. when it got resized in LibreOffice. So, when loading a SVG with a dimension of 30 mm × 30 mm, it gets rendered to PNG with 96 ppi and a size of 30 mm × 30 mm. When scaling the SVG to 120 mm × 120 mm, it also gets rendered to 30 mm × 30 mm, but scaled to 120 mm afterwards. In "Expert Options", you can select "PixelExportResolution", but it is ignored. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a reference SVG: https://dev.w3.org/SVG/tools/svgweb/samples/svg-files/ 2. Insert it into a Write document 3. Save it to DOCX 4. Open in Microsoft Office or unpack ZIP and find the media directory Actual Results: Unsharp raster image, since the dimensions and pixel resolution is too low / fixed at a default value, which might be too low in many cases. Expected Results: At least it's expected to render the SVG at the target dimensions, but it's highly recommended to set a proper resolution for high quality export/printing/viewing to DOCX. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72662] Be able to see different measurement units for line versus page properties (e.g. pt and in)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72662 --- Comment #6 from Luke --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #5) > Removing needUX. The idea is to introduce a numerical stepper control which > holds the values as well as the corresponding units. Not sure that I understand what you are proposing. I am a user who needs this feature. I have literally toggled the sole "measurement unit" option between 'point' and 'inch' hundreds of times in my life. There is no reason that I should know this feature by heart. The solution is simple: we need sane defaults. I just check Word Perfect and MS Word. As expected, both of them measure line widths and spacing in points. We measure them in our default unit, inches. This is illogical and wrong. There very well established industry standards. Fonts and line spacing are measured in points. This is typography 101. The whole point of units is to interact with others, and this is an established standard for the field. The primary fix should not be to clutter the UI with more options. We just need sane defaults. If we must allow customizing of units normally measured in points, then have 2 measurement options. A primary for your ruler and object lengths. A secondary for more specialized typography uses such as fonts width, line spacing, and line width. But sane defaults would have prevents me from toggling the "measurement unit" 99% of the time. It sounds to me like the proposed solution is over engineered and over complicated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
