If only one cell is selected, the cell with different font sizes, the size of
all the text is changed correctly.

If more than one cell is selected, the behaviour is still wrong; the text size
is not changed for all text in the mixed cell.

I'd say that is reasonable, but you'd need to check that OpenSymbol currently
has at least the code points that StarSymbol has or we're going to have
regression complaints :-(

Hi Xisco, I see, understood and uploaded.

Also FYI, I did some other photo editing saved to .docx recently and none of it
saved when I reopened the document. These issues didn't involve transparency,
but possibly related since they are about saving in .docx.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

2018-12-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90781

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Not to clear on the page wrap--text wrap aspect here... could you attach a
screen clip or two.

Otherwise per bug 87360 the 0 cm padding is preferred for images that are
actually draw:image elements held in draw:frame and recorded into ODF that way.
While see also bug 90070 details undesired resize of image(s) when a border is
used--that the frame needs to adjust and not scale the image.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122064] New: In impress the text when running slideshow gets randomly cut off and diplays different cut offs each time the same file is played.

2018-12-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122064

Bug ID: 122064
Summary: In impress the text when running slideshow gets
randomly cut off and diplays different cut offs each
time the same file is played.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: khiro...@gmail.com

Description:
I made a slideshow for a Scouts troop. When playing the slide on some slides
the title gets cut off either on the beginning or end. I thought this was my
format, however without altering the file or slides I replayed it and different
slides were cut off and the original cut off slides displayed normal. The title
getting cut off was random every time I played the same unaltered presentation.
Thankyou Khiron Samerotti

Actual Results:
Make a slide and insert a picture. Have the title above the pic and play
slideshow starting from first slide. The title gets cut off randomly on
different slides on every start.

Expected Results:
It should have displayed the title above the picture without random cut offs.

Reproducible: Always

Image Padding

By default padding at images is 0,00 cm when you use page wrap where the text
wrap around the image 0 cm padding is not sufficient.

I would suggest to have as default padding 0,20 cm. MS Word use by default 0,32
cm.

Maybe the problem of have padding by default is, that when you add padding, the
image size shrink cause the padding was not added outside the image, the
padding was to inside.

First run after install of xubuntu 18.04.1 32 bit
--writer, --calc and just 'libreoffice' all crash, as does 'libreoffice
--safe-mode' (this last test done with config files renamed).

Unfortunately, there seems to be a second bug in "wrapper 2.0" which prevents
sending a crash dump, so I got some details about the crash. Unfortunately
xubuntu's crash reporter doesn't for cut and paste, so I am sending a series of
screen shot .

openjdk-11-jre files are present. Synaptic package manager reports no updates

The width is 12 pixels less than it should be, and 6 pixels is the typical
border width so we've skipped the border of some widget or other in a
calculation.

I think the problem is measuring the gradient, area etc sub-pages desired size
and applying their max to its parent as the parent desired size. Which doesn't
take into account the parents border width, so the gradient gets hosted inside
a parent which is 12 pixels less than it hoped for

- entering another value in the same column -> no freeze
- entering a value in another column, pressing Enter. Calc freezes again for
about 4 s.
- switching to table "Zusammenfassung" could take up to 22 s (depending on what
editing was done before)
- saving the file. Calc freezes for up to 42 s (depending on what editing was
done before)
Workaround: Saving the file in Excel 2007-2019 format. When using this file and
when saving it back to Excel format all the freezing mentioned above does not
happen.
Why does Calc work well with a non-native file format, but is impressingly slow
with its preferred file format?
It started being slow at file saving, I think, with version 5.3.x. It seemed to
get worse with increasing version number. But 6.1.3.2 seems to be somewhat
faster than version 6.0.7.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the attached ods file
2. enter password: bugReport
3. enter a value in a column, press Enter -> Calc freezes for about 4 s.
4. enter a value in another column, pressing Enter. -> Calc freezes again for
about 4 s.
5. Switch to table "Zusammenfassung" -> It take up to 22 s (depending on what
editing was done before) until that table is activated (it contains 7
diagrams).
6. Save the file. Calc freezes for up to 42 s (depending on what editing and
table switching was done before).

Actual Results:
Slow response/freezing as indicated in the steps above.

Expected Results:
Editing shall not be hindered by noticeable delays.
Saving shall be performed within 2-3 seconds.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Doing the same with version 5.4.x on Windows 10 also shows a file saving delay
of around 5-6 s, but no noticeable editing delay.
As mentioned above: Using a file with the same content in xlsx format works
well.
Also: when opening such a file in ods format as it was saved 3 years ago (don't
know with what version of Calc), editing and switching to table
"Zusammenfassung" works without exceptional delays. That old file was almost
double in size, so I'm wondering if a decompressing/compressing is somehow
causing the large delays.

I'm not an expert with indexes, but if you change "Freiherrn" to "Freiherr"

You are reading way too much into my "Not sure how this would be useful in a
Writer document" comment. As a coder with 30+ years of professional experience,
I understand that different folks find different uses for software. Having
followed the various incarnations of Writer since 2001, you are the first
person I have encountered who places any importance on this function. What I
read from your report is that you are asking to apply functions from totally
unrelated software to a word processor.

It is is unnecessary for me to pass anything to the developers, because from
your Adobe background you will know that this kind of bug reporting and RFE
facility is where developers look for possible code errors and/or possible
improvements.

Anyway, let's leave it there. You say it doesn't work and my screen capture
says it does. So for QA purposes this is a WON'T FIX.

Hi!

Please believe me, if I felt the lack of it, it means that a marker system
would be really useful. When you're writing about several topics to being able
to navigate between paragraphs that relate within the same logic is precious.
I use the marker system in all the software which offer it. I'm a coder for
about 18 years, I couldn't live without within my development tools.
Also when you're on an animation timeline when you work with 3D it's very
useful also.
Moreover, not only the former Adobe Director software was proposing it, but
also we had the option to put code onto the markers, to having the animations
to be driven by sections powered by the marker system.
Please, pass this conversation to the developers, I'm sure they'll understand
what I mean, and the importance of that system...
