[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 37817] Zoom mode to the Full-width between set page margins only--no horizontal scroll
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37817 --- Comment #14 from Heiko Tietze --- I'm totally in for making the "hide whitespace" function also affecting the left/right margins. But I don't see switching UI elements on/off, or collapsing it, as a special "view". That would rather be a MUFFIN thing and perfectly suited for an extension. Regarding use cases, for example bug 123523 is not talking about a workflow. It could be "I want to have more space to read documents in full size on my small screen" or a bit more far fetched "I want to use large margins but not see it while editing". As a WYSIWYG editor this is going to be out of scope. We should be very carefully with keeping focus not working on the swiss-army-knife. What makes sense to me is the workflow "I want to visually compare documents" and we have to consider special solutions (not saying hide whitespace etc. is off-topic in this mode). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123565] I Want an Acoustic plus an Optical Signal when Wrap Around happens when Searching or Searching and Replacing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123565 --- Comment #1 from Jim Raykowski --- Hi Adalbert, Notification of search wrapping is given in the find bar on the right in the [placeholder for message] area and in the Find & Replace dialog below the Match case and Whole words only check boxes. The messages shown for text searches are "Reached the beginning of the document", "Reached the end of the document" and "Search key not found". For Navigate By element searches the messages show are "Reached the beginning of the document, continued from the end", "Reached the end of the document, continued from the beginning" and "Navigation Element not found" IMHO, acoustic and animated signaling of these would be an improvement. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123576 --- Comment #2 from sebalis --- I confirm that the field has a problem for me too. The details are slightly different: When I type in the input field, I can’t change any text. So in summary I can’t set tab stop positions numerically at the moment. The left and right arrow keys work, I can also combine them with Shift to select text or with Control to move to word boundaries. Pos1 and End work as well. But any key that would change the content does not work. The Backspace and Del keys simply take me to the beginning of the field. Typing any actual character, numeric or letter, moves the caret one position forward. The field content (the position of the first defined tab stop or “0.00 cm” is none has been defined) is left unchanged in any case. I decided to fall back to the 6.1.5 release (LibreOffice_6.1.5_Win_x64.msi) to see if the problem was occurring with it also. I first installed it, and planned to test it and (if there was no problem) to install the help pack (LibreOffice_6.1.5_Win_x64_helppack_en-US.msi). Version 6.1.5 was OK by itself, but the problem occurred when I installed the help pack. It was OK after I uninstalled the help pack. In other words, it's installing the help pack that caused the problem, at least with the 6.1.5 release. I will try the 6.2.0 release by itself (i.e., no help pack) and see if the problem occurs with it alone. I will update this ticket after testing that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
