Version: 6.2.0.3
Build-ID: 98c6a8a1c6c7b144ce3cc729e34964b47ce25d62

Here with OpenSUSE 15, 64bit rpm Linux.

Note: The bug has been reported for
Build ID: 6.2.0-3
which isn't a Build-ID for the original packages of LO. Seems to be a special
LO from the Linus distribution you are using. Please try the original packages
of LO.

Guys, this is really a very annoying bug. You can forget about customized
backgrounds (gradients, patterns) if they are just not saved correctly. This
was reported more than a year ago and since then even not assigned to anybody…

The bug is there since introduction of the customized backgrounds (also in
6.2.0.3).

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75914

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Well, the Collabora representation of LibreOffice in Nextcloud is getting
better all the time, but the column and/or row freeze option isn't available

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123801] New: Small caps captions do not display the Figure/Illustration/etc. category label

2019-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123801

Bug ID: 123801
Summary: Small caps captions do not display the
Figure/Illustration/etc. category label
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: loma...@gmail.com

Description:
This at least applies to captions on images when the caption is below the
image, which is the typical scenario for caption. It is not relevant for table
captions, since with tables, the caption is just created as a separate
paragraph in the normal document text flow.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert an image into a Writer document
2. With the image selected insert a caption
3. Change the Caption paragraph style to use Small Caps font effect

Actual Results:
The caption's category label (Figure, etc.) disappears.

Expected Results:
The full caption should be visible.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This also happens if you select everything inside the caption frame and apply
Small Caps as direct formatting, or if you select the caption plus a mysterious
invisible something on the line above (the line that the image is on) and apply
Small Caps.

The label is not hiding behind the image. If you make the image transparent you
will see that the label is in fact gone. Yet, if you delete the image, the
label reappears!

Workaround: set the image anchor to Paragraph.
Alternate Workaround: click on the caption text, move the cursor all the way to
the beginning of the text frame, before the image, then press the right arrow
key once so the cursor is now on the right side of the image, then press enter
to create a paragraph break between the image and the caption.

Obviously this won't effect a lot of people and the workaround is OK *if* you
know to do it. But it is strange and I think it is just another example showing
that captions are handle poorly in LO.

And what is that mysterious invisible thing between the image and the caption?
It doesn't show up when you display formatting marks, and it doesn't even exist
in the text flow, based on moving the cursor with the arrow keys, and yet there
is clearly something there.

I can confirm that this is still an issue in 6.0.6.2 (Windows x64).

Although strangely, sometimes it seems like it is not an issue, because other
captions I created yesterday do not have the extra space, for no apparent
reason. I can't recall doing anything different to those other images/captions.
I certainly didn't delete the invisible space.

Alex, this bug is about the Insert Special Characters group button. Clicking on
it shows a dropdown with the favorite entries from the dialog, the recently
entered special characters, and a button that opens the dialog (named More
Characters...).

Previously the focus was on the first favorite character, and it was possible
to tab through the favorites. Currently the focus is on the button, and it's
not possible to reach the other special characters (favorites / recent ones) on
this group button using the keyboard. I opened bug 123793 on this issue.

Fixing this is really easy, just need to change those "can_focus" properties,
but that brings back bug 113352, and the current state seems better to me (but
if someone disagrees, feel free to make the change).

I tried to make the button the default via various properties, didn't work,
"has_focus" seemed really promising, but alas, no joy.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123795] New: save as, button frozen until reopen

2019-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123795

Bug ID: 123795
Summary: save as, button frozen until reopen
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: toddandma...@zoho.com

I have a button that calls a marco on my spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is
marked Read Only (Windows 10). I "Save As" to create a new spreadsheet with the
day's information on it.

Problem. On the new spreadsheet, the button does not work (ignores me) until I
exit the spreadsheet and reopen it. Then happy camping returns.

I would attach the spreadsheet but it has tons of private information on it.
If you really need it, I can try making non private example.

Many thanks,
-T

- Start Writer.
- Open Insert Special Characters group button, by default the button "More
Characters" is selected.
- Still on the button, try to move to any of the favorites using keyboard (not
sure which should work: Tab/Shift-Tab, arrow keys or both).

=> Focus doesn't change.

Observed using LO 6.2.0.3 / Ubuntu 18.04.

In 6.0.0.3 the group button has to be added via Tools -> Customize, and the
focus is on the first favorite. It's possible to cycle through the favorites
and the button using Tab, and insert with space/enter key. Though focus is only
shown on the first favorite (and only the first time), and on the button.

=> regression

don't seem to make it to correct location in offline
help
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Documentation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu
CC: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org

On Windows 10 Ent 64-bit en-US working with Kendy's TB39 builds
Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 5fe551931d49a64ca4ea793a5016c098e41e84cd
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

The new SVG icons/images for math elements don't seem to making it to the
correct location in the offline help.

Still seem to be using the old static/pixelated PNG icons built and placed in
help/media/helpimg/starmath rather than parsing the new SVG which are being
placed in help/media/icon-themes/starmath/res

Does the build path need a tweak to use the new SVG icons to build the icon
cache dynamically?

Seems ok with all VCL backends. Gen backend showed some different glitching
randomly at times. KDE5 was otherwise hopeless, which is no surprise at this
stage of development.
