** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

I usually populate my HSQLDB table by copying data from a Calc table. I do so
by selecting Paste > Append data. I haven't had any problems with this until
updating the LibreOffice to the latest version (6.2.0.3).

In Assign Columns dialog, the field values from source table show up truncated.
The assignment works fine, though.

This is not the already existing "Helplines while moving" feature. Indeed the

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123821] New: We should generate OLE callbacks (events) also from SwVbaDocument

2019-03-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Hardware: All

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: t...@iki.fi

Description:
A customer VB6 application wants to get events from a Document object. The
events t most likely is interested in might be Close, as the application when
running against Word (and not LibreOffice as an ersatz for Word, through the
magic of the COLEAT tool) seems to be able to make Word save a document when
the user closes the Word window.

Anyway, no way to know for sure what events are actually needed, but at least
providing a match for the IID_DocumentEvents that the VB6 application wants
would be a start. (Would require work in COLEAT, too, naturally; an additional
entry to the samples/mso.outgoing.map file.)

Note that I don't really expect anybody but myself to have any interest in or
understanding of this bug; I file it mostly for work hour tracking purposes.

A principle problem there is none :) so I won't try to block this.

Note: if there is an extension with a basic library (and I guess the same
applies to Python), one already can create a menu-item, button (tool bar) for
one or more functions of the extension, which in many situations may lead to
the same result.

I see nStartAngle 9000 and nEndAngle 9100, which is correct, only rounded. So
that part in msdffimp.cxx seems to be OK. But I wonder, why a special treating
for mso_sptArc is needed at all and why /svx/source/xoutdev/_xpoly.cxx is used.

The error happens only for a small angle difference. With 2deg difference, the
rendering is OK. So it is likely some double <-> int rounding problem.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96954] setting General number format does not work with selected cells if they are formatted to different number formats

2019-03-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Thanks for looking at this bug, FYI this bug affects all user input elements of
the "Numbers" tab of the "Format Cells" dialog (see attached screenshot) with
the exception of the "Decimal Places:" element. That is to say, the following
UI elements are affected on the "Numbers" tab:

Category
Format
Language
Leading Zeros:
Negative numbers red
Thousands separator
Format code
--The unlabeled element which displays a sample of what the formatting looks
like

For some reason, the "Decimal places:" element is the only element I can see on
this tab not affected by this bug.

Other than these elements on the "Numbers" tab, I didn't easily find any other
affected elements on any other tabs of the "Format Cells" dialog.

Still there in
Version: 6.1.3.2
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8);

sergio.callegari test document
http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124453
macro set_test_property sets a test property where the line break was removed:
"This is a stringwith a line break"

The print_test_property macro does nothing here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123818] Writer: German Translation in the Styles Sidebar wrong or confusing

2019-03-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123818

When I open the Styles Sidebar to view e.g. to copy a page Style, then I click
on the "New Style from Selecetion" icon.
In the English version then appear:
a) New Style ...
b) Update Style
c) Load Styles ...

The following options appear in the German version:
a) Neue Absatzvorlage…
b) Absatzvorlage aktualisieren
c) Neue Absatzvorlage laden…

a,b, c means:
a) New paragraph style ...
b) Update paragraph style
c) Load new paragraph style ...

This translation is not correct and very confusing for users who are less
familiar with LibreOffice.
In my opinion, this should be translated as follows:
a) Neue Vorlage aus Auswahl…
b) Vorlage aktualisieren
c) Vorlage laden…

a,b,c means:
a) New style from Selection ...
b) Update style
c) Load style ...

These terms are neutral and can be used for all Styles:
a) Paragraph Styles
b) Character Styles
c) and so on

Especially since it is particularly confusing when you are in the section
„Character Styles“ and then the creation of a "New Paragraph Style“ is offered.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123817] New: Erratic CTRL+Home in Writer documents with Headers and HIDDEN Sections

2019-03-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123817

Bug ID: 123817
Summary: Erratic CTRL+Home in Writer documents with Headers and
HIDDEN Sections
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gazz...@gazzaro.it

Description:
CTRL+Home works like this:

1. Cursor INSIDE a section: on pressing CTRL+Home ONCE the cursor goes to
the beginning of the Section, not the Document (likewise CTRL+End goes to the
end of the Section, not the end of the doc).
2. Cursor INSIDE a section: on pressing CTRL+Home TWICE the cursor does the
same, while CTRL+End TWICE sends the cursor to the end of the doc.
3. Cursor OUTSIDE a section: on pressing CTRL+Home ONCE (or more) the
cursor goes to the end of the paragraph (CTRL+End correctly goes to the end of
the doc).
4. If the document uses Headers and Hidden sections at the beginning,
CTRL+Home is erratic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Header
2.Insert Hidden Section at the very beginning of the document
3.Add text out of section as well as further sections

Actual Results:
There is a Hidden Section at the very beginning of the document, above this
line.
The document has a Header. No Header documents seem to work OK...
This text is OUTSIDE Sections. CTRL+Home does not work from here.
___
This is Section One
End of Section One
___

Text OUTSIDE Sections

___
This is Section Two
CTRL+Home works within this Section...
End of Section Two
___

Text OUTSIDE Sections.

___
This is Section Three
CTRL+Home works within this Section...
End of Section Three
___

Text OUTSIDE Sections
Put cursor here and try CRTL+Home.

Expected Results:
CTRL+Home should go to the top of the Document. CTRL+End to the bottom.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Looks to me really helpful.
Also a good place is the function wizard. Only adding a short '+Ver.6.2' to
the short help message in it, I think would be fine.

include the unx part for getting OpenGL driver & device information
desktop/unx/source/glxtest.cxx is taken directly from the Mozilla
project.
THe whole concept is taken from Mozilla and is based on starting an
early process that creates an OpenGL context. This prevents crashing
drivers to crash Libreoffice.
We read the information from the pipe as soon as we create the first
vcl
Window. In that place we then decide if the device/driver combination
is
blacklisted.

I can not reproduce the faulty behavior as described in 122243 "After opening a

Also, you cannot swith user interface - from notebookbar to something else."

Is anybody able to reproduce this problem with current version of LO and macOS?

It might be possible to solve a sub-task first: Implement the use of custom

(In reply to Dieter Praas from comment #2)
> Jens, please adjust the indent of the footnote style.

Dieter, thanks for the hint. I checked possible settings in LO which could
resolve the behaviour described in this bug issue, but I forgot to check the LO
help system, I am sorry.

The footnote style settings on the "Indents & Spacing" tab have the following
pre-defined values:

"Indent - Before text" is set to 0,60 cm by default
"Indent - First line" is set to -0,60 cm by default.

I resolved the behaviour described in this bug issue by setting these
parameters to 1,00 cm ("Indent - Before text") and -1,00 cm ("Indent - First
line"). Now everything looks fine with regards to footnotes with numbers from 1
to 99 and > 99. The footnotes will look fine until I create footnotes with
numbers > 999, but this is very unlikely.

I am suggesting to set these two values to 1,00 cm / -1,00 cm as the default
values.

can amend entire file to make it depersonalized.. I have to change all file
then. Just take any file with more than 100 rows and try to reproduce, it's
quite easy and obvious.

Thank you

sometimes i have to repeat:

- close writer document
