[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90401] Allow resetting or removing personal information (author, date/time) on comments and changes

Some ideas:
a) include comment metadata at Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Security (which
deletes all info)
b) Files > Properties > Apply user data (sounds weird)
c) dedicated function, for example, Edit > Comment > Delete User Data on
Comments

Recommendation is to do a) with code and provide c) per extension.

Let's add a checkbox "[ ] Don't show again" to the dialog and have a checkbox
"[x] Show summary of replaced cells" under Tools > Options > Calc > General >
Input Settings.

Nice easyhack.

Seems we agree on the required change. Cycle case should work on the selection
and if there is none on the full sentence (as today). The consideration of
automatically selection or doing nothing was misleading and might confuse
users.

Two different was would also exist when the buttons Go to, Rename, and Delete

The OS default for images on my openSUSE Leap 15 is to Gwenview, which is fine
for most casual purposes. But for significant work I use Gimp, and it would be
very helpful if there were a drop-down, similar to that provided by the OS
itself in its file manager, from which I could select the most suitable tool.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124537] Editing password-protected XLS created multiple empty files in backup directory

2019-04-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124537

The problem seems to be in ZipPackage::setPropertyValue, where it expects
"PackageSHA256UTF8EncryptionKey" or "PackageSHA1UTF8EncryptionKey", but
actually gets "OOXPassword" (for XLSX) or "STD97EncryptionKey"/"STD97UniqueID"
pair (for XLS).

The debug output lists these lines for each attempt:

> warn:sfx.doc:16096:17588:sfx2/source/doc/docfile.cxx:881: It must be possible
> to set a common password for the storage
> warn:sfx.doc:16096:17588:sfx2/source/doc/objstor.cxx:1378: Setting of common
> encryption key failed!

2019-04-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124537

Bug ID: 124537
Summary: Editing XLS created multiple empty files in backup
directory
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

0. Set auto-save frequency to 1 minute (for faster reproduction);
1. Open user profile's backup directory (e.g., on Windows it's
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\backup) in a file
manager to see its changing content;
2. Create a new spreadsheet; save it as XLS (97-2003) with a password (e.g., as
"pwd_backup_proliferation.xls");
3. Make an edit to mark it modified;
4. Wait 1 minute and let auto-save to trigger.

In the backup directory, empty (0-byte) files start to appear ~every 5-10 s,
named like this: pwd_backup_proliferation.xls_0.ods;
pwd_backup_proliferation.xls_1.ods, ... etc. Closing the file does not remove
the generated files.

The impact is not only proliferation of empty files in the directory, but also
backup save not working for password-protected XLS files.

Reproducible with Version: 4.3.0.4
Build ID: 62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0
(there files were named slightly differently:
pwd_backup_proliferation.xls_0ods)

and with Version: 6.2.3.1 (x64)
Build ID: 9ba025bafb03b962c34687cf87806cc03a3a7436
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

In Version: 4.2.0.4
Build ID: 05dceb5d363845f2cf968344d7adab8dcfb2ba71
it works OK: it creates a single file ~10 KB. Closing the file removes the
backup.

It seems, that 'AnchorPosition' is measured from the edge of the content area
of the window? If that is indeed so and intended, it should be documented in

Created attachment 150516
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=150516=edit
Example file with macro to examine the shape properties

If you inspect a shape via macro, you will find the property "AnchorPosition".
I see these problems:

1) If you change the zoom, you get different values for the X coordinate but
not for the Y coordinate.

2) 'AnchorPosition' exists in the API only for legend, but not for shapes.

3) The values in AnchorPosition make no sense.

Expected behavior:

The values in AnchorPosition are in unit 1/100 mm, same as all other values.

The values in AnchorPosition are independent from zoom.

'AnchorPosition' + 'Position' = 'Left or 'Top' respectively, so that 'Left' and
'Top' describe the distance from the page edge.

Type 'Anchor to page' results in 'AnchorPosition' (0|0).

The attached file contains the macro FrameRectWriter, which works on a selected
shape. You can use it to examine the current behavior.

made *some* change to system clipboard communications on Windows - effective in
version 6.2+. It would be interesting to see if that made some difference on
this issue (although it might not, and it wasn't explicitly aimed at this) -
again, if at all, it might only have effect on Windows.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124532] New: Paste (Ctrl-V) from non-LibreOffice apps does not work

2019-04-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124532

Bug ID: 124532
Summary: Paste (Ctrl-V) from non-LibreOffice apps does not work
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: duktur...@frontier.com

Description:
When attempting a Copy-Paste from any non-LibreOffice app, the pasted text is
whatever I had last copied from within LibreOffice... the 'clipboard' doesn't
seem to get updated. Yet, if I 'paste' into some other app (Notepad, Wordpad,
email client) the correct text is pasted.

I cannot resolve this problem unless I close *all* portions of LibreOffice and
restart it. After restarting, it will work correctly for an undefined period
of time -- hours...days...weeks(?), but returns for no apparent reason.

This began several versions ago, but I had always hoped it would be fixed with
the next upgrade. Latest upgrade is no different in this regard.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Cannot 'provoke' this error... but once it begins, the only solution is to
close all elements (I usually have 2 spreadsheets and 2 word-processing windows
opened), and then restart LibreOffice.

Actual Results:
Text that had been last 'copied' from a LibreOffice component is 'pasted'
instead of the text newly 'copied' from email (Thunderbird) or web browser
(Chrome). Newly copied text will paste correctly into non-LibreOffice apps.

Expected Results:
Newly copied text should've been pasted into Write or Calc.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]
Locale: en-US
Module: TextDocument
[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Windows (All)
OS is 64bit: yes

I do not suspect UserProfile because the problem is gone after a 'normal'
restart.

Issue of target of the formatting...

You are selecting the Frame for the object (image and its Figure mode caption),
not just the image. The image has to be isolated for its filter controls
(differ depending on image type) to activate.

Click outside the Frame (not directly into the object), then reselect just the
image.

With just the image selected the appropriate image controls are enabled.
Reasonable UX and behavior.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61618] : Word file import field conversion

2019-04-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61618

Actually there are two separate problems here. One issue is that the EQ fields
have no corresponding functionality in LO (except specific usages for
Ruby/Combined characters). Another issue is that the information in unsupported
field is lost while roundtripping the formats.

The behaviour I am actually observing is:

1) When a EQ field can be parsed as a Combined Characters field or as Ruby
styles applied to its content, it is carefully imported as such.
2) When a EQ field contains \o and optionally \ad switch (only) but cannot be
parsed as a proper Combined Characters field, it is replaced by an Input field
and the arguments are kept within that input field, formatting is lost.
3) When a EQ field contains \o and another backslash-escaped switch (\s \al \ac
\ar) it is lost on import.

I think, a proper solution (before LO includes any functional replacement for
EQ \o) could be:

1) Store EQ fields which cannot be parsed properly, in the same format as field
types which are not handled at all: between fieldmarks of type ODF_UNHANDLED.
This way they can be seen in the UI, can be processed programmatically and can
survive saving back to Word formats. This part requires a patch I am going to
post soon.

2) When these EQs stop being lost, one only has to install TexMaths extension
and write a small macro converting \o() structures to LaTeX invocations using
nested \makebox to achieve overlapping.

OK then, guess we are doing the correct thing then and this would be
enhancement to handle stream of multiple gzip'd documents. Onus would be on
the user to ensure the format is correct--header on first, and subsequent only
the data still in matching layout.

Please post a couple of sample concatenated gzip .csv streams.

But, kind of a specialized workflow, so not sure it belongs as a core feature
of the Calc import dialog.

You need a PostgreSQL-database for testing.

Open a PostgreSQL-database with the native connector of LO.
Have a look at pane "Tables". No possibility to create a view through GUI in
the pane "Tables".
Have a look at pane "Queries". No possibility to create a view from an existing
query, when clicking with right mousebutton on a query and searching through
the content-menue.

Only possibility to create a view is through Tools > SQL.

No problem to create a view through GUI with PostgreSQL and JDBC-driver.

You will need a PostgreSQL-database for testing this:

1. Create a table in PostgreSQL:
CREATE TABLE "public"."PG_LOconn" (
   "ID" serial NOT NULL,
   "PathName" text NULL,
   "PicName" text NULL,
   CONSTRAINT "PG_LOconn_pkey" PRIMARY KEY ("ID")
);
2. Create a form for input data into this table. "PathName" should save the
path to the image - so an image-control is needed. "PicName" should save only
the name of the image.
3. Insert one row in this table through the form.
4. Create a query like
SELECT "ID", "PathName", "PicName", CONCAT( '/home/yourname/', "PicName" ) AS
"PicPathName" FROM "public"."PG_LOconn"
The first part of the CONCAT-Function should be the same as in "PathName", so
could also be a relative link.
5. Open the form for editing, link the form to the query and create a new
image-control for "PicPathName".
6. Open the form for input data.
Bug: The image of the "PicPathName" won't be shown in PostgreSQL with the
native driver.
Now change the connection to PostgreSQL to JDBC. The image will be shown in
"PicPathName".

I already do get such a warning when I start from command line, e.g.

As far as I know, they're in some libobasis-gnome-integration package,
so you have to install that one (and it seems you did so in the meantime).

This bug still exists. It prevents using the default Data | Form... for larger
data columns, which means it's useless for more productive work.

A simple solution would be to add a second scroll bar in a different area.
A _real_ solution would allow the user to access to the default form's layout.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124528] New: On export port number of hyperlink is cut off

2019-04-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124528

Bug ID: 124528
Summary: On export port number of hyperlink is cut off
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cym15...@cndps.com

Description:
The port number (e.g. https://www.google.de:80. Then :80 is the remote port
number) for web hyperlinks gets lost on export. It is correct on data entry as
well as on mouseover on the edit screen. As far as I could check it's
independent of the export format (.htm, .pdf).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert web hyperlink as text
2. In the hyperlink use a port number extending the URL by :80
3. Export as htm or pdf

Actual Results:
URL is cut off before the :80

Expected Results:
URL is complete including separator and port number

Reproducible: Always

OS: All

All is in the title

in the numeric part of the french keyboard the dot is functioning, not with the
combination maj + ";" chich is the only one directly accessible on notebooks.

This appeared with Mozilla Firefox 66 (previously it worked) and does not
appear on Chromium.

When turning on the debug on the server we see that no keystrock is
