Dear Philippe Hemmel,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Confirmed, and bibisected to the same commit as bug 124709 (the cause of the
problem is likely somewhere else). Only occurs with OpenGL enabled. Also seems
similar to bug 99685 (but I couldn't repro that in Windows).

Actually, needs to check with oldest commit in bibisect-43all, if already
buggy, and need to add preBibisect keyword if it is.

Description:
Using LO with english UI and german locale settings (measurement units etc.),
native dialogs are displayed correctly in english. Operating system dialogs,
e.g. Open File, are displayed in german.

Steps to Reproduce:
(1) Open Preferences / Language Settings / Languages

(2) Select "Default - English (USA)" for User Interface

(3) Select "German (Germany)" or something else different from "English (USA)"
as Locale Setting.

(4) Open Startcenter

(5) Open File

Actual Results:
Dialog is displayed in german.

Expected Results:
Dialog is displayed in english.

Additional Info:
Issue exists on macOS at least. LO is build with german as additional language
although not selected for UI. Issue exists with "English (USA)" as locale
setting too. So it probably depends on building LO with german as additional
language.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45864] UI: Add "Glue Point deletion" tool

2019-05-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45864

--- Comment #15 from div...@gt500kr.fastmail.fm ---
I'm on 6.2.4.2 .
A Glue point deletion tool would be a welcome addition.
To me there are currently two cases where this is needed:

1- if one places a Glue Point on a shape exactly on top of a corner or center
point of one of the sides of a rectangle for example, there is no way to select
the Glue point after, to move it or to delete it. The shape basic corner or
center point will always be selected.
The Selecting Underlying Objects method doesn't work (Alt+click or
Alt+Shift+click) either in that case.
The only way is to delete the whole shape and redo it.

2- once there is a connector attached to a glue point, you have to detach the
connector before the glue point can be selected.

It seems to be a certain combination or order of user settings, which produces
the problem. But I could not yet identify, which settings make trouble, and
cannot reliable reproduce it.
I have started without profile after unpacking program itself and English and
German language pack. My usual settings are: Enter user name and email, set
macro security to Medium, set UI to English(USA), local to Germany and default
document language to English. In Advanced: select JRE, enable macro recording.
In Expert Configuration: set PrettyPrinting to True, enter a new string in
ooname to make this version distinguish in the UI from other versions.

So I will set it to WorksforMe for now.

The font color change button does not change font color on screen. No effect if
you change font color, you can not see color change on screen. But if you dive
into Format-character-font effect tab, you can see the color changed on the

Impression also had a minor issue about font color. When I change font color,
the effect also did not take change immediately, the font color would only
change if I click on another part of the slide.

font color change, every time.

Expected Results:
I expect to see color change on screen right after I use the font color change
button.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
This font color change problem does not exist in safe-mode. But even I set all
options to default, either using OpenGL or not, the problem persisted when back
to normal mode.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125504] New: Notebookbar style input is not working properly after a print preview

2019-05-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125504

Bug ID: 125504
Summary: Notebookbar style input is not working properly after
a print preview
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: maxsi...@gmail.com

Description:
Since LibreOffice 6.2, I use Notebookbar interface. It is a great addition,
really user-friendly.

Yet, I have found a bug in Writer. It is about using style selection with
Notebookbar and not the sidebar, after opening and closing print preview.
Only Title 1, Title 2… icons works properly, not the paragraph style input.

To fix this issue, I need to restart LibreOffice Writer (or not to use print
preview). It is a little embarasing, even if F11 shortkey is an easy
workaround.

As far as I have searched, noone reported it. So, I hope I am understandable.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Writer file with the Notebookbar set as active;
2. Click on “Print Preview”;
3. Close the preview;
4. Change paragraph style with the style input in Home tab.

Actual Results:
Style of the selected paragraph remains unchanged.

Expected Results:
Style of the selected paragraph should have changed, as intended.

Reproducible: Always

I cannot reproduce with my Windows 10, and I don't have a macOS.

For who can build a macOS applications who wants to offer assistance,
I leave some questions.

Q1. Does the program reach line 84 when this issue occurs ?
Q2. Let me know what the value of pStr is.
Q3. Let me know What the value of rPattern.maSearchName is?

helpful documents if you have never built LibreOffice:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/BuildingOnMac
---
on Windows, when I build LibreOffice,
I often pass enable-sal-log and enable-dbgutil(may be unnecessary?) so that I
can use SAL_INFO when is included.

https://api.libreoffice.org/docs/cpp/ref/a4.html

at least I can use the macro in the following way, for example. at least we can
pass OUString as the second parameter.

SAL_INFO("vcl", OUString::number(3));

be careful not to write

SAL_INFO("vcl", 1 + 2);

but please write this way.

SAL_INFO("vcl", (1 + 2));

I don't know if SAL_INFO's second paramter accepts CFStringRef, but if it
doesn't I believe including
will let you use OUString GetOUString(CFStringRef)

It appears to be depending on the replacement table which gets loaded first.
I'm able to reproduce after small modification:

1. Set the Locale setting (Options -> Language settings -> Locale settings) to
Italian
2. Restart LibreOffice
3. Open the AutoCorrect options dialog -> Result as Tommy27 described.

[BTW, they delay before the dialog appears is also slightly annoying. Ideally
they dialog shouldn't wait until the replacement table is fully loaded.. IMHO

Noe, I used the replacement table of bug 109158 (attachment 134684) not sure if
it matters..

Open a new Writer document.
Open Edit > Exchange Database.
Choose "Browse" in the dialogue.
Choose any file, for example a Calc-file.
You could choose also a table and set "Define" or try without.

You will never be asked for a name for the created database-file.
You will never be asked for a path to save this file.
If you don't try to choose a *.odb-file it will create a new *.odb-file in the
main documents folder defined in Tools > Options ...

Could confirm the buggy behaviour.

If I try
Edit > Exchange Database
there will be created a *.odb-file in path of "My Documents". This *.odb-file
will be registered as database during this session, but won't be saved.

All tested with LO 6.2.4.2 on OpenSUSE 64bit rpm Linux.

Note: There are more buggy behaviours of this wizard. I will try to report them
in different bugreports.
