[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65331] Changing default animation direction in Impress

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65331

Not sure if this enhancement is still active/scheduled however, in association
my requests are that it would be good if a user is able to:

1) Set the default animation to be used. Currently the default is Appear, On
click, Delay 0.0sec. I would like to be able to set it to Fade In, On Click,
Delay 0.5 sec. (Or any other setting depending on the most frequently used for
the specific presentation.)

2) Able to apply default animation to numerous items (not grouped) with the
same animation settings. For example, a list of text items inside a text box
on a slide is highlighted by activating the text box border and adding to
animation. The default animation applied to the group is Appear, On click,
0.0sec. You are unable to change the group setting and must drop the list in
the animation sidebar settings and change each individual item, negates the
group animation function.

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

I don't think we'll ever support eps reading, it's just a horrible format and a
reason that pdf exists. PostScript is actually a language, which means we would
need a language parser and interpreter just to read and draw the damn thing. To
make it editable is pretty much out of the question.

Created attachment 152320

shortened valgrind log of the crash

So I can also reproduce the crash in my Ubuntu Bionic chroot with qt
5.9.5+dfsg-0ubuntu2.1. As you can see in the valgrind log Qt deletes the
Qt5Object, but still delivers events to the Qt5ObjectWindow, as this is
actually a child of the Qt5Frame.

So we have to acknowledge deleted Qt5Objects, while the Qt5Frame is still alive
keeping the Qt5ObjectWindow around. Interesting that this doesn't crash with
newer Qt versions...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123774] FILESAVE Percentage format in ODS pie chart not saved in XLSX format

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123774

The problem here is that the data series has NumberFormat property, so the
following lines will always pick that up:
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/export/chartexport.cxx?r=1b26a6e7#3008
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/export/chartexport.cxx?r=1b26a6e7#3086

Perhaps it would be better to check the state of the actual 'Show value as
percentge' checkbox, and take the respective number format based on that...
just an idea.

Will that replace the stable version or does it install alongside the stable
one?

Anyway, I came to believe this is the real issue underlying the problem:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-screenshot/issues/41.

That's not to say LO is doing a good scaling job here, but it's a 2x reduction
so I can't really blame it. Google docs is doing a better job but on mobile the
images still look like cr*p.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126029] New: FORMATTING: Table colour background corrupted on table properties dialogue opening.

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126029

Bug ID: 126029
Summary: FORMATTING: Table colour background corrupted on table
properties dialogue opening.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.6.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: st...@edmondsfamily.co.nz

Description:
Table background colours that have been formatted are cleared or overridden
when subsequent table formatting is applied and the background tab has been
clicked but not edited.

After some testing this is dependant on the state the dialogue is in when OK is
pressed to apply the background colour and close the dialogue.

The dialogue opens with the same tab active as when the OK was pressed. If the
background tab was active (formatting the background) then next time the table
properties dialogue opens, regardless of the cells selected, what ever shows by
default in the background dialogue will be applied to all the selected cells.

The same occurs if you open the table properties dialogue with another tab
active and click the background tab. Without making any changes what shows will
then overwrite what exists. Current settings are not retained until a change is
made, like in the borders tab.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a 3x3 table in writer
2.Apply a background colour to the top middle cell and exit the dialogue with
OK.
3.Select all cells and open the table properties dialogue.
4.Change the table border formatting and save.

Actual Results:
The background colour of the previously formatted cell is removed.

Expected Results:
The background formatting should remain.
Background formatting should not be applied unless a change has been made in
the background settings (as occurs with the boarders dialogue)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Also dependent on what cells have background colour formatted, the result is
different if the complete top row was formatted with a background colour.

Work around:
1.Change to the table properties tab before clicking OK.
2.Do not touch the background tab unless you wish to make a change to all the
selected cells as what ever happens to show in the dialogue by default will
then be applied to the selected cells.

In PowerPoint, the Morph transition allows you to animate smooth movement from

Google translate (I don't know if it's accurate or not).
Description:
if I nest some comparative function like "Y" or the function "O" or "XOR" as a
logical condition in the "if" function, and if I open a parenthesis in the
value "if true", it re-enters the comparison function , the formula works, but
it is visualized as if it were inside the comparative function, I tried with
the functions "Y" "O" "XOR", I have not tried with other functions but I assume
they have the same problem

Steps to reproduce:
1.write for example this function = yes (y (a1> 0, b1> 0), (10 * 20), "")
2. When clicking within (10 * 20) what should be the "if true" zone in the
structure of the formula appears as if it were inside the "Y" function
3. The operation is fine of the formula, but the help or the structure that
appears as a help is as if it were inside the "Y" function

Actual Results:
the operation is fine of the formula, but the help or structure appears as if
it were inside the "Y" function

Expected Results:
If I use parentheses in "value if true" despite using parentheses it should be
kept in that part of the structure of the "yes" function, the "Y" function
should not appear again because it is already closed

5.2.7 is EOL, could you give a try to a recent LO version (6.2.4)?

Unless you want user to manage dependencies himself.

Scale all brackets option should be move to Math Options dialog, I think

In this case we can get all main formula format options together with Symbols

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126026] New: wrong window icon for an LO calc file started from file manager

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126026

Bug ID: 126026
Summary: wrong window icon for an LO calc file started from
file manager
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.6.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: logisti...@yahoo.com

Description:
When opening a LO calc file by double clicking on it in a nautilus windows (a
Linux file manager), the new task bar entry sometimes appears with a wrong icon
(wrong file type). LO uses the icon of the LO file type that is already open
instead of the file type that is to be opened.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open LO writer with an odt file
2.start nautilus file manager
3.double click on an ods file in nautilus to open it

Actual Results:
LO calc starts a new windows with the selected calc file. However, the task
list icon for the new window shows a writer icon.

Expected Results:
opening a window for a new calc file should always use a calc icon in the task
bar.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
* the system here is Debian 10 "buster" running Cinnamon Desktop Environment.
* the bug is reproducible with different file managers (nautilus, nemo, thunar,
gnome commander)
* strangely, the bug does NOT always occur, but in about 50% of the cases when
opening a file. Even opening the SAME file yields a 50% bug occurence!
Unfortunately I could not find a pattern, when or why the bug occurs. Seems
completely random to me.
* it seem to me that LO always opens a new windows with the previous file type
icon first, then changes the icon after ca .25 seconds. Sometimes the icon
change does not happen.

Version: 6.1.5.2
Build-ID: 1:6.1.5-3
CPU-Threads: 2; BS: Linux 4.19; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: gtk3;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.utf8); Calc: group threaded

The dialog is already quite complex. Adding a table instead of the single area
right in the middle of the dialog draws attention and focus on something that
usually contains only one to a few entries. As for a new pivot table it's
starting with empty table there doesn't make things better.

> > also because it would leave the impression the two columns of one row

> How would you get to such an interpretation for the usage of rows?
Because a table separates items into columns.

>
> Would you like to offer switchable data views?
What? No, I was talking of implementation. Someone would have to do that, it
doesn't just arrive out of thin air.

Writer document showing the bug

Look at line 4. I have just inserted a line above it. Before insertion, line 4
used Liberation Serif 10. Now it is Liberation Serif 12. Also, columns 2-5 used
to be center-justified just like the rest of the table. Now they are
right-justified.

None of those changes should have happened.

This has been happening for a long time, i.e. not just on Version 6.2.4.2. I am
flummoxed about you not being able to reproduce it. There is nothing special
about my LibreOffice installation. As I said before, it happens on two separate
computers, both running the same version of Windows 10 (latest update).

If even after seeing this example you are unable to confirm the bug, then
please terminate this bug report. I will just live with the problem.

Alternatively, as the reporter seems to be using the Ubuntu-provided package of
LO (judging by the Build ID), if upgrading is not a desired option, seeking
help from Ubuntu developers and package maintainers should be the first step.

I doubt that anyone thinks this is not a bug. Rather, it's simply that nobody

challenging. Scrolling-related issues are often difficult to address.

Not a bug. A double click on the auto fill handle should never overwrite

1) Open a new Impress document

4) Use the clone formatting and apply it to the second text field
