[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126074] New: Icon styles should not modify official application icons in start center (and other relevant places)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126074 Bug ID: 126074 Summary: Icon styles should not modify official application icons in start center (and other relevant places) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: diazbast...@protonmail.com Description: Styles of icons are cool and help to give a fresh air to the LibreOffice interface, however, I believe that these should not modify the application icons, since these are part of the brand and image of the project. On the other hand, there are styles of icons that modify the application icons a lot (eg Karasa Jaga). At least in the start center, the official icons should always be shown, except in situations that require accessibility (high contrast). Another important point is when you use a custom icon theme in the operating system, many icon packs do not respect Brands and that leads to having a custom LibreOffice apps icon in the system and a different one for LO icon styles, which in turn can be different from the official ones. This may vary between operating systems, but the idea is that the LibreOffice brand is the same in all of them. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50816 --- Comment #12 from QA Administrators --- Dear robert, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126072] New: MacOS Language Pack DMG sometimes displays with inappropriate window backgroud image
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126072 Bug ID: 126072 Summary: MacOS Language Pack DMG sometimes displays with inappropriate window backgroud image Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.0.beta2+ Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Localization Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: notinterest...@gmx.com Description: MacOS langauge pack DMGs for LO 6.3.0.0beta2 open with wrong window background, but only if MacOS LO 6.3.0.0beta2 application installer DMG is mounted. If 6.3.0.0beta2 application installer DMG is not mounted, language pack installer correctly displays with plain background. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download MacOS LO 6.3.0.0beta2 application installer here: https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/mac/x86_64/LibreOfficeDev_6.3.0.0.beta2_MacOS_x86-64.dmg 2. Download a language pack for LO 6.3.0.0 beta2 from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/mac/x86_64/?C=N=A 3. Double-click on the LO 6.3.0.0beta2 installer DMG to mount it. 4. Double-click on the LO 6.3.0.0beta2 language pack. Actual Results: For at least these three language packs: LibreOfficeDev_6.3.0.0.beta2_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_de.dmg LibreOfficeDev_6.3.0.0.beta2_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_en-ZA.dmg LibreOfficeDev_6.3.0.0.beta2_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_en-GB.dmg ... the resulting window has a background with a borad green arrow on it. This looks to be the background image for the main Mac LO installer, where the application should be dragged to the Applications folder. However, the Language Pack should instead be installed by double-clicking on the "Language Pack" file (which is present, and can be double-clicked - hence this is a minor bug with an easy work-around). Expected Results: Window should have plain white background. This is what happens if the language pack DMG is double-clicked when the main installer DMG is not mounted. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126068] Spaces invisible when entered at the end of a line
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126068 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #3) > Wonder what happens with a text run of ? So checked, and a run of are entered one at a time and will be wrapped onto vcl canvas. So just the with attribute for a text run of spaces is not wrapped--but also it is not visualized to canvas, and we can not advance text cursor into the margin. Checked and LO wrap behavior matches the MS Word 2016 wrap behavior--that is the wrap will not occur until some non-space text is added, and that text then becomes the start of the next line. Spaces show into the margins, and then after the text causing the wrap. So our behavior is the same as MS Word, but we don't visualize the additional spaces outside the margins and we can not manipulate the text cursor which holds stuck against the right margin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126068 --- Comment #4 from Regina Henschel --- I'm not sure about wrapping of spaces. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125993 --- Comment #2 from Heiko Tietze --- Created attachment 152371 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=152371=edit Mockup for the modification We have "Before" and "After" allowing to enter static text. The customization could provide means to modify the delimiter "Between" similarly, defaulting to the dot. In case of levels >2 it makes sense to only change the last delimiter, e.g. A-1+I defines the - at level 2 and the I at level 3 (but not A-1 vs A+1+I). Provided ODF allows this flexibility. All these changes needs to fit into the new dialog, adding some developers. The mockup does not work on all aspects; in particular the mix between characters and numbers is not possible with this kind of top bar selection. So please just consider the Before/After > Delimiter part. (For consistency it needs a dot at After to have 1., 2. etc. - we provide this customization today only per selection from the predefined types). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126068] Spaces invisible when entered at the end of a line
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126068 --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #2) > I think it is a deficit in the UI, that spaces in the margin are not shown. > Word shows all spaces, SoftMaker shows one space in the margin. So which is wrong, that there is no string wrap to the following line with a text run of spaces reaching the margin--allowing spaces to enter the margin, or that spaces extend beyond the margin and are not show--where all other mixed text spans will wrap. Wonder what happens with a text run of ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126050] TABLE AUTOFORMAT: Rename dialog to table styles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126050 --- Comment #2 from Heiko Tietze --- Autoformat is remnant from the TS implementation where the edit dialog was not completed during the GSoC project. It's requested in bug 105933 and when done we should remove this legacy dialog. Whether we close this dialog or rename the command meanwhile is another question.
