https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118444 --- Comment #2 from QA Administrators --- Dear Harald Koester, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. It seemed that in all 6.1.x and 6.2.x versions the bug does not occur any longer: With Extended Tips enabled the URLs are now displayed, if you move the mouse pointer above the icon of a former used document. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126154 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #4). @Regina a bit hackish, but you are right we can use Find & Replace to find all Spaces--then from the Character dialog scale the selection--just the spaces. But looking at Flat ODT result, see a T1 defined with a scale of 300%, and then every word in the paragraph is broken by a text span holding the space with its scaling. Also, interesting in that when showing NPC the blue dot for the spaces are also scaled/stretched, weird. Just not sure that would be functional for folks in general. Every space baloons into a 46 character , and breaks up the paragraph. The difference is, the Command-Button-Model and the Command-Button itself, have the Backgroundcolor Property, you can see the BG-Color only in the Dialog-Designer, in that Moment the Command-Button is drawn and the Property is set by the Property-Sidebar. But if you run the Code or the Dialog-Preview, the BG-Color of the Command-Button disappears. Maybe you can see a very thin colored border. It seems, like the color is being overlaid by a label (the Textlabel). b) It isn‘t possibel to draw a Tabpage-Control in the Basic-Ide. There is no Symbol to click and draw it in the Dialog-Designer. In my tests I couldn't reproduce this behavior, when the cell or comment content to overwrite at paste is selected by keyboard. Reproduce the problem: - open the attached document "Test_Copy+Paste.ods" - right click into cell C1 and choose "Edit Comment" - select all comment text (or only a part) by mouse, then right click into the selected text and choose "Copy" (or copy the text by Ctrl+C) - click anywhere that comment box closes - check clipboard content: right click into any empty cell and choose "Paste": The text "Kommentar zu Zelle C1" (or the selected part) is pasted -> OK - right click into cell C2 and choose "Edit Comment" - select all comment text (or a part) by mouse, then right click into the selected text and choose "Paste" (or paste the text by Ctrl+V) Result: - The comment text remains unchanged. - Instead now the selected text from comment is copied to clipboard: Right click into any empty cell and choose "Paste" -> the selected text from comment to C2 (all or the part) is inserted. And spent many years in the "System Software" department answering other people's questions about how to do things, and diagnosing their problems, and providing solutions they hadn't thought of. Then more years as an integrator of other people's software, diagnosing and fixing compatibility problems and new technology glitches in existing software, as well as working with the end-users to explain what was happening and how to use the software. I've been working with conditional formatting since Excel 97. It's very common to want to change the order of outer conditions. Without this functionality, making changes is painfully slow and error prone. In Excel it's a simple clicking “move up” or “move down”. In Calc, you have to first delete the top condition, then add it again below. This is a very common scenario for anyone working with conditional formatting. For example you might have data that you want organized one way for local markets then you'd want to present it a different way for international markets. I've seen this many times. To see an example of how problematic our current UI is, take the attached file now try to make the 2nd rule evaluate first. In Excel, it's as simple as Conditional Formatting -> Rule 2 -> Move up(twice) Now try this in Calc, while retaining both rules just like Excel. The lack of move up / move down commands makes our conditional formatting very cumbersome to work with. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Use of the NBS (U+00a0) depends on placement relative to punctuation. That is when prepended (i.e. following the comma) is included with a "double click" mouse selection. Likewise is included when the NBS is appended (i.e. preceding the closing parehnthesis ). And again included with the "double click" mouse selection, or the "Select Word" UNO action. So this handling of NBS is either hard coded in edit engine, or is an ICU lib function (have not checked src). Believe it is wrapped up in the way we handle selection at ICU 'word' bounds. And we have at least three UNO actions that can be used. 1. double mouse click 2. Select Word (assigned by OP, but action of double mouse click) 3. Select to Beginning of Word (assigned ++) 4. Select to Word Right (assigned ++) Anyhow the handling is consistent--the NBS is included with the correct word depending on leading or trailing punctuation. So Not A Bug? And, to select the literal of the middle word, rather than double click or the "Select Word" action--position cursor and select to begining of Word, or select to end of Word (labeled as Select to Word Right)--both of which have assigned keyboard shortcuts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104378] Chinese conversion problem
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104378 --- Comment #8 from Franklin Weng --- Took a look at this issue. 1. If we execute conversion for several times, each time it would convert one piece between different English characters. For example: 遠程MySQL連接遠程MySQL連接遠程MySQL連接 After first conversion: 远程MySQL連接遠程MySQL連接遠程MySQL連接 After second conversion: 远程MySQL连接远程MySQL連接遠程MySQL連接 and so on. 2. Since 6.3.0.0 the cursor will go to the end of that row after conversion. (I'll start another issue for this). 3. The current selection from pEditView (line 1522 at source/editeng/impedit4.cxx) always shows 0 for startPara, startPos, endPara and endPos. Not sure if the pEditView sending into the ImpEditEngine::Convert is correct or not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
