Checked with 6.1.5.2 and 6.2.5.2, with 'times new roman' proofdoc
(https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=113371).
Opened, reclicked all formulas, produced PDFs, looked at those at 1552% zoom in
qpdfview.

The issue isn't nowhere as drastic as 4 years ago, however, there still are
small-ish gaps and misaligns, which are definitely visible / noticeable even at
100% zoom.

Next, I'm attaching six jpegs of the proofdoc PDF conversion, as seen at 1552%
in two versions of LO, 6.1.5.2 and 6.2.5.2 (three examples per doc).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78074] Paste Special should have an option to paste raw formulas

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78074

To clarify the cut/paste workaround, the way to get a copy between documents
(or locations within a single document) while retaining the existing copy is
to:

1. Select the cells.
2. Cut.
3. Undo.
4. Move to new location.
5. Paste.

Unfortunately, this is a non-obvious hack (although one I have been using for
years), and still only works for a single paste. Subsequent pastes are treated
as copies, as noted in previous comments.

A real solution to this would be incredibly helpful for the use cases proposed
5 years ago, which I encounter regularly in my work.

It appears the application export function is more accurate than the command

In the case of the attachment in this bug, the application export is correct

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126716] New: Difference between Linux and Mac DOCX to HTML Conversion

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126716

Bug ID: 126716
Summary: Difference between Linux and Mac DOCX to HTML
Conversion
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: erik.c...@gmail.com

Description:
https://gofile.io/?c=jwgcwg

The attached file is converted to HTML appropriately on Mac OSX 6.2.5.1, but on
the same Linux distribution (6.2.5.1) the HTML is different and some extra
bullets are displayed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download .DOCX file from https://gofile.io/?c=jwgcwg
2. Convert the .DOCX file using Linux distribution of LibreOffice into HTML
3. Convert the .DOCX file using Mac distribution of LibreOffice into HTML

Actual Results:
Compare the two HTML files. The linux version has bullets in front of the text
(incorrect) and the Mac version does not (correct).

Expected Results:
Both resulting HTML files should NOT have any bullets in front of the text. It
should look just like when the .DOCX file is opened.

Reproducible: Always

Backtrace of the assertion error

Attached gdbtrace is created when moving paragraphs with change tracking
enabled an the Bullets and Numbering toolbar is used.

1, Create a simple text file with some paragraphs
2, Enable Change Tracking
3, Enable View - Toolbars - Bullets and Numbering
4, Select a paragraph in the editor an move it up/down using the Bullets and
Numbering toolbar buttons. This will create a deletion and insertion change.
5, Move the paragraph (which is now marked as inserted text) to the opposite
direction, i.e. back to its original place with the using the Bullets and
Numbering toolbar buttons.
6, Console shows this error message:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126713] New: EDITING Display of inserted rows: Row and cell format attributes are not respected

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 126713
Summary: EDITING Display of inserted rows: Row and cell format
attributes are not respected
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Calc

  Reporter: stefan_lange...@t-online.de

Created attachment 153147
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=153147=edit
Test document to show the problem

When in a sheet document with more than one sheets rows were inserted in the
second or later sheets (not the first sheet!) and filled via Paste the row and
cell format attributes are not respected, means e.g. "Wrap text automatically"
is not respected and as a consequential error row height is calculated not
correctly.
After the document was saved, closed and reopened, row and cells are displayed
correctly.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
- open the attached document "Test_Zeilenhöhe_bei_Einfuegen.ods"
- go to sheet "Tabelle1"
- insert a row above e.g. row 4
- select whole row 3 and copy it to the clipboard
- got to cell A4 (first cell in the inserted row) and paste the clipboard
content (Ctrl+V)
- Result: Content of the cells is inserted, but text in cells C4 and G4 isn't
wrapped, although cell format attributes say "Wrap text automatically", and the
row height is not changed.

- save the document, close and reopen it
- Result: Inserted row 4 is displayed correctly.

When the same is done on the first sheet the problem doesn't exist. To test one
can change the sequence of the sheets, means shift "Tabelle1" on the first
position, and then execute the steps described above.

The problem doesn't exist in LO 6.3.0 and LOdev 6.3.1.

As mentioned above, you shouldn't experience this issue if you're using the
so-called "kde5" ("kf5" from upcoming 6.4 release on) VCL plugin instead of the
"gtk3" one. I don't know whether Mageia ships this one, but if you're using the
TDF-provided packages, this is included in the kde integration package and will
be used by default if installed.

This is the same problem that I described over 5 years ago when I opened Bug
76017. Others have then dragged that bug report in various different
directions, and to this day the original bug still has not been fixed.

This problem does not appear to be tied to a specific platform or version.
I've observed it consistently in all my use of LibreOffice, across all versions
of LibreOffice dating at least as far back as 4.x til now (6.x), across
multiple laptops of various different manufacturers and models, and across
multiple OS versions of both Windows (7, 8, 10) and Linux (CentOS 6, 7).

I believe it was the color palette update. The auto-updater started and I told
it to install. So it was the one that was current on 8/2/19. Trying to update
now shows "up-to-date".

Is there a way to track update history? If so, please direct me to I can check

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126711] New: Adding Rows to Tables

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126711

Bug ID: 126711
   Summary: Adding Rows to Tables
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hlill...@juno.com

Description:
The instructions say that to add a row to a table, hit alt-insert, release and
hig an up arrow. I tried, it doesn't work. The old version had an easy way with
the icon of the table at the top.

Actual Results:
Go to Libreoffice and insert a table of any size. Try to insert a row by
following instructions, alt-insert, then up or down arrow. Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Should have added a row

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

I'm now on Version: 6.2.6.1
Build ID: 1:6.2.6~rc1-0ubuntu0.19.04.1~lo1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.0; UI render: default; VCL: x11;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded

The gtk2/3 problem remains as it was. The setpos statements do not work
properly. The dimensions are OK, but the positions are not.

I know this may seem trivial, and I do have a work around that makes the forms
ugly (by not using gtk2/3) but it's a niggling bug none the less.

@Khaled, thanks! My cgit-fu was weak... Anyhow, can you envision some means to
enable a mode to provide glyph/grapheme level identification when os/DE font
fallback occurs with mixed fonts? In bug 105318 I'd suggested using the Special
Character dialog to respond by displaying the font fallback used at cursor
position--rather than the system UI default--as a means of identifying
glyph/grapheme specific fallback. But not sure that is even possible.

if extension support would be available, CF arrow styles will go to an
extension.

All other arrows are inspired by LibO, Latex (Tikz), inkscape, ...

focus was on:
1. better overview (grouping)
2. use only arrows that works well within LibO (lines want change size, so area
filled arrows are better)
3. standards in other applications

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101646] UI option "Scaling" was removed

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101646

I recently updated from 6.1.4 to 6.3 rc2 (Debian XFCE). Now my formula bar
font appears to be ~12 point, considerably larger than the previous version.

And while I completely understand why the comments above are asking for a
larger font, I actually now want my old style back, as the new font and size
appears ugly on my screen. As far as I can tell, it is *not* pulling the
information from my system UI in any way, as it matches nothing else in my
system display nor in the Libreoffice interface.

Could we please just have the option to set the font & size of this bar? Even
if no other scaling is implemented (I understand the arguments against it
above), is there a technical reason that this cannot be user set in isolation?
Obviously it can be changed at some stage during software build, so where
exactly is it being set?

Doesn't work with LO 6.2.5.2, but works well with LO 6.3.0.3. Tested with
OpenSUSE 15 64bit rpm Linux.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126710] New: fileopen: Calc can not open xlsx, consuming tens gigs of RAM (memory leak)

2019-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126710

Bug ID: 126710
Summary: fileopen: Calc can not open xlsx, consuming tens gigs
of RAM (memory leak)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.5.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: haje...@gmail.com

Description:
When trying to open the xlsx file, LO hangs, consuming tens gigs of memory.

Windows 7 Prof, 16 GB RAM, LO 5x, LO 6.2.5.2.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to open attached file (I hope I will be aple to attach the file).

Actual Results:
Calc hangs and starts to consume tens gigs of RAM.

Expected Results:
Open the xlsx file (it is a very small file).

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Verze: 6.2.5.2 (x64)
ID sestavení: 1ec314fa52f458adc18c4f025c545a4e8b22c159
Vlákna CPU: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; Vykreslování UI: GL; VCL: win;
Národní prostředí: cs-CZ (cs_CZ); Jazyk UI: cs-CZ
Calc: threaded

I did not try to reset my profile, because the problem happens on any computer
with Libre Office, so I believe it is not profile related problem.
And I really do not know earliest affected LO version.

very easy to remove link

As you can see in the video is very easy to remove hyperlink: click on that
cell, and Clear direct formatting. And the link is gone. And the text remains
at it is.
