Ilya, thank you for your proposal. But I think I don't understand it. I can't
remember that I have seen captions with a couple of sentences in scientific
literaure. So perhaps I misunderstood something. Is it possible to add a short
example that makes your idea more clear?

Dear Jérôme Guelfucci,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

There is no +M -> "Menu" accelerator defined anywhere in LibreOffice.

However, on Windows builds for all MUFFIN modes, none of the Accelerators shown
as assigned to widgets of the Notebook Bar have any effect on Notebook Bar
elements--with or without the standard menu enabled.

Good suggestion!

Edit a date field; under 'Format', click 'Additional formats'; open the
'Language' menu, click the last item, Zulu (or Lithuanian, Ndebele, Swedish,
Tsonga, Tswana, Xhosa, …): format becomes -mm-dd. Save the file, reload it:
the format is still -mm-dd. Victory! But the procedure is bizarre and
tricky…

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127487] New: Incorrect return of data from MATCH function referencing a sheet in another document.

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127487

Bug ID: 127487
Summary: Incorrect return of data from MATCH function
referencing a sheet in another document.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.6.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: don.anderson@gmail.com

The the Calc document consists of one sheet which references and summarizes
sheets in 8 other documents.

This document/sheet works correctly in LibreOffice Calc 6.2.5.2. It does not
work in 6.2.7 or 6.3.1.

In cell $B$3, $C$3, ...$I$3 is 'file:///Users/donanderson/Desktop/New
Highs/Stock Market SSO-SDS 2006.ods'#$Control.$B$9 The file name changes for
each of the 8 files.

In 'file:///...$Control.$B$9 is =MATCH(99,$'Base Data'.$A$1:$'Base
Data'.$A$,1) Column $A consists of dates in date sequence. The purpose of
this function is to return the row number of the last entry in the 'Data Base'
sheet.

The first 4 'Data Base' sheets have columns A thru BT with various number of
rows(3334-4960) and return the correct value. The last 4 'Data Base' sheets
have columns A thru CI with various number of rows (3319-3334) and return a 0
value (Date 12/30/1899).

When using 6.2.7 or 6.3.1 pressing Fn9 Recalculate multiple times will get the
correct value for some of the files sometimes.

This occurs with and without multi-threaded calculation enabled and with and
without Iterations.

Example of formula editing box covering a cell involved in the formula

Hi.

When editing a formula that involves cells nearby the cell the formula is
located at, it is possible that the editing box covers some of those cells
involved in the formula making it kind of difficult to analyze that formula.

Of course in this case the formula is very simple and it is not hard at all to
follow it, but when formulas get more complex and several cells nearby result
covered during the editing process, it could become harder to analyze and
follow the whole thing..

As the same thing happens in Ms Office, it would be a remarkable improvement
for LibreOffice Calc to keep that from happening by allowing somehow the user
could move a floating editing box, such that it is possible to see the hidden
cells involved in the formula (See the attached image as a reference).

Thanks for your valuable support..

Regards.
Juan

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127484] New: use HTML caption tag to name externally linked tables from URL

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127484

Bug ID: 127484
Summary: use HTML caption tag to name externally linked tables
from URL
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: stephane.guil...@member.fsf.org

Description:
Currently, using a website URL in "Sheet > Link to External Data..." only shows
a list of generic identifiers of the type "HTML_1", which makes it difficult to
identify the right table when there are many available.

The HTML tag could help telling the tables apart.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Calc
2. Go to "Sheet > Link to External Data..."
3. Paste a URL in "URL of External Data Source", for example
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QS_World_University_Rankings
4. Press Enter on the keyboard
5. Use defaults in the "Import Options" dialog and click "OK".

Actual Results:
The "Available Tables/Ranges" show a list of tables named
"HTML_. (see attached screenshot)

Expected Results:
Naming the tables in the list with whatever is between the corresponding
 – if found when parsing – could help identify the right
one. For example, the tables could be named with the pattern:

HTML_ - ...

LibreOffice Version: 6.2.5.2 (x64)

Using
left lline stack {1 # 2 # 3} right rline
in a math formula in LibreOffice Writer the vertical lines shift right so the
left line interferes with the stack and the right vertical line interferes with
the next item.
This happens only on screen, printing to pdf or paper doesn't show any shift.
The double vertical lines show the same bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Einfügen -> Objekt -> Formel
2. left lline stack {1 # 2 # 3} right rline

Actual Results:
the left vertical line interferes with the stacked numbers, the right vertical
line shows is too far right
The problem shows only on screen, pdf and paperprint are correct

the stack of numbers should be horizontally centered

Start with a new presentation. Insert an image as link. Save the document. Then
break link (Edit menu -> Links to external files). Save it to a different name.
You can already see by the file size, that the image was not embedded. Opening

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127482] New: Draw should remember the last file format exported each time in a given session

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127482

Bug ID: 127482
Summary: Draw should remember the last file format exported
each time in a given session
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mwtjunkm...@gmail.com

Description:
Whenever I export a slide in Draw, the format defaults to GIF. I export
everything as PNG (several times in a session).

It's okay if it defaults to GIF the first time, but after that, rather than
having to re-select PNG each time, Draw should remember my choice during that
session.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw
2. Build content on a slide
3. Select that slide
4. Select File, Export...

Actual Results:
Only changes after manually selecting my choice each time

Expected Results:
Remembers my choice for the duration of that session

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

If it helps I don't think its specific to using the command line. I'm having
the same problem of random blank pages being added using the normal GUI

mostly happen when there are a lot of pages and images involved. This is
basically the same report I put in here:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 102927] Filtering with Autofilter freezes Calc

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon

ber...@mpiib-berlin.mpg.de changed:

 Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED

--- Comment #11 from ber...@mpiib-berlin.mpg.de ---
Reopened because bug 76481 (opening of autofilter UI freeze) seems to be
resolved.

Version: 6.2.6.2
Build ID: 1:6.2.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

i7-4712MQ CPU @ 2.30GHz

Opening the autofilter UI and entering a single character in the search box
freezes the UI for several minutes. Same for removing the character afterwards.

Time of freeze seems to depend on the length of the list of remaining entries
in the list (i.e. the entries in the listbox below), as entering more
characters reduces the waiting time.

Tested with attachment #2 and also with data set from bug 76481 (220k rows).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127481] New: EDITING: Crash in sdr::table::Cell::GetItemSet() (on double-click in table within duplicated slide)

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127481

Bug ID: 127481
Summary: EDITING: Crash in sdr::table::Cell::GetItemSet() (on
double-click in table within duplicated slide)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: stepas.toliau...@gmail.com

This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is
br-947d5fbe-199f-476e-a3b4-d87a9cb0ae34.
=
Impress consistently crashes upon trying to put cursor in a table that exists
in a recently duplicated slide.

Steps to quickly reproduce:
1. Open Impress application.
2. Cancel template dialog. [irrelevant]
3. Create new slide (via right-click) to get an area that allows table
creation.
4. Select Table from the menu at area centerpoint.
5. Set 1x1 cell counts, confirm. [unknown if size is relevant]
6. Duplicate slide with table (I do it via right-click menu).
7. Select table in new slide (by single-click), then double-click inside it.
Result: LO crashes.

Remarks:
* Double-clicking within tables in original slide or any existing slides works,
only the duplicated slide is affected.
* Crash occurs trying to edit table contents even after saving (Ctrl-S), BUT if
file is closed and reopened after saving, bug does not reproduce.
* All versions from 6.1.0 to 6.3.1 are affected.
* Two different computers (built ca. 2008 and 2012) are affected, albeit
running almost identical OS setup.
* Safe mode is affected as well.

with 6.3.1.2 the problem is partially solved, since one of the gradients used
and the slides with it get saved.
Now,
1) The master slide always changes to a different background gradient color #1,
the last gradient I changed a slide to. To be clear, I changed the master
background to the correct color #1 (green). Then I went through the file and
changed another slide to ITS correct background color #1 (y-green). The slides
based on master still appeared correct, but when I closed and re-opened the
file, the master slide background color #1 was y-green, and all slides based on
it were also y-green, including two that I had changed to their own colors.

2) another slide (#16 in the file I'm working with) changes to a different
background gradient color #1 (y-green, like slide #1) even though the gradient
was saved as color #1=e4ffe4 and color #2= a custom color that got lost.

(3) When I save custom gradients, they do not get saved in the
Slide/Properties/Background/Gradient menu, even if I delete some of the default
gradients. The defaults always show up and not any custom gradients. (I need
the custom gradients only for this document.)

When I changed the master slide and closed the odp file, and re-opened it, the
master slide was again the colors of last slide I changed, NOT what I had set
the master slide to. So I corrected the master slide, and then immediately
closed the file, and re-opened it, and all the slides based on master, except
for two, were now correct. I changed those two, and closed the file, and when I
re-opened everything is correct now--since the last file I changed was to the
colors I wanted for master.

It is possible for me to work with this system since I know that I have to
change a slide to the master colors last, but it would take a long time for
someone else to figure this out. Thanks, and I'm very happy to keep working
with you to help in any way I can!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119142] FILEOPEN DOCX: MS text boxes imported as frames when solo, and as LO text boxes when grouped

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119142

In summary:

DOCX (latest windows 365 build)

LO 3.3 opens the docx file and the boxes are empty and all over the place.
LO 6.5 opens the docx file and the formatting is not preserved in the grouped
boxes.

97-2003 DOC
LO 3.3 opens the doc file and formatting is preserved in the text boxes
LO 6.5 opens the doc file complaining there is a macro, and formatting is
preserved in the text boxes

I hope someone can make sense of all the confounding factors.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127478] New: Opening second Calc file while particular file is open always fails

2019-09-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127478

Bug ID: 127478
Summary: Opening second Calc file while particular file is open
always fails
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nadie.nada.nu...@mail.com

Description:
Whenever I open a particular Calc file created by an earlier version of
LibreOffice (the format is ODS but the icon is different), trying to open
another Calc file externally (i.e. by double-clicking it in Windows Explorer)
always fails until I close the original file. Only then the second file opens
but warns me to restore the recovery data for the previous file. (There is
nothing to recover; the previous file is fine.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an ODS file created with an earlier version of LibreOffice.
2. In Windows Explorer, double click on a different ODS file created with a
newer version.

Actual Results:
The second file doesn't open until I close the first file. Then it opens but
asks me to restore the recovery data for the previous file as if there had been
a failure on saving.

Expected Results:
I expected the second file to open in a new window normally, as it worked in
previous versions of the software.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
