I bought LibreOffice NBC-- it's a pay version which hacks the standard free

Dear Anxo,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

work with it for a while to stress test it in the real world. I will set the

Example xl/workbook.xml from .xlsx showing solver values

Microsoft Excel .xlsx files have this information saved, per worksheet. Even
without saving, we're stuck with the same solver info on every worksheet
instead of having each one remembered.

It would be great, at the very least, if Calc supported the .xlsx feature in
that file type, even if it can't be saved elsewhere. (I'm not familiar with
.odf, but I suspect the same feature can be used there as in .xlsx.)

When I unzip the .xlsx file, I see xl/workbook.xml which contains all of the
solver information for the tabs. Attaching example file.

Hi Michael,

I just tried the daily-build 6.4.0.0.alpha1+ for 27 October and it starts just
as it should. There is no hanging at the LibreOffice splash startup.

I just went back to the LibreOffice v.6.3.3.1 and you may see the crash report
here:
http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/ae75cbc3-314c-4397-97ca-b545237b02e0

If I start the same LibreOffice 6.3.3.1 with Xisco's suggestion of
'SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 soffice', then it starts up perfectly.

I tried all linux drivers possible for my GeForce GTX 1060 6GB card and they
all have issues with starting up LibreOffice with hanging at the splash
startup.

Perhaps it is a gtk issue?

Marc

The change resizes and repositions the Draw frame for the Text object
unexpectantly.

Looking at the ODP in MS Powerpoint 2016 there is more direct control over
behavior of the drawing frame relative to the text rotation and orientation.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128419] New: In Find and Replace, 'Replace backwards' gets toggled back off or back on by the buttons 'Find All', 'Find Previous', etc.

2019-10-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128419

Bug ID: 128419
Summary: In Find and Replace, 'Replace backwards' gets toggled
back off or back on by the buttons 'Find All', 'Find
Previous', etc.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alex@gmail.com

Description:
In the Find and Replace dialogue, the option 'Replace backwards' doesn't always
keep its status (on or off) as set by the user.
See examples below as steps to reproduce. It looks like an issue with the
setting of a global variable/flag...

Steps to Reproduce:
First example:
1. Open Find and replace (Ctrl + H)
2. Fill in the fields for Find:... and Replace:...
3. Check the option 'Replace backwards'
4. Click 'Find All' --> 'Replace backwards' gets unchecked
Second example:
1. Open Find and replace (Ctrl + H)
2. Fill in the fields for Find:... and Replace:...
3. Click 'Find Next'
4. Check the option 'Replace backwards'
5. Click 'Find Previous' --> 'Replace backwards' gets unchecked
Third example:

1. Open Find and replace (Ctrl + H)
2. Fill in the fields for Find:... and Replace:...
3. Check the option 'Replace backwards'
4. Click 'Replace'
5. Uncheck 'Replace backwards'
5. Click 'Find Previous' or 'Find Next' --> 'Replace backwards' gets checked
again

Actual Results:
'Replace backwards' gets checked or unchecked by other actions than the manual
toggling from the user.

Expected Results:
'Replace backwards' should stay checked/unchecked when not toggled directly by
the user.

Reproducible: Always

I have filed at least three crash reports over the last month, but don't know
how to find their locations. But here is some interesting information. I
assumed your 30,00 page count for the file is crazy, so went to check. I
imported the file into Word to see if would work properly. So far, its does.
The file size in LO (SR_P.odt) is 1.71 MB; the file in Word (SR_P_Word) is 1.97
MB. However, the number pages in the LO file is indeed over 30,000 (TEN TIMES
the page count of my other similar files of about that size, for example
SR_L.odt is 1.75 MB and 2480 pages), while the Word file is 2365 pages. I
assume that this extreme difference in page count (but not in file size) for
SR_L.odt might be significant?

The sm nodes for the initial matrix and underbrace are evaluated correctly,
following the '{} times {}' node, the same syntax for the second matrix and
underbarce is not--and the underbrace is applied to both sm matrix nodes.

Simple workaround of entering the the starmath formula with extra grouping of
additonal bracket pairs correctly formats the nodes.

{{ left [ matrix { a_11 # a_12 # a_13 # a_14 ## a_21 # a_22 # a_23 # a_24 ##
bold {a_31} # bold{a_32} # bold{a_33} # bold{a_34}## a_41 # a_42 # a_43 # a_44}
right ] } underbrace {A}} times {{ left [ matrix { b_11 # b_12 # b_13 #
bold{b_14} ## b_21 # b_22 # b_23 # bold{b_24} ## b_31 # b_32 # b_33 #
bold{b_43} ## b_41 # b_42 # b_43 # bold{b_44} } right ] } underbrace {B}}

Similar to bug 89865 should not need it but we do.

@Regina, does ODF and MathML require more rigorous handling?

LibreOffice already has the reasonably functional 'selection' checkbox on the
Export dialog from Draw. And used from a multi selection of Draw objects, it
will export to a rectangle holding all selected objects.

So the export feature is already in place.

Your described workflow, which would be useful, would be an action resize
document canvas to selected Draw objects--increasing or decreasing canvas page
size to hold the selection.

* click Wert_1 / AF ; click and look at the creteria:
   Wert_1 = 1
only the first creteria from AF is passed to SF

It should read:
   Wert_1 = 1

the second line is missing ;

* click Wert_2 / AF ; click and look at the creteria:
Wert_1 = 1
AND Wert_2 = b

only the first AF-creteria from each column is passed to SF
OR-Creteria and brackets!!! are not considered about.
So this should read without brackets

Wert_1 = 1
AND Wert_2 = b
OR Wert_1 = 1
AND Wert_2 = c
OR Wert_1 = 2
AND Wert_2 = b
OR Wert_1 = 2
AND Wert_2 = c

[maybe somebody can think about introducing brackets, then we would get:
(Wert_1 = 1 OR Wert_1 = 2) AND (Wert_2 = b OR Wert_2 = c) ]

add missing lines to SF ; click

Zeile Wert_1 Wert_2
2 1 b

Stephen, just put cursor in a cell and open context menu => Size => Row Height.
So this is at least a workaround.

cc: Design-Team for proposal of a Row-Tab in Table Properties

Personally I think users would expect a row tab if there is a column tab, but
it's not so important.

If you restart LO after a crash, a window pops up and you will be asked, if you
like to send a bug report. Send it and copy the link to the crash report.

Yes, I would call a document with more than 30.000 pages a huge file. But I
don't have experiences with such huge documents. So I can't answer your
question.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128416] New: LO DRAW: Export Figures in the size they are

2019-10-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128416

Bug ID: 128416
Summary: LO DRAW: Export Figures in the size they are
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: herm...@rochholz.de

Description:
In LO Draw one has to define page size and then one draws on top of this page.
But the drawing usually is smaller than the page.

My request is a button to fit page size to the drawing.
In Inkscape it's

"pagesize to selection"

Or draw a frame on top of the drawing and use this as export size.

Steps to Reproduce:
---

Actual Results:
I paint in LO Draw (I like it),
But to put pictures into Latex one needs to bring them into correct size.

And if you try to export via Inkscape (export to svg, lod this in IS
and write there on eps) details are lost (e.g. hatches).

I tried for hours - nothing worked in a way that it's publishable.

Expected Results:
A button: "Adapt pagesize to object size"
or something similar.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

The problems vary - sometimes LO just stops responding, sometimes it stalls and
then crashes. I linked to crash report when I filed this. I will send links
if you can tell me where to find them.
A bigger issue for me now is: if you consider this a huge file, should I
abandon LO as my word processing software? I have been building this data for
many years, and have been using LO for at least the last five years with good
results, but if the program can't deal with files this big, maybe I should
(very regretfully) return to Word.

table's inner horizontal border.

This only happens when a single row is moved to the next page -- if two rows
are displayed, then everything is correct.

If I manually set the format of the row's top border, it displays correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In a new document, create a table with 2 columns and five rows (actual
number is irrelevant, as long as there's more than two rows).
2. Format the table so that the top, bottom, and inner horizontal borders are
visibly different (ex. top border thick red, bottom border thick purple, inner
horizontal border thin grey)
3. Add line feeds above the table so that the last table row moves to the top
of the second page

Actual Results:
The top border of the last row in the table uses the table's bottom border
format.

Expected Results:
The top border of the last row in the table should use the table's inner
horizontal border format

Reproducible: Always

A non-breaking space (U+00A0) is shown with field shading--so toggle is
+F8

Compared to the space (U+0020) which is shown as a NPC--toggled with +F10

bug 58434 is open to get this sorted out.
