to be more precise:

With KDE integration module, I get a nicer style (Breeze), but no VISIBLE arrow
buttons for stepping.

As I described above, the buttons are unvisible, but work.

Hello,

thanks for your help.

I installed version 6.3.3.2 (parallel to existing version to
/opt/libreoffice6.3), but same problems here.

Without KDE integration module
(libobasis6.3-kde-integration-6.3.3.2-2.x86_64.rpm), I get the 'rough' standard
style with scrollbars and one arrow button for stepping.

With KDE integration module, I get a nicer style (Breeze), but no arrow buttons
for stepping.

I have made a screencast of the bug.

I have made 2 tests in this video:
- case 1: nothing double underline but the checkbox is not active to be
checked.

- case 2: after applying double underline to the letter A, and moving to the
letters B and C, inspite of text NOT being double underlined the checkbox is
like B and C are double underlined.

The video is much easier to understand than this text.

A partial revert should solve the problem (too late for 6.2.x), but lets leave
this bug report open to remove RES_BACKGROUND dependency. In other words, how
can we make it work so that XATTR_FILL can be used here instead of
RES_BACKGROUND.

Dear Harald Koester,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear stefan_lange...@t-online.de,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109382] [FILEOPEN DOCX/RTF] multicharacter custom foot/endnote markers are not imported or formatted properly

2019-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109382

Dear Justin L,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128680] New: Ability to pin files to the [File] "Recent Documents" popup window

2019-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128680

Bug ID: 128680
Summary: Ability to pin files to the [File] "Recent Documents"
popup window
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: llon...@gmail.com

Description:
For all LibreOffice applications, please add the ability for the user to "pin"
files to the "File > Recent Documents" popup window.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any LibreOffice application.
2. Select "File" from the Menu bar and scroll down to highlight "Recent
Documents".
3. A popup window displays about 20 of the most recently used LO files.

Actual Results:
Only the most recently used LO files are displayed.

Expected Results:
PROPOSAL:
The window will display LO files that have been "pinned" by the user at the
top.
These would be followed by LO files that have been most recently used.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
There are certain files that I use on a regular (monthly, etc.) basis.
However, I often have to browse to open them, since I may have opened a number
of other files in the meantime.

By allowing me to "pin" specific files to this window, I will be able to find
those important--but not frequently used--files when I need them.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128678] New: EDITING Unable to unselect merged cells using arrows keys when selecting from bottom or right

2019-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128678

Bug ID: 128678
Summary: EDITING Unable to unselect merged cells using arrows
keys when selecting from bottom or right
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nilskemail+bugzi...@gmail.com

Description:
When adding merged cells to a selection which are to the top or left of the
initial cell it is not possible to unselect them using Shift+Arrow in the
direction they are merged.
Unselecting them using a mouse or escaping the merged cell perpendicular to
it's merged direction still works however.

When selecting a mix of normal and merged cells (using a mouse or Shift+Arrow)
the behaviour can get pretty strange.
This can be tested by making a circle of merged cells (X: merged):
0 X X 0
X 0 0 X
X 0 0 X
0 X X 0
The selection mechanism can now be tested by select a cell in an inner or outer
corner and adding more cells to the selection.
It can be observed that above problem does not occur when the initall selected
cell is to the top and/or left oft the merged cells.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Merge cells A1 and B1
2. Select cell C1
3. Press Shift+LeftArrow to add A1:B1 to the selection
4. Try to remove A1:B1 from the selection using Shift+RightArrow

Actual Results:
Step 4 is impossible and you can't remove the merged cells from the selection

Expected Results:
After either 1 or 2 presses of the right arrow the merged cells should be
excluded from the selection

Reproducible: Always

Is this still an issue with CUPS >= 2.2.7?

I can't recall the details at the moment, but I remember that something has
changed in CUPS that made us drop the idea of doing something similar for the
Qt print dialog, s. https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/225198/ ,
in particular the last comment there:

> Abandoning this patchset since it is quite complex (threads & stuff) and the

If this is no longer an issue with current CUPS versions, I suggest to close

Ok, so you click the button and observe input fields.
You can edit the dialog from Tools - Macros - Organize dialogs, expand the tree
of the document and edit Dialog1.

This is not seen on Windows.

Would be interesting to hear from a macOS user.

Tested with 43all bibisect repo, the problem is already in last36onmaster. In
oldest, I was unable to change macro security settings.

I assume this is while using the gtk3 backend (seen in Help - About). Gtk3 does
not show icons in menus and LibreOffice respects this, if you use the gtk3
backend. The gtk developers made this decision some years ago and it is final.

Recently, there was a commit "hide show-icons under gtk3", which removes the
confusion in options.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128676] New: Icons in menus don't display in 6.2, but they display in 6.1

2019-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128676

Bug ID: 128676
Summary: Icons in menus don't display in 6.2, but they display
in 6.1
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ronljohnso...@gmail.com

Description:
I've got 6.1.6 (from
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=deb-x86_64), and I've been
upgrading in place like that for many years.

Tools->Options->LibreOffice->View->Menu "Icons in menus" is set to Automatic,
and the icons display as expected.

Finally, I decided to upgrade to 6.2, and downloaded and installed 6.2.8 from
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=deb-x86_64. After
installing it, the icons do not display even though "Icons in menus" is still
set to Automatic.

The problem occurred in both Calc and Writer (that's all I tried).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the debian 6.2.8 packages.
2. Install them in Xubuntu, parallel to 6.1.
3. Run 6.2.8.
4. Click any drop-down menu.

Actual Results:
Menu icons do not display.

Expected Results:
Menu icons display even when "Icons in menus" is set to Automatic.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

First of all, for me, both with 6.3 and master (using gtk3 backend), the
Character formatting dialog closes after changing a value and hitting Enter. To
be sure, please be more specific about which field you are manipulating in the
Character formatting dialog.

Second, if the keyboard behaviour changed in relation to tabs, it must be
because the dialogs now use native gtk:
https://caolanm.blogspot.com/2019/10/native-gtk-dialogs-in-libreoffice.html
This means LibreOffice adapts to the gtk way of doing things and it certainly
might be different from Windows.

Any better for you if you force LibreOffice to substitute Cambria Math for
OpenSymbol.

Tools -> Options -> Fonts and 'Apply replacement table' checkbox

enter OpenSymbol in the 'Font' droplist, and Cambria Math in the 'Replace with'
droplist. Then use the green check mark button to create the replacement entry.

Check 'always' checkbox, and OK to complete the dialog.

Substitution should apply to the GUI, and to any output/printout.

Until bug 101174 is implemented, this should work.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128614] Paste bug

2019-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128614

I can't reproduce this behaviour in LinuxMint 19.1 / LO 6.3.3.2 (de-de).
But I know this exact problem from Windows + Excel 2016:
As long as there is a "blinking line" (sorry, don't know the "professional"
term for this) around the selected - and copied - cells, the clipboard seems to
be write-locked so that other applications can only read from but not write to
the clipboard. Only when you return to Excel/Calc and press ESC key (= end this
"copy mode") the clipboard is "unlocked" again.
And: The problem only arises when selecting/copying CELLS, not single
letters/text within a cell.
Is this behaviour what you experience?
