Yesterday I tried a Windows version of LibreOffice Calc, and the bug is also
there.
Also, I noticed that the BL column (the last one not affected by the bug) is,
in hexadecimal, the 0x40 column. Instead, the AMJ column (the last column of
the spreadsheet) is the 0x400 column. Have you forgotten a zero?

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95655

Dear Filippo,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105241] misplaced picture in word document

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105241

Dear Jozef Riha,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Test document with User Fields and date and time formats

Maybe this was never a bug -- if it was possible to assign formats to inserted
fields at the time of the original report. In the described procedure, no
mention is made of whether any formatting was applied to the newly inserted
variables. If care is taken to format as Time -- then everything appears as it
should. The "weird" number is simply the numerical value for 13:30. The
attached document will demonstrate. Some remaining strange behaviors are
mentioned at the end of the attached document. Maybe others can evaluate if
they give some motivation for a new bug report.

The present examples were tested with 6.5.0.0.alpha and 6.3.4.2 (though 6.3.4.2
had a problem with inserting time formatted variables), which will be reported
in another bug.

This is implementing Regina's proposal from comment 9. Since that would simply
make the font unconditionally available, possibly no need for a warning (but a

Could not reproduce. Used attachment 113682. Was able to change each input
field, where only the other fields with the same variable changed, without
affecting the other fields. Also inserted a user field elsewhere and edited
its value, which changed in the relevant input fields.

Why do you think it is chaos? Note that the paragraph style for the first
fields are Centered Bold Caps Heading. If you change the style to Default (for
example), then the screen will appear differently.

Maybe this is now WFM?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69724] There is no ability to set/configure the default number/bullet styles

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69724

I agree.

I think this request to allow the user to set the default of what type of
bullet and Spacing occurs when the Bullet button on the tool-bar is clicked is
very important.

LibreOffice is a full feature word processor.

But it is quite intimidating when a user just wants a SIMPLE interface.

For example: many users I know just want one simple bullet that they can access
from the toolbar without going into any complicated styles.

It seems that this request has been on the books for a few years now.
Any progress?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129960] New: Unable to print sheet 13 or higher if linked data is used

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129960

Bug ID: 129960
Summary: Unable to print sheet 13 or higher if linked data is
used
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tom...@gmail.com

Description:
In case of documents that contain linked data (things like
='file:///C:/path/file.ods'#$Sheet1.A1) option 'Print' produces empty prints
for sheets 13 or higher. Print does work fine for sheet 1 up to sheet 12.
It happens for Linux and Windows.

Steps to Reproduce:
I'm using Polish version of LO.
1. Create Calc document and in Sheet1 fill cells A1 to A13 with values 1 to 13.
2. Save the file and close the app.
3. Create another calc document and add 12 sheets so that there are 13 sheets
all together.
4. Go back to first sheet and in cell A1 enter
='file:///C:/path/first_file.ods'#$Sheet1.A1
5. In second sheet in cell A1 enter
='file:///C:/path/first_file.ods'#$Sheet1.A2. Repeat the process for remaining
sheets replacing A2 with A3, A4,...
6. Save second file and close the app
7. Reopen second file, allow loading external content, go to sheet 13 and hit
"Print Preview" <- bug there is nothing in the preview (in my case "Empty print
range" but in Polish "Pusty zakres wydruku"). Also Print doesn't print anything

Actual Results:
Empty 'Pring preview', empty paper sheet

Expected Results:
A13 printed on paper

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
If second file is saved in Excel file format then 'Print preview' is working
correctly

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42673] With disconnected network printers, Calc hangs opening some files waiting on the Windows print spooler

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42673

--- Comment #26 from Tim van der Meij ---
I also encountered this problem today and it took a long time to find the root
cause. I have some additional details to share.

I did a clean install of Windows and found that LibreOffice Calc would take 13
seconds to open even the most basic ODS files while this didn't happen before.
XLSX files worked just fine. I tried everything from reinstalling LibreOffice
to removing the profile directory with no result. I finally reinstalled Windows
again and kept track of when LibreOffice Calc would stop working. I found that
it started occurring when I installed the printer (Epson XP 630) through
Windows and the printer was offline, and found this bug.

Like others noticed above, ODS files (for most likely a good reason) contain a
reference to the printer, so I presume LibreOffice Calc is trying to locate
this printer upon startup. Unticking the "Load printer settings with the
document" as suggested in
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116559 did not work for me,
but what did work was changing the default printer to e.g., the Microsoft XPS
Writer.

I looked into this and found that Windows installed the default Microsoft IPP
drivers for the printer instead of the Epson drivers, and I can only assume
that the spooler keeps on trying to connect to the printer even though it's
offline. The moment I installed the Epson-specific drivers, the problem was
gone. I guess it has a faster way to tell the spooler that the printer cannot
be reached.

I would say that Windows is at fault for not installing the Epson drivers by
default and for having a default driver that apparently makes the spooler wait
for a long time before reporting that the printer is offline. However, I agree
with Comment 13 that LibreOffice Calc can mitigate the issue by querying the
spooler in a separate thread. Removing the spooler actions from the main thread
would allow the rest of LibreOffice Calc to work correctly and the document to
open normally, while in the background the spooler is queried. This would make
the issue invisible for the user because having to wait 10+ seconds for a
document to open is too long.

I'm hoping this will help to get the issue resolved. Thank you for all your
work on LibreOffice!

You are right, one tip per day is done per design. Point is that it is a tip of
the _day_ and some users may restart the app quite often. If you are curious
what comes next you can click through the list :-)

PS: The registry is reset/no accessed in safe mode so the value when the tip
was shown last time is zero - and therefore it comes again.

Also it doesn't work when re-saving an ODF presentation to ppt/pptx format.
Embedded fonts are just lost.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129959] New: [EDITING] Unable To Import Image into Writer using 'Insert->Image' Receiving Error: "Image filter not found"

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129959

Bug ID: 129959
Summary: [EDITING] Unable To Import Image into Writer using
'Insert->Image' Receiving Error: "Image filter not
found"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: wsciar...@gmail.com

Description:
[EDITING] I am unable to insert an image into a writer .odt document by
clicking "Insert->Image..."
When I click into that dialog, it launches my file viewer. From there I select
the image (I have tried multiple images of different types including .jpg
.png). When I click Open the file is not inserted into the document. A dialog
appears and states "Image filter not found"

Appears to be the same behavior seen in Bug 113145.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Writer
2.Click Insert->Image...
3.Select and click open for an image.

Actual Results:
The image is not inserted into the document.
A dialog appears with the message "Image filter not found"

Expected Results:
The image should be inserted into the documents

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I have attempted the following troubleshooting methods:

-Restting UserProfile
-Running in SafeMode
-Tried with and without Tools->Options->LibreOffice->View->Use Hardwar
Acceleration (with a full reboot in between tests)
-Tried with and without OpenGL Enabled (with a full reboot in between tests)

Writer file containing images, frames and index entries

1. Open the attached writer file.
2. On page 1 there is an image of Planet Earth with a separate frame containing
some text. Click within the text.
3. In the Paragraph styles list, double-click "Frame Contents - vertical.

EXPECTED RESULT: The text and frame assume a vertical orientation AND the index
entry marks in the text are still visible.
ACTUAL RESULT: The same: i.e. the correct behaviour.

4. Now repeat steps 1-3 on the same frame on page 9 (or 11).

EXPECTED RESULT: Same as above.
ACTUAL RESULT: The index entry marks (in grey) become invisible.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129824] Crash in: SwDocUpdateField::MakeFieldList_(SwDoc &, int) after "Insert" of a "User Field" with no value

2020-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129824

Have finally found a reliable recipe -- which also crashes:

Version: 6.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 035c7717c135c66c0ec025500b73ae9c13b7c586
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: da-DK (en_DK); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

1. Make a User Field (Ctrl-F2, Variable tab, Type - User Field, Name (your
choice), Apply )
2. Insert an Input Field using the User Field. (enter some text in the field)
3. Leave the cursor inside the Input Field in the document.
(now you should not be able to "Close" the Fields Dialog.)
4. Press "Insert" (with cursor still in Input Field)
Crash!

Additional info:

1. The Recovery process tries to save the file, but ran for a long time, so I
closed it.
2. The offer to send a crash report was accepted, but no URL was given.
3. Understand now that I could not Close the Fields dialog, because the cursor
was in the Input Field.
4. Have not re-tested the recipe with 6.3.4.2, but expect that it will make a
crash.

I just noticed that with US keyboard layout, maj/shift of ";" corresponds to
":" (the one which should perhaps be declared) so perhaps everything is related
here in a way.
