Sorry, but enhancement request is not clear to me. I think you shouldn't use
bookmarks to create a TOC. And as far as I know you also don't need bookmarks
to create an alphabetical index. So neither the use case nor your working
process is clear to me. So perhaps you cann add a clearer step by step
description and perhaps add a sample document that makes it easier to
understand.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130650] New: No apparent way to hide right sidebar

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130650

Bug ID: 130650
Summary: No apparent way to hide right sidebar
   Product: LibreOffice Online
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jor...@gmail.com

Created attachment 157851
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=157851=edit
LO sidebar with no handle to hide/unhide it

I cannot, for the life of me, find a way to hide the right sidebar, there is no
handle to hide/unhide it and I cannot find any such menu open.

This is doubly annoying because Nextcloud also adds its sidebar, leaving very
little screen real estate for the editor.

Ypu simply can enter the name of an existing bookmark in the dialog. So
improvement could be to have an autocomplete in this field. Would this solve
your problem?

The screenshot as shown in attachment 152389 is not Chinese characters at all.
It is "garbage characters / messy code". It is very likely binary data, as
suggested by Ming Hua.

It works OK if I install this extension with libreoffice GUI.

If I install the extension on Fedora 31, with:
/opt/libreofficedev6.3/program/unopkg add -f ./linguist-1-5-1.oxt
Then it is installed correctly.

Olivier: I guess you are using Windows operating system?

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130648] New: Add Icons for New uno:ProtectBookmarks and uno:ProtectFields Commands

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130648

Bug ID: 130648
Summary: Add Icons for New uno:ProtectBookmarks and
uno:ProtectFields Commands
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: riz_17_...@yahoo.co.id

As from https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/88585 and
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/88586 we have now new
uno:ProtectBookmarks and uno:ProtectFields commands. These new commands help
lock fields and bookmarks on a template document. Especially bookmarks are
often accidentally deleted and you might not even notice. So this toggle allows
to quickly switch between locking/unlocking of them.

Please add icons to these new .uno: commands.

@jacksjy:
* What is your ibus-libpinyin version?
* If possible, could you test to see if the problem persists in Fedora 31? You
can use an ISO to test if you do not want to upgrade to Fedora 31 from Fedora
30.

My blurriness check with my laptop being: start Calc, double click into cell
A1, type "status" into the cell, hit return, "status" will either become blurry
(bad) or be crisp (good).

Have Xcode 11.3.1 with SDK 10.15 and manually added
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.13.sdk

Comparing a crisp local master build with (among others)

  --with-macosx-version-max-allowed=10.13

against a blurry one with

  --with-macosx-sdk=10.15

(i.e., just switching the SDK used for the build), I find that what it takes to
change the blurry build to be crisp is just the following:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130647] New: Setting up Bookmarks

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130647

Bug ID: 130647
   Summary: Setting up Bookmarks
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drfran...@embarqmail.com

Description:
The process of setting bookmarks requires too much key stroke activity to get
the bookmark in place.

Steps to Reproduce:
When a bookmark is desired in a text you place the cursor where you want the
bookmark to be and then press CTRL-Q
The problem is that the section where the bookmark is to be named defaults to
"bookmark1" This requires deleting this default and entering the desired
name for the bookmark.

Actual Results:
The system works but it is tedious if you are adding a LARGE number of
bookmarks to a LARGE document.

Expected Results:
Worked but took a lot of effort to set up say 100 bookmarks in the 400 page
document. It would make more sense to have the bookmark name picked up from
either selected text or a single word of text which appears after the cursor
where the bookmark is to go. This would save a considerable amount of time.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The instructions should clearly reflect the change if it is made.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130646] New: Simplification of Hyperlink Process

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130646

Bug ID: 130646
   Summary: Simplification of Hyperlink Process
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drfran...@embarqmail.com

Description:
There needs to be a simplified method of inserting hyperlinks into a document
using bookmarked segments of the document.

Steps to Reproduce:
I use Writer for creating LARGE documents and need the option of putting
hyperlinks into the document to enable referencing of terminology which may be
obscure to or forgotten by the reader. That is I link technical words with
their prior definitions or explanations in the same document.

There should be a FASTER way to open the hyperlink entry system and get to the
bookmarks than exists now. To enter a hyperlink NOW from one part of a
document to another you first must set up a bookmark to link to from the word
you want to define or clarify. Then you have to OPEN the hyperlink dialogues
with CTRL-K then TAB backward 2 times then cursor down 2 times and then tab
forward 4 times and then hit space to open the bookmark menu. If you have say
100 bookmarks it is very awkward to do this and then have to scroll slowly down
the list to find the one you want to link to. Then you have to press enter and
then ALT C then Alt O 2 times to exit the area back to the document. This
should be MUCH simpler to accomplish. In addition in using this system it is
tedious to have to scroll through a LONG list of BOOKMARKS to find the one to
link to. A search option in this area would be amazingly helpful.

The configuration options for hyperlinks and bookmarks could use some
clarification as well. It took me forever to understand that you have to set
up the proper styles and make sure the headings and content styles match then
check to make sure the link looks the way you want it to when it is entered.

Actual Results:
The process works but is exceedingly tedious.

Expected Results:
Hot Keys to set up a hyperlink might be the answer and a search option in the
bookmark selection area.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The instructions in the help bundle are obscure in this area as well.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130645] New: Up and down arrow in data ranges work the other way around

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 130645
Summary: Up and down arrow in data ranges work the other way

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: johan...@gmail.com

Description:
The up and down arrow in data ranges don't work as expected.
The up arrow moves down, down arrow moves up.

This gif shows it:
https://imgur.com/1Kr8fJ8

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a table with multiple columns
2.Create a graph of those columns as data ranges
3.Try to set an order for these data ranges
4.Use the up-arrow
5.Use the down-arrow

Actual Results:
Using the up-arrow makes the chosen range go down
Using the down-arrow makes the chosen range go up
The arrows become greyed out in the 'correct' position if the arrow would've
been working as expected. So the upper most item cannot be moved downwards. The
lower most item cannot be moved up.

Expected Results:
The down-arrow should move the range down, and the up-arrow should move the
range up.

OS: Linux (All)

  Severity: enhancement

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drfran...@embarqmail.com

Description:
A suggestion for improvement of the hyperlink process which should be much
simpler

Steps to Reproduce:
I think someone should review the instructions for placing hyperlinks and
bookmarks into a document to link from one segment of a document to another and
to set up a TOC or Index.

They are obscure at best.

The configuration options for hyperlinks and bookmarks could use some
clarification as well. It took me forever to understand that you have to set
up the proper styles and make sure the "headings" and "content" styles match
then check to make sure the link looks the way you want it to when it is
entered. Then if there are a number of levels to bookmark for a table or index
you have to make sure to apply the "content" to the proper key strokes to be
able to use them.

Actual Results:
The problem is in setting up everything needed to place a bookmark to be used
in a TOC setting up bookmarks is not a big deal but if you want to set up a TOC
the instructions are not clear.

Expected Results:
The Thing works but is hard to understand how to make it work even after
checking the online community help.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
The instructions should be step by step for bookmarks, hyperlinks and TOC
setups.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117948] After hiding a column, saving and reopening, line is moved to a different column

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117948

The problem is in RecalcPos() in
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/core/data/drwlayer.cxx?r=f147b160
starting from line #978. The comment indicates, that it assumes, that setting
the LogicRect will resize the shape. That is the case for most shapes, but not
for SdrPathObj. Here the size is contained in the coordinates of its points and
not in maRect.
Therefore
#996  pObj->SetLogicRect(aFullRect);
does not change the shape
and
#1001  const tools::Rectangle aObjRect(pObj->GetSnapRect());
does not return the expected rectangle.

Possible solutions:
A
Handle SdrPathObj different in drwlayer.cxx. (Ideas: Use NbcResize() of the
SdrPathObj or work on a copy of its maPathPolygon.)
B
Implement SetLogicRect for SdrPathObj so, that it resizes the shape. Currently
it has no own implementation but uses the inherited one from SdrTextObj.

A longer comment of the problems with maRect is in comment #1729-#1747 in
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/svx/source/svdraw/svdopath.cxx?r=1f625b3f

I'm not sure, which way would be better.

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 130643
Summary: Selection of values from Selection List using key DOWN
not possible.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: u...@franke-auer.de

Description:
Pressing ALT+DOWN on a column allows to create a Selection List of values
already inserted into the current column and to select a value from the list.
Current version LibreOffice does *not* allow to select a value from the
selection list using DOWN key. Using DOWN key just inserts the 1st entry from
the list generated by ALT+DOWN. To select another value from the list, mouse
needs to be used.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an empty Calc sheet
2. Add some items into let's say the first nine rows (cells A1 throuh A9)
3. Move to cell A10
4. Type ALT+DOWN to create the Selection List
5. Use key DOWN and try to select any value other than the first one

Actual Results:
No other than the first value from the Selection List can be selected when
using DOWN key (in fact it doesn't seem to be a user selection)

Expected Results:
Any value from the the Selection List can be selected when using DOWN key

aReturn.bEnabled = xViewsSup.is();

but xViewsSup.is() returns false.

Whereas we use the same odbc implementation in LO, I don't reproduce this with
an ODBC connection to a Firebird database. Perhaps not related to LO but to

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124443] AutoInput tooltip positioning is inconsistent when editing formula, covering different parts of UI

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124443

It makes very much sense to display the arguments' tooltip below when editing
cells in the first two rows, where a tooltip above would hide the column
headers. Also, usually formulas are edited more frequently below a column of
data than above, so again displaying the tooltip below does not hide the data.
Editing a formula in the Input Line IMHO is less common.

To change this it should rather be detected whether editing happens in the
Formula Bar's Input Line and only then display the arguments' tooltip above.

According to
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/connectivity/source/drivers/firebird/Table.cxx?r=80aec8ef#191
188 if (bIsAutoIncrementChanged)
189 {
190::dbtools::throwSQLException(
191 "Changing autoincrement property of existing column is not
supported",
192 ::dbtools::StandardSQLState::FUNCTION_NOT_SUPPORTED,
193 *this);
194
195 }

It's not supported yet.

More details here about autoincrement field support in the different versions
of Firebird:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34553826/easiest-way-to-create-an-auto-increment-field-in-firebird-database

(BTW Mark Rotteveel works on "Jaybird" the JDBC connector to Firebird)

Remark: for the moment, LO includes Firebird 3.0.0 package where there's 3.0.5.
I had tried to upgrade it but there were some pb with MacOs part, I abandoned
it.
If someone wants to give it a try or perhaps we prefer waiting for Firebird
4.0.

then leave this Calc Document Open, and open a second one, do the same thing.
again generate some examples.

Hallo Xisco,

your welcome to download the extension from here:
https://github.com/michaelmassee/Petanque-Turnier-Manager/releases

also the Sourcecode is free from my Github repo.

I did a lot of refactory in the last couple of weeks, did test on several
hardware, virtual box, Linux, Windows, 6.3 and 6.4 versions, clean Install, etc
etc ...

to get these damned!! core dumps under control.

and i think it is a waste of time for you. Maybe fix one of (my?/yours?) issue.

Much better for me is.
Just simply thow a Java Exption, with a clear and decent error message.

so i have a chance to fix it myself.

regards

Steps to reproduce

1. Open styles in sidebar
2. Modify Heading 3 in paragraph style
3. Font size is 101%

Should be 100%. I think, this is a bug an d not an enhancement request.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130642] New: PPT/PPTX export yields low resolution images from SVGs

2020-02-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130642

Bug ID: 130642
Summary: PPT/PPTX export yields low resolution images from SVGs
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cy...@bobobeach.com

If I have an impress presentation that contains an SVG, I can save it to ODP
and everything is fine. If I try to save the presentation as PPT or PPTX any
embedded SVGs are replaced with low-resolution rasterized versions. It would be
great if the PPTX file could have the embedded SVG contained in it (I think
PPTX supports this now), but, at a minimum, the rasterized version should be of
much higher quality.
