[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130830] New: Writer: Inconsistent language in table cell having multiple languages after applying Currency number format

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130830

Bug ID: 130830
Summary: Writer: Inconsistent language in table cell having
multiple languages after applying Currency number
format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.1.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

1. In a new text document, insert a table
2. Type "123" in cell A1
3. Select "12" and set selection language to en-US; select "3" and set
selection language to Russian
4. Put cursor in A1 after the last character (after "3"); see that "Russian" is
displayed in status bar
5. Apply Currency number format using "Number Format: Currency" button from
Table toolbar

Actual result: the number is displayed "$123.00", *but* the *whole cell*
language is now Russian.

Expected: either the currency must follow the language of current cursor
position (and in this case, become Rubles), or the cell language must become
that which was used to choose the currency (likely the language of the start of
the number).

Current behaviour is inconsistent.

Already reproducible with Version: 4.1.0.0.beta2
Build ID: 33224f4f11a05cfad2249e812fcc2975fbb61f6

and still is the case with Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: bae73c0726e7fdf7f427a8254c9d6d4b4c510daf
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL:
win;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

Not reproducible with Version 4.0.0.3 (Build ID:
7545bee9c2a0782548772a21bc84a9dcc583b89)
in which it simply doesn't apply the currency formatting to a cell with
multiple languages, so I don't know if this qualifies as a regression.

Please give exact steps. Steps don't give anything strange. What you wrote is
not the same as video, which shows many steps.
You need to check if bug appears with built-in Bibliography database, which is
easier to test. If not, you need to attach minimal sample.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130829] New: Wrong formula in sheet with Pivot Table

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130829

Bug ID: 130829
Summary: Wrong formula in sheet with Pivot Table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: suokunl...@126.com

Created attachment 158066
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=158066=edit
Test XLSX file

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached xlsx file with Calc.
2. Compare with MSO ("expected screenshot")

Expected Result:
The formulas in column D should be set on the same rows as "cat" and "dog".

Current Result:
The formulas in column D are set on the wrong rows. Due to this, if you do
"Data > Calculation > Force Recalculation (Ctrl + Shift + F9), you will get
#VALUE! in cell D4.

Actually the reason for this bug may be due to the fact that Calc inserted a
new row (i.e., row 3 which is showing as "Data").

Reproduced in both 6.3 branch and the current master. Fedora 31 x64.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80270] FORMATTING: if a Table of contents (TOC) in Writer is over two pages, it is impossible to change page style of the second page

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80270

It worked that way already in OOo 3.2.0.

So I cannot understand what's missing, and what is the proposed enhancement.
Both ways is and was working: the "proper" one using page styles' "Next style",
and using manual page breaks with page styles.

Since the actual *proposal* is missing (like "Add this"), and the premise is
wrong (it's in fact *possible* to change page style of the second page), I
suggest close INVALID.

If the LibreOffice community decides it's not a valuable function to have, then
that's that. Personally, I believe it's very valuable. When I use Google
Sheets, whenever I edit a document, it's rare that I don't use this function.

"Clone tool" and "Double Click Clone tool" do not offer the same effectiveness.

I'm not a coder, and I don't know what modifications for LibreOffice this
entails. It's very easy for me to make suggestions. I know it is another thing
to do the work.

Cheers!

That's actually a good question.

It could be the same functionality as with the "Clone Formatting". E.g. If a
Non-formatted text and a bold text are in the same selection, then the clone
tool is pressed, when pasted, the clone tool seems to ignore any format
selected. It's too confusing to know what the user wants to paste, and I agree
with that.

In Google Docs, they seem to have a different approach. I haven't quite figured
out the logic behind the function. Sometimes some attributes get pasted and
other times, others.

I confirm this is reproduced on my macos 10.15.3 / LO 6.3.1.2.

The file opens in the foremost opened application: either Calc, as text, where
it triggers the text format import dialog, or Writer, in which it just opens in
plain text.

I had exactly the same issue on a different file set and when faced with this
problem I asked the user list where Steve told me it looked like his bug.

Dear strata_ranger,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Need to install optional image filters to enable exports to various formats. I
used custom install and turned those off. Installing those filters made
additional formats appear on export dialog. Installing the XSLT sample filter
made xhtml format appear as well.

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Works fine on 6.1.5.2 linux(deb10.3)
Version: 6.1.5.2
Build ID: 1:6.1.5-3+deb10u5
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Seems like a UI regression. On windows versions, file format listbox shows only
pdf.

(In reply to Dieter from comment #4)
Thanks. Now I understand. This is NAB.
My confusion arose because, I could physically place a frame above the "dotted
line" which marks the header.

But I understand now that the critical feature is not the physical location of
the frame, but whether it is "anchored" in the header.

So, it is possible to anchor a frame to a paragraph in the header, but place
the frame physically in the middle of the page, and it will be repeated across
all the pages.

Or anchor a frame to a page, but place it in the Header Area (Case B), then
then it only shows on the page where anchored.

Nope. More like the "Area" tab (in, for example, Paragraph Style dialog), where
clicking on a radio button shows all and only the controls that correspond to
the button.

Attachment 157713 shows idea (with two Draw slides).
Click on "General" and only "General" controls are shown.
Click on "Spreadsheet", only Spreadsheet controls are shown.

(eliminates completely the need to "scroll" in a big window)

Undocking toolbars works as expected, but re-docking is just possible at the
undock position using either the popup menu (arrow) of the toolbar decoration
and selecting "Dock Toolbar" or by Ctrl + double click in some empty area of

@Miklos - I was going to try, but I cannot figure out why it is not already
being shown.

- assume Paragraph Style and Character Style also use effectpage.ui
- which is controlled with cui/source/tabpages/chardlg.cxx
- where the relevant place to hide the transparency controls is:

2450  if ((nFlags & SVX_ENABLE_CHAR_TRANSPARENCY) !=
SVX_ENABLE_CHAR_TRANSPARENCY)

- assume problem is that "Paragraph Style" and "Character Style" are not
passing the needed flag

- but cannot see where the flags for Paragraph and Character Style are defined.
Do you happen to have information about that?

We must think about possible ambiguities depending on the configuration, about
how convert text dates.

It affects only kf5 (kde5) vcl plugin.
I don't tested if it depended on DE (plasma or kde-framework vs gnome) or
window manager (kwin, openbox etc)
And one more, CTR + Cyrillic_trigger_letter works fine

Yes, I totally agree. It would greatly improve workflow for all users who
create documents with lots of images if there was an option to, manually, set
image compression across the whole document in one step. While also leaving
the option to choose compression for images individually.

Basically a batch option for compression that can be switched of and on.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120663] No impress remote: Impress incompatible with current bluetooth stack on linux (RFCOMM server failed for LibreOffice Impress Remote: rfcomm_bind: Address already in use)

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #13 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com ---
Thanks for the analysis!

>From it, I still wonder whether this is a pulseaudio bug, though. Why is
pulseaudio ever binding to RFCOMM channel 3 *before* there is any need to do
so? That is, until I am not connected to any device using channel 3, why is
pulseaudio already using it up?

In other words, it seems reasonable to me to have the laptop connected to the
phone as a headset and in this case not to have the impress remote working. But
in case I start impress before setting up a bluetooth connection to the phone,
why should be the pulseaudio binding already there?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130818] New: Segfault (crash) when changing alignment of text in a Text box

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130818

Bug ID: 130818
Summary: Segfault (crash) when changing alignment of text in a
Text box
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fondatomma...@yahoo.com

Description:
Affects Libreoffice Writer 6.4.0.3 on both Windows and openSUSE Tumbleweed (LO
installed from the distribution's official repos).

I've captured a backtrace by following the official tutorial for Linux. There
seems to be a segmentation fault. Should you need any other log, do let me know
and I'll provide it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any document in Writer
2. Insert a new text box (click on Insert > Text box)
3. Drag a Text box of any size on the page
4. Release the text box so that the blinking cursor appears (i.e. you're ready
to start typing in the box)
5. Click on either "Centered", "Align to right", or "Justified". Even
re-clicking on the default "Align to left" will do.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice Writer crashed.

Expected Results:
The cursor should have moved to the right position, depending on the chosen
alignment.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120663] No impress remote: Impress incompatible with current bluetooth stack on linux (RFCOMM server failed for LibreOffice Impress Remote: rfcomm_bind: Address already in use)

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120663

This issue was annoying me for a while too. So I sat down and debugged bluez to
see why the bind fails: LO is using the default channel (3) for the RFCOMM
protocol as it should be. However, the bind call fails, because another process
has already bound that channel via DBUS. Changing the default RFCOMM channel in
the bluez source temporaliy to 2 (UDP, unused) and recompiling bluez made
remote impress work immediately!

So I inspected the DBUS users via the old mdbus tool from openmoko and it
turned out that the other process is PulseAudio: The HS profile needs the
RFCOMM for the AT Commands and registers channel 3. Stop PA and impress remote
works again.

So now we have two programs that need RFCOMM for the mobile phone. :-(
One solution would be that LO explicitly requests channel 2 instead of the
default one. Channel 2 is UDP and unused to my knowledge. This will work until
another programm needs RFCOMM and chooses 2 as a free channel...

Or, in the long run, there needs to be some kind of multipexing between the
apps that use the RFCOMM protocol.

Thank you for reporting the bug.

To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

If the problem still persists, please attach a sample document, as this makes
it easier for us to verify the bug.
(Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive

description:
For a few weeks now, the formatting in LO Writer has changed as soon as I enter
Enter (even with the latest update: 6.4.0.3). The previously selected
formatting (e.g. prepackage text or standard) always changes to "Indent first
line" after Enter. In the paragraph template for template text, "default text"
based on "standard" is set up as a follow-up template. The same can be found in
the "Standard" formatting. The follow-up template is also "Standard" there. And
in both cases the formatting is reset to "Indent first line" after an Enter.
But that should not be so. Can you help me? Thank you

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter
2. Paragraph template "default text" changes to "indent first line"
3rd or: Paragraph template "Standard" changes to "Indentation first line"
Third

Actual Results:
The result is always the same.

Expected Results:
The paragraph template should not change after an enter, especially not in "egg
move first line"

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Do I now have to cancel all of my hard-worked paragraph templates?
