Dear vic.orgos+bugslibreoffice,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

I don't find any issue with the unconstrained pdfium import 'insert image'
filter implemented for bug 89727 -- it sizes inside margins for the page,
section or frame being targeted. Size resolution of the source PDF is
secondary to fitting the target.

These are not individual sm nodes, rather, these are manifestation of poor font
metrics with the projects OpenSymbol font.

Permanent fix requires ability to select different default font for the sm Math
editor module--that is open as bug 101174

Meanwhile, you can work around if you do a font replacment, e.g. OpenSymbol ->
Dejavu Sans (from Tools -> Options -> Fonts 'Apply replacement table') you will
get better alignment and sizing for the combining diacritics.

Dates on colum B are text not true dates, changes their format doesn't change
the content it remains as test not as true dates.

To convert to true dates use Menu/Data/Text to column, click on the column head

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131990] New: Macros: thisComponent.getCurrentController.getViewCursor.goUp() never returns false

2020-04-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131990

Bug ID: 131990
   Summary: Macros:
thisComponent.getCurrentController.getViewCursor.goUp(
) never returns false
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tomaspa...@centrum.cz

Description:
When writing macros in LO Basic, the method
thisComponent.getCurrentController.getViewCursor.goUp() used to return false
when it reached the top of the document.
Now it always returns true, which makes it impossible to use its return value
to detect when you get to the start of the document.

In effect, it breaks macros that used to work in LO 6.4.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the attached file with macros enabled
2. go to the macro editor and run the main macro
3. watch what happens

Actual Results:
the loop never ends

Expected Results:
the loop should end once the cursor gets to the top of the document

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
The macro in the attachment looks like this:

Sub Main
Dim canMove
Dim oCurs
Dim oDoc
oDoc = ThisComponent
oCur = oDoc.getCurrentController.getViewCursor()
canMove = oCur.goUp(1,false)
While canMove
canMove = oCur.goUp(1,false)
Wend

End Sub

3 things you can do:
1) Give a try to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps
then test again
2) Perhaps it may help you upgrade your Ubuntu. 16.04 is LTS from 2016,
meanwhile there's 18.04 from 2018 and 20.04 release is planned in the next
weeks.
3) Provide a minimal step by step process to reproduce this.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131989] New: toolbar(without any buttons in it) appears when add footnote in tabbed compact mode

2020-04-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131989

Bug ID: 131989
   Summary: toolbar(without any buttons in it) appears when add
footnote in tabbed compact mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: me_...@126.com

Problem description:
 In the Writer, on the tabbed compact mode, adding a footnote leads the toolbar
appears(but the toolbar is empty, there is no buttons in it). and I don't find
a way to hide the toolbar.
 It seems that it's not necessary to show the toolbar during add a footnote.

Steps to reproduce:
0. open writer
1. swith to tabbed compact mode (by View --> User Interace --> Tabbed Compat)
2. add a footnote (by References --> Footnote)
--> the toolbar is shown
3. close the toolbar (right click on the toolbar --> close toolbar), and add
another footnote (add a newline in the document and do as step 2)
--> the toolbar shows again

I had reset the libreoffice in safe mode. but the problem exists.

Is it a bug or a configuration problem(Is there a way to hide the toolbar)?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131988] New: Sometimes when clicking a button or menu-option in LO, I get "No such file or directory"

2020-04-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131988

Bug ID: 131988
   Summary: Sometimes when clicking a button or menu-option in LO,
I get "No such file or directory"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bart...@tushmail.com

Description:
In LibreOffice Writer I click "Help -> Send Feedback" and I get a popup box
with the message:

"/home/guest/https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2=en-US=TextDocument:
No such file or directory"

I tried this with :
- LO Version: 6.1.5.2 / Linux (Debian 10)
- LO Version: 6.4.2.2 / Linux (Debian 10)
- LO version: 6.3.5.2 (x64) / Windows 10

I had different results. Hoping to make things crystal clear for others, I'll
add a post per Operating System / LibreOffice version. (This means three extra
posts.)

I hope that for developers this may be easy to fix. Basic users however, get an
error message on the screen, which they think may be severe.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click: Help -> Send Feedback

Actual Results:
I get a popup box with the message:

"/home/guest/https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2=en-US=TextDocument:
No such file or directory"

Expected Results:
My browser should have started and go to the appropriate page online.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Maybe the part "/home/guest/" at the start of these URLs needs to be removed?

For an advanced user this shouldn't be a real problem. The user can copy and
paste the right ULR in the address bar of a browser.

For a "basic" user however this may be a problem. They may not know how to copy
and past the URL to a browser. They may also think that something severe
happened. Imagine that a basic user was looking for help to solve a problem,
then the basic user now may think he has two problems. If the user is an
employee in a company, then suddenly he or she can't finish the task he or she
was supposed to finish that day.

Having seen a few basic users, I hope we can avoid that they think that this is
a bug, and especially that they would loose confidence in LibreOffice.

Did it stop by itself or after upgrade?
- uncertain

Did you add spellcheck languages again?
- don't understand

What is your OS?
- Linux Mint 17.3 "Tessa"

Any reason to use old LO 6.0.7 when there's newer 6.3?
- Just removed previous LO installation and purged config files before
installing LO 6.4

Default language is US English but the computer keyboard is Swedish

Weirdness remains!   (see new attachments)

That's right, TooltipLabel can be used for this in WriterCommands.xcu[1] and,
as an added bonus, the keyboard binding is automatically appended to the tip.
Cool stuff!

I am confused about the wording to use for the tip. For the patch, I will
simply use 'To Previous/Next Page'.

Accelerators.xcu[2] contains default keyboard bindings. I think changing the
bindings should be done in a separate patch.

How do you upgrade, via OS or debs or PPA, which OS do you use?
Is this the same as bug Bug 91069, reported for Mac, or bug Bug 108151 -
System?
What does it mean that spellchecker doesn't work, does it lack language support
or it's turned off or what?
Please explain what you have in Tools-Extensions and Tools Options Languages
before and after upgrade.
Report is slim and thus wrong, without details that would help to understand.
If not reproducible, how do you expect to be resolved.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125162] SQL Syntax incorrect for LEFT / RIGHT JOIN when migrating from Base to Firebird

2020-04-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125162

--- Comment #18 from Robert Großkopf  ---
One hint for the problem reported in the bug:
The with { oj } have created by the GUI and HSQLDB. When I create a query
with RIGHT OUTER JOIN in the GUI with Firebird an LO 6.4.3.1 it will work well.
No brackets and no "oj" ist added.

Code in Firebird differs a little bit to code in HSQLDB. So I don't know if we
should call this a bug. The migration tool doesn't solve any of the problems
written down in the wiki. It must be solved by the user of the database.

You have to activate experimental functions. The migration tool has been set to
experimental, because it doesn't work without problems and internal Firebird
also isn't integrated into GUI as HSQLDB is.

You could find tips for the migrating to Firebird here:

https://keycode.info/

When using this site the following two keys are specified:

'*' (from above the '8' on a USA keyboard): 56, event.code=Digit8
'*' (from numpad on USA keyboard): 106, event.code=NumpadMultiply

FIX: ctrl+(code56;Digit8) needs to be bound to Calc "select data area" command.

ctrl+(code106;NumpadMultiply) is already bound to that command.

Both keyboard entries look the same to a user. They only differ due to computer
internal handling which is irrelevant to human user.

--- Comment #2 from cas...@jumplink.org ---
I am not typing ctrl+shift+* as you believe.
I am typing the correct key(s) of ctrl+*

You are misinterpreting my additional information whereby I explained the exact
keys I was pressing on a USA keyboard - ctrl+shift+8 - in order to result in
the correct combination of ctrl+* This was only for the sake of clarity and
completeness since there are different layouts worldwide.

I also confirmed the correct keys are being pressed by stating it works in
Excel, but not Calc.

With your reply, however, I was able to determine the specifics of the bug.

There are TWO '*' keys on SOME keyboards. There is the regular '*' (above the
numerica '8' on USA keyboards) and then (on some keyboards) there is an
additional on the keypad.

I do not use and do not have a keypad. Most laptops or portable devices or
touchscreen keyboards do not either. Therefore the vast majority of computing
devices in the world do not have nor use an numeric keypad. They only enter
the 'standard' keys on the main portion of they keyboard. On USA keyboard this
means they enter the '*' above the 8.

The bug therefore is this:
Calc is ONLY accepting and working with ctrl+* when the asterisk is coming from
a keypad. (I confirmed ths by pulling out an old keyboard and it DOES work in
Calc once I type ctrl-* using numpad). Calc however is not also accepting and
using '*' from the regular keyboard. This is the bug.

FIX: for the command of "select data area" which is bound to ctrl+* key, Calc
needs to be update to work with the following TWO keys:
ctrl+* (from regular keyboard; currently this binding does not exist)
ctrl+* (from number pad; this binding exists and works)

Excel works with both. And the are both 'humanly' equivalent. They are only
different to the computer and Calc because they have two different keycodes.

P.S.: To be 100% clear and not make misunderstandings here the exact formatting
including currency and needed for accounting style formatting:

Numbers should be formatted:
10 -> "10,00 €"
0 -> "-"
-10 -> either "(10,00 €)" or "-10,00 €" in red, as per user selection.

for US-style Dollars that would be:

10 -> "$10.00"
0 -> "-"
-10 -> either "($10.00)" or "-$10.00" in red, as per user selection.

2020-04-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63536

--- Comment #13 from t...@lautenbacher.biz ---
7 years passed and yet Calc is still left without the professional accounting
number format. I believe that this is a shame for Calc.

Numbers should be formated:
10 -> "10"
0 -> "-"
-10 -> either "(10)" or "-10" in red, as per user selection.

The magic about this format is the 0. Having huge accounting sheets full of
"0,00 €" makes e.g. the "1,00 €" in this only one cell almost invisible.

Having all cells filled with "-" instead "0,00 €", makes the "1,00 €" be very
distinct for the eye.

Can someone please be so kind to add this, is seems super easy to code.
