[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133358] New: Crash in: sw::GetParaPropsNode
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133358 Bug ID: 133358 Summary: Crash in: sw::GetParaPropsNode Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-34613b7f-8e76-476a-adc9-0a50c8d599dd. = I had a file opened and unsaved from the day before, with about 10 changes made. I undid each change to see what it was; then applied Redo to each change. I think it was when I reapplied the last change (Increasing the indent of a paragraph in the TOC I think?), Writer crashed. >From memory, the changes were (from oldest to newest): Insert Page break (manual) Insert Page break (manual) Change paragraph style Insert " " Insert " " Delete " " Indent paragraph Indent paragraph Outdent paragraph Something like that. I often find that a sequence of Undo and Redo crashes Writer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132573] PARAGRAPH STYLES: Writer process sleeping, won't save or exit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132573 Luke Kendall changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #3 from Luke Kendall --- I can't be certain, but because I don't often create new paragraph styles (trying to keep the document structure simple), I feel confident it was probably simply creating a new style based on an existing style called "Chapter Body". The new style would have been titled "ChapterBdy1st" and the only change was setting the First line indent from 14.4 pt to zero, and making the Next style "Chapter Body". Chapter Body definition: Indent Before 0, After 0, First line 14.4 Not Automatic. Spacing Above 0, Below 0, Don't add space unchecked. Line Spacing Single Register-true probably checked. Alignment Justified Las line Start Snap to grid checked (not sure why) Text-to-text Alignment Automatic Properties "Use superordinate..." (Really? I should reset to LTR) Text flow Hyphenation Automatically 2 chars at line end, at line begin, 0 Max no. of consecutive hyphens Breaks, Options, all unchecked The change in font style I refer to would have been a change from the default, to Family Georgia, Size 10.5pt. (I would be surprised if paragraph settings required a call for user input after changing the font style.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90064 --- Comment #7 from QA Administrators --- Dear Tobias Markus (:Tobbi), To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133356] New: [FILESAVE] Saving as .docx changes pagestyles & can't round-trip
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133356 Bug ID: 133356 Summary: [FILESAVE] Saving as .docx changes pagestyles & can't round-trip Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com Created attachment 161245 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=161245=edit Zip file with two short sample documents Please see the attached source document WTKDP-BadDocxGen.odt and the bad .docx file generated by Save As from: Version: 6.4.3.2 Build ID: 747b5d0ebf89f41c860ec2a39efd7cb15b54f2d8 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: x11; Locale: en-GB (en_AU.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded This relates to a separate bug, 14, now fixed I believe for 6.5. The additional aspects seem to be separate bugs, so I'm filing this bug report. I believe that because page styles are important, when Writer produces a .docx it should produce a file that when it reads it back in, should be basically the same. Even if that requires some additional OOo-only XML attributes need to be written into the file that only Writer knows how to interpret, to preserve the information. I also believe the page styles set should be preserved. I feel that if my document only uses four page styles, then the .docx should be laid out using those four styles, and when read back in to Writer, it should recreate those same four styles with the same dimensions and properties. Instead, saving to .docx generates more page styles than are used, as well as making unexpected changes to the page layouts. Some examples: 1) All my page sizes are set to the same dimension, 360 x 576 pts (for a 5"x8" book). When converted, all converted page sizes are 360 x 575 pts. 2) Most pages are set with margins Inner, Outer, Top, Bottom: 66 36 24 21 In the .docx these are mostly changed to: 66 36 0 0 3) Pages with footers in the original are set with Spacing 14.2pt and Height 14.2 pt, and dynamic spacing and autofit height off. In the converted .docx, these are changed to Spacing 21.1pt and Height 2.9 pt, and dynamic spacing and autofit height ON. 4) I have a no-header-or-footer style for the first page of a chapter. These pages generally convert across incorrectly and gain a header and footer. However, even the page styles that have no header or footer visible, appear in the Manage Styles with Header and Footer turned ON I don't understand why the conversion doesn't embed enough information so that when writer's .docx is read back by Writer, the page styles are preserved - both the settings, and the names, and the number. In my book, I have just 4 page styles defined and used. After saving to .docx and reopening, not only are all the page styles altered, but there are now 149 plus the default style. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126409] Notarize LibreOffice builds so that it launches without warnings on macOS 10.15 Catalina
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126409 --- Comment #50 from Christian Lohmaier --- (In reply to eisa01 from comment #49) > Created attachment 161186 [details] > Failed code sign due to Python framework Creation of compiled py files (pyc) is also something that only happens after LO was launched. So similar to the languagepack installation it is a post-gatekeeper modification of the .app bundle. Not nice, for sure, but unrelated to gatekeeper/notarization when doing the first-launch verification by macOS a .app copied from the dmg to your local disk before launching it should verify: cloph@Catalina-Mac-mini Desktop % spctl -vvv --assess --type exec LibreOffice.app/ LibreOffice.app/: accepted source=Notarized Developer ID origin=Developer ID Application: The Document Foundation (7P5S3ZLCN7) cloph@Catalina-Mac-mini Desktop % codesign --verify --deep --verbose LibreOffice.app/ LibreOffice.app/: valid on disk LibreOffice.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirement cloph@Catalina-Mac-mini Desktop % (and launching it for the first time should show the dialog with the "..downloaded from... checked by apple for malware and none was found" dialog.) After having launched LO (or more specifically: doing something that triggers initialization of python, i.e. opening/creating a writer document → some writing aids use python → python creates it pyc files) I can confirm the python files messing up the integrity on disk, but as said: that is after LO was already green-lit by gatekeeper. # stapling ### as for stapling: In LO's case: the thing you download is stapled, not just the contents, so the dmg has the notarization-staple-info for the app assigned to it. ### > Opening the app for the first time does not show a "verify" progress bar as > LO does, likely because the Firefox app is too small/the scanning is fast enough to not make it trigger a dialog for that. If you mean verify progress when opening the dmg: that happens for firefox as well/any dmg, but that is just checksum based verification of the dmg for download errors. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

They are all scrunched together. I want them to look nice, and I don't want to turn them vertical and 6pt font. An option that is available in other graphing software is instead of putting a label on every single data point, I can choose to skip every other one or put in an integer value to choose how many are skipped. Just in case this doesn't make sense, I'm adding a visual: Current Setup when add data points -- Labels: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ... Data Points: X X X X X X X X ... My suggestion -- create new integer parameter "skip n data points" Example: if n = 2 Labels: 1 4 7 ... Data Points X X X X X X X X ... Not an urgent thing but would be nice. I attached a little project I was working on to see if I could make a nice dashboard and you will be able to see from the graph what I mean. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133350] New: Cannot click a drop-down button when the control is on the overflow pop-up.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133350 Bug ID: 133350 Summary: Cannot click a drop-down button when the control is on the overflow pop-up. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: typing...@gmail.com Description: If I move the second row of the toolbar to the right side of the first row, depending on the monitor size, part of the right toolbar cannot be shown and an overflow indicator (>>) is displayed. If I click it, a pop-up window appears that contain the items of the second row, things like the font names or the font sizes. But I cannot click the drop-down button. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Move the second row of the toolbar to the right side of the first row. 2. Reduce the width of the window, so that the font size drop-down list will be in the overflow window (>>). 3. Try to click the drop-down button of the font size list. Actual Results: The overflow window disappears. Expected Results: Font size drop-down menu will be shown. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: I tried the same thing on Linux (6.4.3.2), and this problem did not exist on Linux. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133334] [FILESAVE] Saving as .docx generates spurious page breaks

After saving to > .docx and reopening, not only are all the page styles altered, but there are > now 149 plus the default style. Thanks for nice description.. Please create a new report for every issue you encounter; a lot of work, but worth it. Every problem has a different cause an needs an different solution; different developers etc.. And QA will lose track if other bugs are hidden under the title page breaks :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124832] NVDA does not read the (original) cell range of a merged cell
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124832 --- Comment #3 from Adriani90 --- I am an NVDA user, using NVDA 2020.1 and Libre Office 6.4.4.2, this issue is reproducible. The same behavior is also in Open Office Calc 4.1.7. Would be very appreciated to see some improvements in Libreoffice regarding to accessibility in general, including also reporting of merged cells. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100086 --- Comment #14 from Adriani90 --- Dear Libre office team, Testing with Libre Office 7.4.4.2 and Open Office 4.1.7, in both cases the sellected cell range is not reported. The expected behavior when pressing shift+arrow keys is to report the sellected cell range (i.e. a1 through a3 when pressing shift+down arrow key two times).
