[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133902] I can no longer open Excel files.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133902 --- Comment #1 from Babbles --- I was suspicious of .xls(97-2003 format) files. But this doesn't seem to matter. I can open it in xls files as well. Some files cannot be opened even in xlsx files. The only thing that's not a problem is a file created by Calc itself. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133719] Image Properties: display original filename and path
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133719 --- Comment #2 from dihan.wijewickr...@gmail.com --- I got that menu sequence by mouse Right-Clicking on Image in Writer document: R-Click on Image>Properties>Options>Name And Yes, the idea is to add the original filename and perhaps local file path by default (may need to add a field for filepath). I think the original name is more important – because in my use case – I can use that to search locally for the original file. The original filepath would also be useful, obviously as long as the original file was not subsequently moved. If this was included then the term "Original filepath" should be used with the understanding that tracking the movement of files on the local system is the User's responsibility and that this is a timestamp of the file location at the time of insertion into the document only. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108442 --- Comment #3 from QA Administrators --- Dear Telesto, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133919] New: Import of Excel format data transfer file rounds time incorrectly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133919 Bug ID: 133919 Summary: Import of Excel format data transfer file rounds time incorrectly Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: i...@huntsgrove.ie Description: I am importing a spread sheet file in Excel format from an Android application, and on some fields, the time captured by Calc is formatting incorrectly, and it seems to be a rounding issue with the conversion. As an example, a time of 13:00, which calidates correctly in the Android device is converted by Calc into 12:59:59, and it would seem that the value in the cell is effectively 15:59:59.9, but I cannot find a way to get it correctly rounded in Calc. The problem is that if the time is calculated using HH:MM format, the time is shown as 12:59, and then when used to calculate the elapsed time, it is showing the correct elapsed time, but due to the rounding error, it appears to be wrong by 1 minute due to the rounding issue. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Excel format data file transferred from Android device 2.Review data sent 3.See rounding errors on some fields Actual Results: Times imported can vary and cause apparent issues with calculated times shown in spreadsheet Expected Results: Time that should be displayed as (eg) 13:00 is displayed as 12:59, but time difference calculation has used 13:00, as the raw value appears to be 12:59:59.9, Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: If needed, can provide a data file that shows this in a number of records, but I don't have enough information about the internal file structure to be sure of the diagnosis of the error. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133918 Bug ID: 133918 Summary: FORMATTING, UI: Typing the name of a language in the Font tab of the Character style dialog does not work correctly sometimes Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: andvaran...@gmail.com Description: I'm using LibreOffice 6.4.3.2 (latest Ubuntu stable version) in the Spanish/Spain (es-ES) locale and finding a very strange bug when changing language. I'll try to be as clear as possible in the description. To change language you have to open the Character dialog in the Font tab (hopefully I'm guessing the names right), then there's a combobox where you can select the language. It used to be that one could write in the first few letters of the desired language, and it would autocomplete to the first matching language in the list. For the most part, it still works, but there is a catch. If you write "in" as the first two letters, it gets changed to "id" for some reason. Since English is written "Inglés" in Spanish, this is rather annoying. The change to "id" happens regardless of case. By experimenting I have found another weird change - "iw" gets changed to "he". In practical terms, this means that you can't pick English as a language when using the Spanish locale by using the keyboard to search the list. It works OK when using the mouse, though. This is a fairly recent regression (probably on the update from Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to 20.04). I have reproduced the bug by restarting in safe mode, as well as using LC_ALL=C to reset LO to the default English locale. The same substitutions happen. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select some text 2. Right click > Character > Font tab and focus the language selector 3. Type "IN" or "IW" Actual Results: The "IN"/"IW" input gets changed to "id"/"he" respectively Expected Results: The "IN"/"IW" input remains and auto-selects the first matching language Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Versión: 6.4.3.2 Id. de compilación: 1:6.4.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 Subprocs. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133913] New: Passing a constant to a Basic function changes variant parameter type to integer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133913 Bug ID: 133913 Summary: Passing a constant to a Basic function changes variant parameter type to integer Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.0.beta1+ Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tomaspa...@centrum.cz Created attachment 161901 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=161901=edit A test case for broken parameter-type inference When a Basic function has a parameter without a specified type, its type is automatically set to variant. However, passing an integer constant as the value of such parameter makes its type integer rather than variant/integer. This is a change in LO 7.0 beta1 compared to LO 6.4 and I'm pretty sure its a bug. I'm reporting it, because it actually broke some macros I use in production. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120412 --- Comment #20 from Phil Krylov --- (In reply to László Németh from comment #19) The scripts I know of do not check the number. They _set_ CharEscapement of a text portion or a character style to 101 or -101 to get automatic super/subscript escapement, e.g.: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?p=425333#p425333 . There is also https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/alternative-dialog-find-replace-for-writer which uses the constants as well. The best solution IMHO would be to export the constant to UNO or otherwise provide a way to set automatic super/subscript escapement _and_ to check if it's set to automatic. So the number of sections isn't a problem. I guess it would have to be proven that MS Word can produce a similar layout using sections. I wouldn't be surprised if it is impossible for MSO to have a section in a column. [I just tried with Word 2003, and a continuous section break takes me out of the column - just like LO did.] So this looks like a limitation of using MS formats. I'd say NOTABUG, although it could be argued that LO shouldn't supply a template design that exports to other formats so poorly - and so take the bug report in that direction. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
