[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 39936] UI: Right Click on Row/Column -> Insert Copied Cells... (paste + shift cells in one click)

2020-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39936

--- Comment #54 from wolfgang-bec...@online.de ---
I think, this basic function is missing in LibO. See also comment
"https://superuser.com/questions/663629/move-rows-with-the-keyboard-in-calc;.
The use of "Paste Special" with option "Shift cells down" will not delete
source cells like it does the corresponding Excel function "Insert Cut cells".
It's a tragedy - since 2011 a large number of up to 320 updates of LibO has
been released, but there was no progress in implementing this basic feature.
LibO has a problem with usability!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133884] Translation (into Spanish) is missing from a Contextual Menu.

2020-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133884

Complementing the proposal made in my previous comment, I want to explain that
a new button to invoke the menu that allows us to change text to Upper or Lower
Case, in the User Interface for LibreOffice Writer and Impress, should be
located in the Toolbar of " Format "in the old interface, and in the Toolbar
corresponding to the Home tab in the new User Interface with tabs.

I am very aware that the subject of my last comments is not related to this Bug
(133884), which has already been fixed to be solved in LO 6.4.5 and 7.0 in
Spanish. For this reason I ask which email can I write to send these
improvement proposals? Or, Mr. Julien Nabet, do you want to propose these
improvements to the LibreOffice development team? This would be of great
benefit to the LO user community.

Dear bugs,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133884] Translation (into Spanish) is missing from a Contextual Menu.

2020-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133884

I want to propose some small improvements in the LibreOffice Writer interface,
improvements that were implemented many years ago in other office suites such
as: WPS Office Writer (from Kingsoft ), FreeOffice TextMaker (from SoftMaker),
also including the Microsoft application (Word). I am talking, first of all,
about the need to add, in the LibreOffice Writer interface, a new button to
call the Contextual Menu of Change of Uppercase and Lowercase letters. Also, I
want to refer to the need to improve the basic process to insert the Page
Number in a text document in Writer, a process that is very developed and
automated in the applications that I mentioned previously, while in LibreOffice
Writer the function of inserting the Page Number does not have an automated
process available where We, the users, can indicate to the text processor where
to fix the page number, in the Header or in the Footer, aligned to the left,
center or right, as in all other modern office suites. This is understandable
in OpenOffice because they stopped evolving in the last 10 years, but
LibreOffice should already make the difference with them in this theme. I
consider these shortcomings are one of the few characteristics that LibreOffice
does not have to facilitate working with text documents at professional and
academic levels. In everything else the development is excellent.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133946] New: LO Writer gets confused with tables with text in the middle when there's page breaks

2020-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133946

Bug ID: 133946
Summary: LO Writer gets confused with tables with text in the
middle when there's page breaks
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: albert...@tutamail.com

Description:
I asked this here:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/249817/writer-how-to-avoid-this-the-text-of-the-left-cell-is-supposed-to-appear-vertically-in-the-middle-but-if-theres-a-page-break-it-appears-this-way/
For the left picture if I click the text, it goes right to its place but with
all of these tables, I can't be checking everything all the time and it's an
important work, so I want the PDF to look as it's supposed to.

This doesn't happen with the right picture though

Here's a couple of screenshots (the black rectangle is a page break)

Here's a sample:
[sample.odt](https://ask.libreoffice.org/upfiles/15919560978461876.odt)

OS: GNU/Linux Manjaro 20.0.3
DE: KDE 5.70.0 / Plasma 5.18.5
LibreOffice 6.4.4.2 40(Build:2)

[image description](https://ask.libreoffice.org/upfiles/15919117916007376.png)

Someone told me that my tables have a "complex" structure: cells in the first
column are merged as their contents are common to several rows in the other
columns. All cells have content vertically centered.

In Table>Properties, we see that the tables can split across several pages
(necessary because the tables span several pages) and rows can also split.

This is usually fine, but here the merged cells in the first column introduce a
disturbance. When a page break cause a row split, Writer gets confused about
how spread first column text. It seems to compute correctly the amount of text
is the split parts of the cell but is lost when it comes to position the text:
top or centered in the part before the break and seemingly full centering space
in the part after the break as if the cell has not been split with the result
of clipping overflow text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create big tables with several rows
2. For rows that appear in several pages, make them go vertical and
horizontally aligned

Actual Results:
Text isn't vertically aligned: sometimes it goes up, sometimes down and even
overlapping other cells.

Expected Results:
Text isn't misaligned.

When to an inserted image is assigned a shadow "right + bottom" it is shown not
correctly: The shadow on the right is missing.
The shadow is shown correctly when it is located top + right, top + left or
bottom + left.

Reproduce the problem:
- File -> Writer text document
- Insert -> Image -> choose any image file from computer to insert it into the
text document
- right click on the inserted image -> Properties -> Tab "Border"
- select "shadow to the right and to the bottom" -> OK

I confirm the problem is not seen on Windows or Linux (with a fresh master

linquan: if you want to move this forward, you can try bibisecting:

Based on Alex's assessment, you would use the repository bibisect-macosx-64-5.3
from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bibisect/macOS#Versions

If you want an introduction to bibisecting, you can use this tutorial:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bibisect/Bibisecting_tutorial

Note that the repositories take many gigabytes of space and take some hours to
clone.

It's a long discussion, and perhaps you have not read through all comments, but
I have provided an extension which replaces the old extension which no longer
works because of some changes in LibO which have not been reflected in the old
extension. It seems that the author is no longer to be found or not replying.
You can find the link to the new extension "DocumentTemplateChanger" in comment
#68. Unfortunately it seems not possible to add a link to the new extension in
the old one, because one has to be the author of that to add text.

The checkbox may not be real crisp, but is certainly not pixelated.

Another steps to reproduce:

1. Open Writer
2. Paste or type example text:

Lorem ipsum. Vestibulum

3. Copy phrase `Lorem lorem` from the text.
4. Set cursor begin of the document
5. Open Spell checker (F7).
6. Press `Correct` button.
7. Press `Paste` button in dialog.
8. Press `Correct` button.
9. Press `Correct` button.
10. Press `Paste` button in dialog.
11. Press `Undo` button in the dialog.
12. Press `Undo` button in the dialog.
13. Press `Undo` button in the dialog (wait a moment, this one will crash it)

I think the count of corrections is wrong, thus `undo` button is still
activated.

2020-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133941

Bug ID: 133941
Summary: Start Certificate Manager in Windows should start
certificates system store
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: framework
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gti...@gmail.com

In Windows 7 LO uses Windows certificates system store (which makes sense) to
sign ODF and PDF.
But with Start Certificate Manager it starts Kleopatra (which then doesn't make
sense).
Start Certificate Manager should start Certificates (Certmgr.msc), a Microsoft
Management Console (MMC) snap-in.

So:

1) I've switched back to "Use openGL for all rendering" and the bug is back

2) I have a dell xps 15" 9570 with two graphic cards :

a)intel UHD 630 with driver version 26.20.100.7262 more info here
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=051np=wt64a=xps-15-9570-laptop
. The driver is the last one advised by the dell update utilityand on the dell
site.
Note that the device manager in windows 10 talks about intel uhd 630 also the
intel control graphic panel, but the dell site talks about the intel uhd 620
...
Also I can't find any 26.20.100.7262 driver on the intel site !

b) nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti max-design with the last driver advised by nvidia
I 've installed this morning after the bug appeared.

I don't know which card is in use with libreoffice (maybe point 4) answers!)

3) I've renamed my profile, with opengl rendering on, the issue is still here.

4) My cache\opengl_device content :
DriverVersion: 26.20.100.7262
DriverDate: 9-25-2019
DeviceID: PCI\VEN_8086_3E9B_087C1028_00

5) back to my old profile and unckecking opengl for all rendering

I don't think so. It doesn't export selected cell, but all cells. And that's
why we have "Selection".

Need better steps to reproduce and a sample document.

How did this problem manifest? The only thing is we have a 30 MB limit for

I tried to submit an attachment and would have submitted three altogether, but
apparently the documentfoundation.org server for attachments has a protocol
mismatch with Firefox, Web (that's the name of a browser), and Chromium.
Basically, they would have shown the views in Okular (which was OK) and Evince
(which was OK) and some of the paper outputs (which were not OK). Hopefully,

Status: UNCONFIRMED

I am not a programmer, but I have used LibreOffice for a long time. The
Unformatted Paste option always worked on Windows 7. It does not always work in
the Windows 10 versions. If I copy from an LibreOffice document, the function
always works. If I copy from another source, it may or may not work. The
regular paste function always works. So if I attempt to use Unformatted paste
and it fails, I con do a regular paste, copy that, delete it, then do an
unformatted paste - that seems to always work, but what an inconvenience!

Actual Results:
Unformatted paste from some sources doesn't work

Expected Results:
I expect the text to be inserted with whatever formatting is current in the
document

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It should have pasted the text into the document with whatever formatting is
current at that spot in the document
