[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135119] New: LO7.0 RC2: Crash loop (Writer) - Python/Lightproof related?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135119 Bug ID: 135119 Summary: LO7.0 RC2: Crash loop (Writer) - Python/Lightproof related? Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.1 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bugzilla@mkr.email Description: When I start Writer of LO7.0 RC2, I get a crash loop. Draw, Calc and Impress don't crash at start. It did not help, that I restarted LO in safe mode (enabled "reset user profile" and "disable hardware acceleration"). When I start another LO app, like Draw, open the options, change the UI language and restart, I also get a crash. Because LO does not restart Draw. It always launches Writer at the restart (which will crash). I started SWriter.exe with Sandboxie. Writer crashed and I saved the logs from sandboxie in a RAR. The logs contain Phyton scripts. The foldernames of the log contain the names NVIDIA, Phython and Lightproof. I will attach the file. Sometimes after a crash I get a loop at the start of LO. There is the LO logo and once the black progress bar below is full, the bar fills again (a loop, once a second). Then I have to kill soffice.bin with the task manager. The info below the LO logo says in German "Sources of extensions are checked". Sandboxie's usage csv logged two things: Document Type;Command;Count TextDocument;.uno:UpdateInputFields;1 SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: soffice.bin [DefaultBox] SBIE2101 OpenProcess (C022) access=001F initialized=1 SBIE2101 OpenProcess (C022) access=001F initialized=1 There are some reports of my crashes https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/c4412838-7a02-4d2f-b3d1-585f7b58faaf https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/b4df7f0b-827f-4ed0-ad94-9177d9ab5c29 https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/c7cde305-1ca9-4f5f-a383-8172cd470b39 https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/d58bec35-df0d-4c8f-b516-511c6f55c291 https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/8e1f275d-919d-42c3-8540-e2ca72f9c5b1 Steps to Reproduce: 1. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135103] Decimal precision fail in addition
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135103 --- Comment #2 from Michael Warner --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #1) > https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq/Calc/Accuracy I understand the limitations of IEEE754, and why this is a frequently asked question. That said, one could argue that it would be more user friendly if the formatting of a cell containing an equation (and the sum in the corner) defaulted to the number of decimal places shown to the minimum (or maximum) number of decimal places entered in any referenced cell containing a number. In the example provided, it just doesn't make sense to display a result to 14 places when at most 2 are provided. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124800 --- Comment #15 from Army_bloodcore --- Okay, lets go somewhere deeper than now. I just tried to mark furigana the sample of text, and I get next. Furigana borders is wrong. Japanese texts contains 3 type of text: 1) Hiragana (furigana NOT required) 2) Katakana (furigana NOT required) 3) Kanji (furigana REQUIRED). True borders is borders between kanji and hiragana and kanji and katakana, if you meet 2 or more kanji, this is one word and this is one furigana must be there. 繰り返します - here must be 2 furiganas. 水力工事 - there must be 1 furigana. システム - there must be 0 furiganas. Just the StarSymbol font name is not being applied: STR for attached document 1. new Writer document 2. insert a draw Text box on document 3. use Special character dialog and select OpenSymbol font 4. enter a string of OpenSymbol glyphs via Special Character dialog 5. change anchor to page and drag aside 6. Ctrl+C select the string in the Draw text box 7. paste into a paragraph with Ctrl+V -- what is pasted? 8. paste special into a paragraph with Ctrl+Shift+V and select unformatted -- what is pasted? 9. new paragraph, change its font to OpenSymbol 10. Ctrl+C copy string from Draw text box 11. Ctrl+V paste into the paragraph with OpenSymbol font -- what is pasted? 13. Ctrl+Shift+V paste special as "unformatted text" -- what is pasted? At some point the labeling of the pasted OpenSymbol text string as StarSymbol was removed--but the handling of OpenSymbol and mapping of the Unicode to PUA was not corrected. Using Styles Inspector, putting cursor to first (normal) part of first paragraph shows exactly the same data as putting the cursor to bold parts of the second paragraph. That is because the direct properties that are set on paragraph level are not shown. They must be shown after paragraph styles, before character styles. To get them, we need to obtain a reference to the paragraph (also a XTextRange) that is parent to current XTextRange, and query its direct properties the same way as we do for XTextRange. To obtain the paragraph reference, query css::container::XEnumerationAccess from the xRange; then get enumeration, and use its first element. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Not sure how I should read this. The inspector should indeed not change anything. The idea of mine is a quick way to open the style dialog. So technically the Inspector changing nothing. Of course there still room for objection :-). However it's but unpractical to show the style name, switching to style tab & searching for the style name in question.. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135106] Direct Formatting should be empty by default in Inspector
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135106 --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- Not so sure. There are direct properties that may be actually hidden: I mean paragraph style and character style. They may be hidden simply because they are shown in a different way - in respective sections. But about others - well, the whole idea around the styles inspector was to provide a low-level, detailed view into what's going on under the cover. This view might allow filtering, and it's reasonable to provide useful view modes; but it's unreasonable to try to hide the reality when it turns out to be different from expectations. E.g., Rsid is necessarily a direct property of a text (applied for change tracking and comparison purposes); where input language is taken into account (Windows), the text language will be the direct property without any explicit user formatting... and we need to consider the properties shown here one by one, to see why would we hide them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
