[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137843] Calc cell update disfunction
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137843 --- Comment #4 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to zeffur from comment #3) > If this bug has been resolved, what was the fix & how & when can I apply it? As seen on the bug 137248 page (which is the main bug, duplicate of which this one is marked), it was resolved in versions 7.1.0 and 7.0.3 ("target" in whiteboard, and commit notifications in comments); and the mentioned commit notifications link to the code changes that you may check for "what was the fix". The release plan [1], together with the target version information in the bug, will help to answer the "when can I apply it". The "how" part is described on the related Get Help / Installation Instructions / Windows [2], which is available as "How do I install LibreOffice?" link on download page [3]. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123265 --- Comment #58 from hellwoodfire --- Just tested the prerelease version of 7.0.3 on Linux Mint, and I can confirm that it's fixed. Thank you so much to Maxim Monastirsky and everyone who took the time to really understand the problem. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I really appreciate to have my icons back in the menus on GTK3. And I think many other people will also appreciate. It's awesome! Working without the icon in the menus was terribly difficult. THANK YOU AGAIN! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137843 Bug ID: 137843 Summary: Calc cell update disfunction Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.2 rc Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: zef...@gmail.com Description: Relative cells don't auto update properly when the source cell is changed. To replicate the problem do the following: 1. Enter 1 into cell A1 2. Pull down the lower right corner of cell A1 to do a series fill to fill 10 cells. 3. Enter 120 in cell B1. Enter =b1 in cell B3. 4. Copy cell B3 & paste it into cells B4 through B10 5. Enter =b1/a1 in cell C1 6. Copy cell C1 & paste it into cells C2 through C10 7. Change the value in B1 to 125 & press enter key Notice cells B2 & B3 will only be updated to 125. Cells B4 through B10 will not get auto updated as they should. Also notice, that the caluation results of cells C4 through C10 are also not updated because cells B4 through B10 were not updated. Why is that auto update capability not working in the spreadsheet? It makes me seriously consider whether or not more complex spreadsheets are not providing me with accurate results when I make changes to input cells. Can you fix this? Thanks, D Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter 1 into cell A1 2. Pull down the lower right corner of cell A1 to do a series fill to fill 10 cells. 3. Enter 120 in cell B1. Enter =b1 in cell B3. 4. Also notice, that the caluation results of cells C4 through C10 are also not updated because cells B4 through B10 were not updated. Actual Results: Notice cells B2 & B3 will only be updated to 125. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137841 Bug ID: 137841 Summary: Sluggishness in "web view" mode with a long document Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ckore...@atlanticbb.net Description: On a new Fedora 33 with LO 7.0.2, I opened a 52000-word .odt document in Web View and noticed that I could easily out-type the new Writer. Scrolling was also slow and chunky, especially when scrolling past graphics. (The speed with a small document was normal.) I tried the 6.4.7 version from libreoffice.org, and confirmed that it is much more responsive. I also tried the 7.0.2 version from libreoffice.org and confirmed that it was slow (although perhaps not quite as slow as the Fedora 33 7.0.2). It looks like something's wrong with Web View in LO7. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a long (5-word, with graphics) document in Writer 2. Jump to the end of the document 3. Type Actual Results: Characters appear with a noticeable delay, in clusters Expected Results: Characters appear without a noticeable delay, one per keystroke, as is the case with LO 6.4.7 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: This was found on Fedora 33 running on VirtualBox 6.16 on a Windows 10 host. I tried the Fedora 33 version of 7.0.2 with the switch to start in "safe mode", but it showed the same sluggish behavior. I'm not sure if OpenGL was enabled. "Use hardware acceleration" is checked, which I suspect means it was. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Specific resulting LO Draw objects get scattered over canvas (anchoring issues by object type), but the core 'break' seems functional. So, issue here remains the lack of an Alpha channel with the inserted image rendered to canvas as BMP raster meta, and the fixed ppi default at 96ppi of that raster. And, it would be nice if the pdfium optionally supported insertion as vector directly. I stubled over a different version of the same document, and we can use it to mess up more rows. Here is how to get multiple misaligned rows: 1. Download "Bugged .odt-File " and open it. The "10" and the "SA, Studenten; Ein Gespräch." should be misaligned. 2. Now slowly delete the footnote. As more and more table-rows move to the first page, they too start being misaligned. WHAT THIS MEANS: 1. It's not the page-break that keeps those rows stuck in the vertically misaligned position. If you save the document and reopen, all 3 rows will still be misaligned, not just the first one. 2. The page-break may however trigger that change in the first place. However, I don't think it's a bug, the only pb is "p" in French UI is associated with 2 entries: - Repère de texte - Numéro de page When launching Writer, after an Alt-i which will open the "Insertion" menu, if you type "p", it will select "Repère de texte" but won't open the dialog, you must type too "Enter" key. If you type again "p", "Numéro de page" will be selected, if you type again "p", "Repère de texte" will be selected again, and so on... To fix the pb, it'd need to redistribute the shortcuts but it's not that simple since the menu is quite long and there are only 6 different letters for "Repère de texte". [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108726] inserted PDF images lose transparency in 5.4
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108726 --- Comment #16 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- To clarify, this bug is about /import/ of PDF into LibO, not /export/ from LibO. To get the issue relevance it is better to first make an example that does not use PDF images. Suppose that you are preparing a slide and you have a red background or some background objects. If you insert on it a bitmap image with some lines on a transparent background, you will see just those lines on the background elements of the slides. However if you insert an image with a non-transparent background (e.g. white), your slide will look ugly, because you'll get a big white box with the lines overlapped covering your slide background or your background objects. Same goes with PDF, but with some difference because this is a vector format. Rather than having a transparent background, in PDF you typically have no background at all, you just have the data about the foreground objects (e.g. the lines). When you import a PDF image with some lines and no background into a slide with a red background or some background elements, you expect to see just the lines on the background, not a big white box with the lines covering all the background elements. The problem is in the way in which recent LibO treats PDF by first transforming it into a bitmap for visualization. When the PDF has no background, rather than creating a bitmap with a transparent background, a bitmap with a white non-transparent background is created. And thus you get the ugly white boxes hiding the background elements. There are many ways to check if a PDF image has a background or not. I think that LibO itself is OK to make the test: (i) take the PDF file (say the demo PDF file attached to this bug) and /open/ it with LibO, rather than /importing it as an image/ (e.g., launch 'libreoffice demo.pdf'); (ii) go to Page->Properties and set all the margins to 0 (LibO may complain a little, but do not worry about it) (iii) again in Page->Properties set a solid background color (e.g., red). If you see that color in the image, then the image has no background. In fact, the LibO page background that is behind the image can "pass through". Conversely, if the PDF image has a background you will see that background and the LibO page background will not pass through. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131392] Introduce option to "Save URLs relative to file system" for templates
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131392 --- Comment #17 from John --- (In reply to John from comment #15) > I do not understand it Actually, I _do_ understand. I just was very pissed off. What I _really_ wanted to say is that: 1. Most people (including myself) have "Save URLs relative to file system" option enabled. This is OK. Some people disable it. This is OK too. 2. At least for the first group of users, the current way of how the inheriting works, leads, in some cases, to unexpected and unwanted things. For example, you saved a document to your desktop on drive C, then you moved it on drive D, and from this point, the program stops to notify you about inconsistencies between a template and a document based on it. It is obvious that in 99% cases we want the absolute path to the template -- regardless of whether "Save URLs relative to file system" option is enabled (which is the default and my personal preference) or disabled. > This is crazy. What I _really_ wanted to say is that this is an additional pitfall for a user. I think it should be fixed in one of the following ways: a) When you create a document from a template by double-clicking it in file manager, the inheriting should be the same as in the case when you create a document from this template using File > New > Templates. b) Or, when you double click a template in file manager and template is opened, there should be a message that you should not use it in such a way. The message should inform the user that it is much safer to copy this template into the directory specified in Tools > Option > LibreOffice > Paths > Templates, and then used using File > New > Templates c) Or, such a use should be somehow disabled. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78916] Custom page size missing from print dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78916 geronto...@byom.de changed: What|Removed |Added OS|All |Linux (All) Hardware|All |x86-64 (AMD64) --- Comment #36 from geronto...@byom.de --- Build ID: 1:6.4.6-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 1. I can use "File" > "New" > "Labels" to create a new label. 2. In "Format" > "Page Style" the values under "Paper Format" change properly to fit my label type. 3. But afterwards, I *cannot* print the labels, because "File" > "Print..." does not let me specify custom paper size values anywhere in the dialogue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
