https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97341 --- Comment #15 from Gauthier --- I'd say that this feature is very important! And overall the comment function is outdated (and looks outdated too). Since collaboration on docs has become very normal, I thin it should be a priority for LLO to address the redesign of it. A couple of things for e.g. - Resizing the width of the column (this bug) - Making it easier and more dynamic to select comments in a doc so it's more aligned with where the comment relates to in the text (with lots of comments it's currently difficult sometimes to find / select the comment) Inspiration from google docs (and hell I do not support Gdocs) on the UI for comments wouldn't be a bad thing I think -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It looks like a very useful tool for advanced users. Description: Most LibreOffice styles offer three separate font choices, for western text, Asian text (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), and complex layout text. It seems that the new style inspector, introduced in 7.1, only supports western text and complext layout text, but ignores Asian text. Steps to produce: 1. Make sure "Asian" checkbox is selected in Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages > Default Languages for Documents; 2. Open style inspector sidebar for a new blank document in Writer, expand the "Default Paragraph Style" tree; 3. Observe that properties like "Char Font Char Set" and "Char Font Name" are displayed for the western text, "Char Font Char Set Complex" and "Char Font Name Complex" etc. are displayed for complex layout text, but nothing for Asian text. My LO version is 7.1.0 alpha1: Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha1 (x64) Build ID: 987671387712c4f9061d6216ff2f001a7bb9e57b CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); UI: en-US Calc: threaded P.S.: It may be also worth discussion to not show / gray out Asian text and complex layout text related properties when they are disabled. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137883 Bug ID: 137883 Summary: Confusing terminology for DOCX save (Transitional versus Word 2007-365) Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl Description: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/273402/save-as-office-open-xml-text/ The LO Save As dialog shows for saving an Microsoft OOXML document either "Office Open XML Text (Transitional) (.docx)" or the more commonly used "Word 2007-365 (.docx)". Assuming the "Word 2007-365 (.docx)" is a Transitional "formatted" document "compatible" with what MS Office produces I would think the "Office Open XML Text (Transitional) (.docx)" should actually be the Strick format and for that say "Office Open XML Text (Strict) (.docx)". That would be in line with the MS Office Save As options where the Strict format is also refereed to as "Office Open XML-document (Strict) (.docx)"" vs Transitional "Word Document (*.docx)".
