https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137491 --- Comment #8 from Telesto --- (In reply to Luke Kendall from comment #7) > I don't see how this issue relates in any way to the bugs Dieter noted, > 60418 or 61558. It's unrelated to bug 60418 and bug 61558, IMHO. If though this file combines quite a lot of evil :-) 500 pages Many comments in document Comments visible in screen (not hidden) Track & Changes enabled Track & Changes visible Multipage view Maybe even GTK3 being somehow included in this... So summary -> File open speed slowed down with 7.1. For me 4.4.7.2 and 5.3 pretty fast. 6.0 appears to be slower already.. so introduced over time -> Scrolling the document being very slow single page with changes + comments hidden in 7.1 and in 6.0. Scrolling being snappier in 5.3.. but still showing tearing.. even better in 5.2 (Text Layout Engine?) -> Scrolling using quite bunch of CPU usage even in 5.2 and 5.0 (more compared to what I would expect) with hidden changes and comments - Showing changes makes 5.2 slower. Subtle impression 5.0 being faster with changes shown. Showing changes + comments unusable slow (single page). Deleting all comments and speed is back to normal Hidden comments and scrolling with or without showing track changes fast with 4.4.7.2. With comments on and view changes on at the same time slow. Only showing changes or only showing comments fine. Multi page mode is pretty fast even with comments & track changes visible I would speculate they improved timers are they cause..(Tobias Madl + Meeks) Painting they comment box more often. And somehow track & changes and comments got entangled. 5.0.6.3 is already affected by slows while scrolling -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137491] Comments are unvisible during manual save operation
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137491 --- Comment #7 from Luke Kendall --- I don't see how this issue relates in any way to the bugs Dieter noted, 60418 or 61558. This report is that the comments are removed from display when a manual save is performed, and re-drawn only when the save is completed. I don't see that the erasure and redraw of comments is an aspect of those bugs. This bug/enhancement seems unrelated, to me, and should be left as not resolved I think. I guess I'm just saying I don't see why slow performance would cause the code to hide and then redraw comments - unless you're saying comments are hidden and redrawn constantly, for any editing or scrolling operation (or save), and the redraw happens to not occur before the save. That seems unlikely though, to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When they are selected and moved around with the arrow keys the textframe stays with the shapes correctly. However when the shapes are moved around by Shift+arrow keys the rectangles textframe is moved independently from the rectangle shape, while the other two shapes move together with their textframes. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached file 2. Click on the shapes and press Shift + Arrow keys Actual results: Rectangle shapes textframe moves independently from the shape, while the triangle and diamond shapes textframes move with the shape. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137960 Bug ID: 137960 Summary: EDITING DOCX Shift + Left/Right arrow movement of shape makes its textframe fall out Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: filter:docx, regression Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@nisz.hu CC: arato.dan...@nisz.hu, bakos.attilakar...@nisz.hu, nem...@numbertext.org Blocks: 122866 Created attachment 166971 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166971&action=edit attachment #163631 after pressing Shift+Left thrice This is a followup to bug #135198 If the attachment #163631 is opened in current Writer the shape with textframe can be moved around with the arrow keys just fine. However this provides a small movement, if the Shift key is also pressed and Left/Right arrow keys are used the textframe moves left and right, but the shape stays at the same place. The fix to bug #135198 included disabling the Shift + Up/Down arrow keys moving the shapes textframe. This is specific to DOCX files, ODT is not affected. It would be a better solution to make these work again, and to make Shift + 4 arrows to move the shape with the textframe, similar to how it works with only the 4 arrow keys. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment #163631 2. Select the large shape 3. Press Shift + Up/Down arrows. This has no effect. 4. Press Shift + Left/Right arrows. Actual results: Shape moves in the document, but its textframe does not stay inside the shape. Expected results: Shape moves together with its textframe when Shift + 4 arrows are pressed. The ability to use e.g. -14pt is already tracked in bug 107405. Thanks Regina. "Combining Diacritical Marks" and "Combining Diacritical Symbols" are completely unusable because ^ ~ etc. do not ever positionate in the middle but a bit aside. Ok for prefined combination but they don't cover all the needs (actually just few needs). I think negative until 14 pt or more could be a solution. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137931] Show the UI selection dialog on first start-up
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137931 --- Comment #6 from Telesto --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #5) > While some want to advertise the Notebookbar by showing the UI dialog > directly after the first start there are many who disagree with this > in-your-face marketing. The compromise was to use the TotD dialog that shows > up at the first start anyway to run the action. => clear WF for me (but I'll > keep the ticket open). I wouldn't call it in you're face marketing. It's simply a configuration dialog at first start. Don't see they difference with TofD. That dialog is also thrown in you're face, I didn't ask for it :-). And a some point superfluous as you have seen them all (or starting over again after profile reset). So sometimes I wish it where an opt in system instead of opt out :-). Especially if are using fresh profile more often (testing daily's an such). So I click that thing away without reading.. It's only co-incidence it found it :-) Anyhow. I don't see it as 'throw it in you're face'. I did think there was already a understanding here (but clearly not). Many unnamed people (at least from my perspective) At some point I want this even member vote; to have some 'reference'. There not so many people around here. And the whole dialog thing is already a compromise. In the sense that people actually wanted to changed the default GUI to tabbed (as Collabora did) already. They next step was that all design should be available So putting that thing into TofD equals for me to have no dialog at startup :-). With progress being 0%. They whole point is make people prominently aware of the existence of the tabbed dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
