https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139024 --- Comment #5 from rett...@web.de --- New finding After a new kernel update I rebooted my Fedora33 system and miraculously I do not experience any worries regarding password protection anymore. The update was from kernel 5.9.14-200.fc33.x86_64 to kernel 5.9.15-200.fc33.x86_64. Accompanying the kernel updates there were other included updates, of which I would have to research. I cannot trace if it was the kernel update, other updates, or solely the reboot. If you need further information on the updates that I carried out in the meantime which could have led to the cure, please provide me with dnf commands that you need for information. >From my user point of view all is well and the case can be closed. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138419 --- Comment #8 from Peter S Anderson --- The attached example file is very large (500 pages) with numerous notes. The document takes an exceedingly long time to load and includes a table of contents which displays when loaded. I was unable to recreate the table of contents either after loading or after copying to a new text document in 6.4.7.2 and 7.2 Dev. I created a simple 20 page file with three chapters and a table of contents. When I copied the text to a new text document I was able to recreate the table contents without problem. I did this in both 6.4.7.2 and 7.2 Dev without a problem. I suspect that there is something particular to the example file which may corrupt memory. My work was done using 64 bit Windows 10 laptop. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139140] New: KDE: Notebookbar Styles Preview doesn't show correct font colour for paragraph styles that are automatic
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139140 Bug ID: 139140 Summary: KDE: Notebookbar Styles Preview doesn't show correct font colour for paragraph styles that are automatic Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: vano...@gmail.com Description: Using the Tabbed notebookbar, I like the way the Styles Preview panel is starting to look. (Different bug, I know, but I'd love to see context menu's there to change the styles from the toolbar). The problem is that, under KDE at least, the style preview font colour only works if it is explicitly set. Any paragraph styles with automatic font colour is rendered as white text on a white background. A workaround is to set a style's font colour to something manually. Perhaps related to bug #98253, where a similar problem occured in the sidebar. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a writer document using the KF5 VCL 2. Switch to the Tabbed NoteBookBar, and into the Home tab 3. Notice in the styles preview pane that only fonts without automatic font colours are shown. Actual Results: Styles with the font colour set to automatic don't render properly. Expected Results: Automatic font colour should render appropriately. :-) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: dfd69eb0ce4d1bb0442d65be2fcd8741fe9cb6ef CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.9; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2020-12-19_03:46:59 Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138289] FRAME STYLES: Frames do not change when the frame style applied on them changes
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138289 João Paulo changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|1 |0 Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED --- Comment #3 from João Paulo --- Hi Dieter, thanks for asking! What I am trying to say is that when we directly edit the styles that were applied to the frames (so their set position is changed), the frames themselves don't change until the styles are reapplied to the frames. For example, if I change the "Page number top" frame style so the position of the frame is now on the left side (Press F11, go to Frame styles, modify "Page number top", go to Type, Position, deactivate "Mirror on even pages" and select "Horizonal Left Position", the frame will not automatically change to be put on the left, I'll have to reapply the "Page number top" to the frame so it will change to the left. The second frame, on the bottom, also had to have the "Page number bottom" frame style reapplied for it to go to the left, even if the "Page number bottom" inherits its position from "Page number top". Those frame styles' names on my sample document are a bit silly, as they could be styles for "University logo" (to set the position of the university logo on the document), "Magazine logo" (to set the position of the magazine logo on the document), "Chapter author" (to set the position of the author of the chapter), "Chapter title" (to set the position of the chapter title) and so on, to get more advanced positioning options instead of relaying on those elements being anchored as characters and then editing the paragraph styles. It would be very good for advanced desktop publishing to directly edit the frame styles without needing to reapply them to every frame. Of course, if the user changed manually the position of the frame, by dragging it with the mouse or editing its properties, then the positions should not change (as now the frame would not have the common style applied to it, but an automatic style generated by LibreOffice to set the frame position. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I also checked that the result can be shown in Version: 6.4.4.2. The result was ok. I did not check, if I could originally apply the switching of orientation in the 6.4.4.2-Version. I am using LibreOffice [Version: 7.1.0.0.beta1 (x64)]. Here is the sequence of steps I am doing: 1. Open a new untitled spreadsheet and type in few data in a few cells. 2. Save the spreadsheet as Sampless.ods 3. Copy the cells having data. 4. Open a new untitled document in writer and save as textsample.odt. 5. Click on arrow near paste icon -> DDE. The data from the spreadsheet gets pasted into the document now. 6.Open the Sampless.ods and edit the previously copied data and save the spreadsheet. 7. In textsample.odt, update the external links from "Edit->Links to External Files". At this point I am expecting new data to replace the old dat in the text document, which is not happening. 8. Close the text document and open again. A message pops up asking whether to update to most recent data. Click "Yes". Still only old text appears in the document. What I have done in the video - select the text - Press Ctrl+M (clear the direct formatting) - select the text - and change to Default paragraph style to be sure that there is no other style involved - apply the desired styled - now everything just works -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139073] Spreadsheet crashes when trying to save as .uos format
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139073 --- Comment #5 from Jørgen --- I tried resetting the user profile but that didn't change anything. Crash log is attached. One observation: On first start after resetting the user profile "Open File" didn't do anything, spinning ball for a while and nothing more (no dialog). After quitting and starting again Open File works again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
