I can't reproduce that.
Can you attach a screenshot how your print preview looks like?

Not really sure what you are attempting here or what you are reporting as a
bug.

dBase is not MDB.

An MDB file extension is an Access database, not a dBase database.

LibreOffice supports either opening a dBase3 file, or an Access MDB (under
certain conditions), but not a dBase file that is somehow pretending to be an
Access file.

If you want to use a MDB file as the datasource, you need the appropriate
Microsoft driver and setup.

>From the description you have provided, and the error message, it sounds like
you are trying to set up a connection to a Microsoft Access file having a MDB
file extension.

We would also need to know which version of Access was used to produce the
Access file.

Please provide us with further information, including your operating system
version.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141700] New: In DOCX format Border padding is not saved for image when in a table

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141700

Bug ID: 141700
Summary: In DOCX format Border padding is not saved for image
when in a table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: b...@bibble.co.nz

Description:
In DOCX format Border padding is not saved for image when in a table. I.E. if
you put a value in for padding this is not saved.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a table
2. Place an image in a cell (png)
3. Change the borders padding to 0.10
4. Save as ODT works
5. Save as 365 docx format
6. Reopen borders padding is 0

Actual Results:
Border padding is saved

Expected Results:
Border padding is reset to 0

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Saving as ODT format keep the values.

I am looking into this now but this is my first foray into LibreOffice so
waiting for it to build. Would handy to speak with someone on next steps. Happy
to help

Dear HFM,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103423] Linux: drawing object with Zoom animation not displayed in Impress slideshow

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103423

Dear vgstef,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

OK, I am sending the ODT file (D3Cos) and the EMF file so you can do your own
tests. In particular, you could display the EMF file (eg, with irfanview) to
see what it should look like if properly rendered.

Closing as worksforme since 7.1.2 works as expected.

Agree on having integrating language and offering language selection on
download like e.g. Firefox handles this problem. Keep in mind though,
LibreOffice is quite a large download and then every version would have to be
offered in *many* variants, complicating backend work quite a bit. Certainly
from a user perspective language packs feel convoluted.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141699] New: Enhancement request: Missing symbol in LibreOffice Math

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141699

Bug ID: 141699
Summary: Enhancement request: Missing symbol in LibreOffice
Math
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Formula Editor
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: valentinobocchin...@gmail.com

Description:
I would like to be able to include in my formulas a symbol which is known as
/gtreqless in LaTeX, but I coudn't find a way to do so (I also looked online
for a solution), and therefore I believe that this is a missing feature.

Steps to Reproduce:
You can notice that the symbol is missing in LibreOffice Math.

Actual Results:
There was nothing to perform.

Expected Results:
I expected the possibility to use this symbol.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 7.1.0.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: f6099ecf3d29644b5008cc8f48f42f4a40986e4c
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: it-IT (it_IT.UTF-8); UI: it-IT
Calc: threaded

In MacOS, I had to follow a different path than the one specified ("Help -
About LibreOffice") to copy and paste the information on top. Might be nice if
you include instructions for MacOS users too. I selected "All" in Hardware and
OS, because I'm pretty sure that this affects any copy of LibreOffice.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135977] Rename and Reorder Template Menu to make it more intuitive.

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135977

(In reply to Clarc from comment #0)
Thanks for your suggestions and interest. Improvements are worthwhile, but
maybe a more comprehensive approach is preferable.

- Naming issues
(a) About comment 2. "Open Template" will be "Edit Template" in 7.2 (see bug
138621, comment 8)

(b) Template Manager has multiple purposes (including setting a default
template, renaming and deleting templates, putting them in categories, moving
them between categories, etc.), so it is just as problematic to rename the
command to something that signals primarily "open a document based on a
template" -- because then it "hides" all the other management functions (see
next point).

- Position issue
Changing command position in the Template submenu might be appropriate if
nothing further was done in relation to templates. But maybe the UI should be
improved to (a) make it easier to use templates and (b) unnecessary to use
template manager (Ctrl+Shift+N) as the primary (only) way to open templates
(see bug 137906).

With that approach, the template manger would go back (become) primarily a
dialog to manage templates, and then its name and position would become less
important, in relation to opening new documents with templates.

My proposal: Given that the OP is focused on "improve the user-friendliness",
consider closing this ticket as a duplicate of bug 137906, as way to
indicate/register interest for improving ease of using/selecting templates when
opening new documents (and then "position" can be considered in light of other
planned UI changes).

Which PDF reader are you using ?

Perhaps your PDF reader is configured to not obey this kind of restriction. For
example Okular, when configured to obey to DRM restrictions, does not allow to
copy selected text if that is not permitted by the PDF.
So, for me, restrictions are set, but the PDF reader can do what it want.

Status set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested
information is provided.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141269] FILESAVE: PNG: Incorrect transparency after roundtrip

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141269

The icons in the sidebar in GTK3 are set by passing a block of png data to gtk
which them renders the png internally, so those showing broken to me indicates
that we didn't give them the correct png data, I feel there are a few separate
places not working.

so, currently internally in bitmap data we are supposed to be using opacity and
not transparency so a fully transparent pixel has an alpha of 0 ?

vcl/source/filter/png/PngImageReader.cxx:309 has:
  pScanAlpha[iAlpha++] = 0xFF - pRow[i + 3]
is that then an out of date conversion from opacity to transparency.
vcl/source/filter/png/pngwrite.cxx:566 has a matching:
  255 - mpMaskAccess->GetIndexFromData(pScanlineMask, nX)
to go the other direction
vcl/headless/svpgdi.cxx has some "make upper layers use standard alpha" places
where it does some toggling which might be wrong now (?)
if BitmapEx::AdjustTransparency input cTrans is transparency then should
nNewTrans = nTrans + *pAScan convert *pAScan from opacity to transparency
before the addition ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141697] New: Conditional Formatting being randomly undone when files are saved

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141697

Bug ID: 141697
Summary: Conditional Formatting being randomly undone when
files are saved
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lcfreit...@gmail.com

Description:
I have a spreadsheet with 5 different types of conditional formatting in some
columns.

The program simply does not save the styles you choose for each condition. When
you close and open the software again, your choices are preserved, but the
styles you picked/created are substituted by at style with the same
characteristics named "ConditionalStyle_1" (and subsequent numbers).

After you open and close your spreadsheet a few times (or, after waiting a few
days), these automatically created styles are reset. They still exist, but all
specific formatting is erased and the text reverts to default.

The practical consequence of this is that you have to keep redoing your
Conditional Formatting from time to time.

Actual Results:
I have not tried to reproduce it. I am short of time and not such a skilled
user.

Expected Results:
I have not tried to reproduce it. I am short of time and not such a skilled

Hi Noel,
I gave it a try but I failed. My change <
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/114082/2 > breaks the icons in the
sidebar in GTK3 ( see https://imgur.com/a/BYj3CFE ) and a unittest in
sw_ooxmlexport10.
Could you please take a look to this issue whenever you have some time ?

tdf#125300 extend AddParaSpacingToTableCells with line spacing
Now default compatibility mode AddParaSpacingToTableCells uses
not only paragraph bottom margin, but also proportional line
spacing before bottom cell border, as in MSO.

Note: disable testForcepoint76, because it fails again with

2021-04-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141696

Bug ID: 141696
Summary: CALC crashes when you try and view a registerd BASE
table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sarosh...@gmail.com

Clicked on the VIEW menu item in CALC, then on the Data Sources sub-menu item.
Clicked on a database that I had created in BASE and then on a table in that
database. CALC crashed.

Tried the same procedure with the Bibliography table that comes with Libre
Office and everything worked properly.
