https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62196 --- Comment #127 from Byron Willis --- I am running Windows 10 and LibreOffice 7.1 and I'm experiencing this issue. I am sometimes unable to paste text from Google Chrome (web browser) into a Writer document. I use the utility PureText and even when I paste the text using my global hotkey for PureText into the currently active window, Writer doesn't paste it. Also I find that I am sometimes able to use CTRL + V to paste text, but the context menu is still grayed out. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98451 --- Comment #12 from QA Administrators --- Dear Regina Henschel, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58440] EDITING: moving columns/rows with overwrites instead of ousting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #42 from Jean-François Fortin Tam --- Created attachment 171246 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=171246=edit demonstration of rows reordering in Google Sheets This isn't MacOS-specific. On Linux (GTK3 version), dragging rows/columns is impossible, no matter if you select them first, use alt/ctrl/shift/ctrl+alt/ctrl+shift/alt+shit while dragging with the mouse, etc. There just is no way to reorder rows/columns at all, as far as I can tell. Do I need to file a new bug about that platform specifically, or should we just adjust the title and platforms of this bug to reflect that? Alt+dragging cells works, but not rows/columns, and I don't care about cells because I could use cut & paste for those. Cut & paste doesn't work for rows/columns however, because you need to be able to insert "between" other rows/columns. Meanwhile, Google Sheets lets you reorder simply by selecting the rows/columns and then dragging them around, no keyboard modifiers required, which makes a ton more sense in my view (because if I wanted to drag-select multiple rows/columns, I wouldn't be clicking/selecting first). You can see that behavior in action in the gif file I am attaching now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141718] New: Windows window-manager relocates open calc windows on exit from screen-saver
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141718 Bug ID: 141718 Summary: Windows window-manager relocates open calc windows on exit from screen-saver Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: cw...@verizon.net Description: Please don't treat this post as something from a newbie... I probably was a computer professional before you were born. Thanks Calc, running on windows. Open calc windows (some of the time) get relocated when the window manager returns from a screen saver or the window is returned from a minimized state. Windows update 2021-04 and a few previous versions. LibreOffice update 7.1.2.2 and one or two previous versions. Two displays, one 3840x2160 and one 1920x1080 Steps to Reproduce: 1. One or more windows is/are open and located on the root window in a reasonable position, not partly off of the screen. 2. The windows window manager goes to a screen saver (display off) state. 3. The windows window manager leaves the screen saver state. Actual Results: Often the open calc window is displaced to the bottom of the screen or mostly off the screen to the lower right. This problem has existed for a few updates of both windows and LibreOffice. Expected Results: The window(S) should always retain its/their position. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The window shape is preserved. The information about the position is being mis-communicated between calc and the windows window manager. The problem doesn't happen on every occasion but does happen several times a day; often enough to be annoying. I don't know if the same problem exists for other LibreOffice programs. The problem doesn't manifest itself for any other applications. The two most common mis-positionings are: 1) The bottom of the window becomes the bottom of the screen, and 2) The upper left corner of the window seems to become the lower right corner of the root window minus the original displacement from the original root window upper left. e.g. If the window started at 100,200 it is moved to (3840-100),(2160-200). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140522] Using Keypad Entry Fills Many Pages With The Selected Number
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140522 --- Comment #3 from miguel --- I have the exact same issue with LO 7.0 and 7.1. I filed a bug under bug #141361. I am guessing that my old PS/2 keyboard may have something to do with the bug. My LO in LinuxMint with same keyboard works just fine in Writer. Perhaps something between Windows 10, keyboard, and how LO interacts. My only workaround and solution so far that I found worked for me, is to install Apache OpenOffice and default all odt, doc, and txt files to Apache OpenOffice; I leave for now my spreadsheets default to LO. I also installed Softmaker FreeOffice Textmaker and used for a while with odt, doc, and txt files; but the writer does not read odt documents that same as OpenOffice & LO. Some text boxes will not expand past the regular margins. But the keyboard keypad works just fine. But many of my word processing docs have text boxes that reach outside the regular margins. Not sure if AbiWord for windows will work; it is an older version. Available for download at a few download sites (no longer on AbiWord web site). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94326 --- Comment #24 from Justin L --- comment 0's "numbered headers example.doc" is different again. In this one, Заголовок 1 is Heading 1, and it defines outlinelvl=0, ilvl=0 (twice) and ilfo numId as 1 and then 2. sprm value="0x460b" ispmd="0xb" fSpec="0x1" sgc="paragraph" spra="2" name="sprmPIlfo" operandSize="2" operand="0x2"/> In addition, the paragraph seems to have direct formatting setting ilvl to 0, ilfo to 8. #paragraph style #1 - aka heading 1 #numId eight But apparently the numbering style is set to NONE(instead of decimal, romanLower, letterUpper etc) for the numbering list 2 (aka Heading 1). So that part is all correct. #numID=2 #if nfc is equal to 0xFF or 0x17, this level has no number sequence, and the level number of the paragraph is an empty string. The numbering style for numId 8 (LVL 63-71) specifies decimal numbering. #decimal It seems as if the direct formatting is being removed, because the numbering can be controlled by changing the Chapter Numbering number type. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140184] Sort changes relative references same as absolute ones

When a relative range is created, it is relative to the cell where you are at the moment of creation, if you go to another cell then it changes with rows and columns relatives to the change of position. Enter =cell() in A1 and A2 e.e go to C2, [Ctrl+F3], create 'test' 'sheet1.A1' In C2: =test -> result is 'A1' In C3: =test -> result is 'A2' Copy C2 to C3: result in C3 is 'A2' Such kind of behavior is very useful to solve some situations, but no easy to understand with two cells with a formula with the same 'named range' give different results. Ports is FreeBSD's third party package build framework, that applies patches and builds packages. So it's equivalent to building from the version tarball (7.1.1.2 in this case), with applying needed patches. For LibreOffice, the ports bits can be found at https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/editors/libreoffice with the necessary patches under the files/ directory. I haven't forgotten about this, been running into problems building with dbgutil, due to requiring building all dependencies in-house, not allowing system dependencies. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91400 --- Comment #9 from dorian --- This bug still persists on macOS since it was reported (arguably before, if forum posts are accurate), and I can confirm at least through 10.14. Present in multiple LO versions since this issue was first reported, all the way up to 7.1.2.2. The general response in fora etc has been #WORKSFORME. The reason why this bug is only visible to some people and persists across LO versions and OS installs is that it turns out to be a particular implementation of the actual Gill Sans Ultra Bold font itself. (macOS ships with Gill Sans; the one attached was a different copy I found in ~/Library for some reason; I don't know where it came from.) If you disable it, the problem goes away. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140184] Sort changes relative references same as absolute ones
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140184 --- Comment #6 from yallabala...@gmail.com --- Confirmed on 7.1.2.2 Kubuntu 64bit PC. The problem is *much* worse: multiple reproducible bugs around relative (and absolute) name ranges, rendering them untrustworthy of calculations. multiple examples screencast / videos of these bugs: https://youtu.be/R0y8Zg_d-vs https://youtu.be/TOphlzoWfvE bug1: 1. create a absolute named range 2. convert it to relative 3. result - formulas (sometimes) give error 522 (circular reference) bug 2: 1. create a relative named range 2. go to another cell 3. press Ctrl+F3 4. result: The named range shows another address! bug 3 1. create relative named range 2. create a formula referring to that named range (e.g. "=named+4" ) 2. sort 3. named range points to another address; formula gives a wrong result bug 4: 1. change named range from relative/absolute, to half-relative ($B$6 -> B$6 , $B6). 2. exactly same address, different results or error messages wait, there's more but difficult to reproduce: sometimes relative named range error (522) magically fixed after changing values in the sheet. or the error is removed, but showing abnormal values. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
