There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110736 --- Comment #6 from QA Administrators --- Dear Thomas S., To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142940] Enabling pair kerning breaks rendering of many common fonts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142940 --- Comment #1 from adam.m.fontenot+do...@gmail.com --- Follow up: Looking at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103322 again, it's worth pointing out that if I'm reading the following correctly, LibreOffice is not using subpixel positioning at all. > We should switch to using floats to store glyph positions instead, which > would make the rounding errors less visible. It would also allow us to > benefit from sub-pixel positioning support in the graphics libraries we use. Indeed, from testing this appears to be the case. If you look at the screenshot I'm about to attach, you'll see that each glyph on the first line has exactly the same subpixel offset as the corresponding glyph on the second line. This isn't the case with a properly behaving FreeType renderer (tested in KWrite). That's why the result of that bug is a bunch of bad glyph positioning problems. If you type a repeated character like "mmm", the text layout engine will (in 12 pt Arial) put each "m" slightly too close together because it lacks subpixel positioning. Eventually it has to fix the word length and so it puts a extra 1 pixel gap between two "m"s. Looks ugly: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88991 The thing is, so long as LibreOffice doesn't support subpixel positioning, it's not surprising that pair kerning might make these rendering issues much worse. Most kerning operations are relatively subtle, and when your renderer doesn't support subpixel positioning at all, it's not surprising that that the engine goes nuts and gives you nonsense results (like characters colliding) when asked to make small adjustment to the glyph position. If that turns out to be what's happening here, I think that's a further argument for defaulting it to off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123095] Auto filter result is wrong when cell value contains full-width and half-width characters and case-insensitive filtering is used
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123095 --- Comment #9 from stragu --- (In reply to Takeshi Abe from comment #4) > By the way the reported behavior is due to the default case-insensitive > filtering. > A simple workaround is to open the Standard Filter dialog by choosing > "Standard Filter ..." in the popup, check "Case sensitive" in the "Options" > drawer, and enter OK. Then both "乙二醇(进口料件)" and "乙二醇(进口料件)" appears in the > drop-down list. I don't think that is right, or maybe the behaviour has changed since then, but with original attachment 148812 you'll notice that: 1. Copy cell A3 and paste into AutoFilter search field, click OK 2. Result: nothing is shown 3. Go back to showing all (or Ctrl + Z) 4. Open Standard Filter, make sure "Case sensitive" is _not_ ticked 5. It has some shapes, which are horizontal aligned centered to margin. The red line marks the center. Compare the horizontal alignment between Word and Writer. For most shape types, Word uses the bounding box, including fat strokes, shadow and callout extensions, and aligns the bounding box center with the page text area center. For some shape types, Word uses the snap rectangle. That is the rectangle which has the handles to resize the object. I have found "chord", "arc", "pie" and "block arc", but there might exist more. For some shape types, I do not see any rule, how Word centers the object, e.g. the shape type "half frame". The document contains a rotated "half frame". LibreOffice uses the snap rectangle to position the object centered. How should we handle this incompatibility? Change "center" to "from" on import and export? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142943] New: Can't change paragraph styles by double-clicking a style on sidebar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142943 Bug ID: 142943 Summary: Can't change paragraph styles by double-clicking a style on sidebar Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.0.0 alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: hsantanna+libreoff...@gmail.com I can't change between Writer paragraph styles by double click on any style inside sidebar. This only happens if the double click is "too fast", with no pause between the two clicks. If I do a pause between two clicks (e.g 0.5s) the paragraph style will be changed (most times). To reproduce: 1. Click at any paragraph inside the document. 2. Open paragraph sidebar list (e.g pressing F11) 3. Double click over any style inside paragraph styles list. 4. The paragraph style have not changed inside document, but the style is selected inside styles list. 5. Click two times with ~0.5s between clicks over another style on sidebar. 6. The style will be changed inside the document. (Also, style change can be forced by mouse selecting a style on the list and than pressing Enter on keyboard) Additional info: This only happens if SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN is set to kf5 or qt5. This will not happen if VCL is gen or gtk3. Tested on Wayland, not tested on X11. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142941] New: [EMF+] DrawImagePoints SrcRect support
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142941 Bug ID: 142941 Summary: [EMF+] DrawImagePoints SrcRect support Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: graphics stack Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: f...@df.ru Description: LO doesn't handle DrawImagePoints SrcRect properly. Steps to Reproduce: Open attached EMF sample. Actual Results: LO draws a piece of green rectangle in the top left corner and blue square in the middle of the image. Expected Results: It should draw green square of the same size as a blue one on the top part of the image. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: In this case DrawImagePoints deals with an ObjectImage of the Metafile type. LO reads SrcRect and uses in in aGDI.Clip call, however it has wrong or no effect depends on the specific values provided. This was identified during analysis of EMF+ part of the issue with a file from tdf#59814. Solving this problem should also have a positive impact on tdf#59814. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
