[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40272] Filesave ODT as DOC/DOCX conversion problem with continued instead of restarted numbering
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40272 --- Comment #16 from Justin L --- (In reply to Timur from comment #12) > - LIN1 numbering is 4 instead of 1 - still repro in 61+ I don't see anywhere in the UI that indicates that this should be a numbering restart. So despite the fact that these two lists use the same numbering style, they must actually be different lists - although nothing in the ODT seems to suggest that either, except that one list ends and the next one starts. There are no list-id's in this document, but any modification of the numbering adds them in. (Of course, the list-id's don't make sense to me, because different list-id's can be used for the same "continued numbering list". I'm not going to touch this, because it would require immense understanding of how SW handles lists under the hood. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143190] New: Sidebar master list drop-down in Windows LO Draw does not update when either creating or deleting a new master
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143190 Bug ID: 143190 Summary: Sidebar master list drop-down in Windows LO Draw does not update when either creating or deleting a new master Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.0.0 alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mwtjunkm...@gmail.com Description: The sidebar property for the Master Page: drop-down does not update in Windows when I either create a new master or delete it. Saving doesn't work either. I must save, close the file, and re-open it again for the list to update. There are several bugs associated with the behavior of this drop-down, but I'm reporting just one at a time for clarity and testing's sake so as not to confuse issues. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Windows LO 2. Create a new LO Draw document 3. Expose the properties sidebar so you're looking at the Page properties 4. Examine the Master Page: drop-down (you'll see just the master named Default) 5. Select View, Master 6. Select Page, New Master (hovering over the new master, it's named Default 1) 7. Re-examine the Master Page: drop-down (has not updated) 8. Save the file 9. Re-examine the Master Page: drop-down (has not updated) 10. Select View, Normal 11. Re-examine the Master Page: drop-down (has not updated) 12. Select File, Close (but leave the LO application up) 13. Re-open the file. 14. Re-examine the Master Page: drop-down (has finally updated) 15. Repeat by deleting the new master, you'll get the same situation. The new master will remain in the list despite being deleted until saving, closing, and reloading the Draw document. Actual Results: The Master Page: drop-down in the properties sidebar never updates during the current session. One must save, close, and re-load the Draw document to force the list to update. Expected Results: The Master Page: sidebar properties drop-down should update upon the successful creation or deletion of a master page. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 79d31d08146afa0861ceb1705262411449e71ec7 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143188] New: WRITER Crash after pasting multiple times
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143188 Bug ID: 143188 Summary: WRITER Crash after pasting multiple times Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: come.all...@netc.fr Description: Paste multiple times the same thing, it starts consuming 100% CPU. Continue pasting, it freezes. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open libreoffice and choose "Writer" to open a new document 2. Write "aunrsetaunrsietnrsaut" or something like this 3. In this word, copy with ^C "nrset" or something like this 4. Go to the end of the line 5. Paste with ^V several times Actual Results: After ~5 ^V's it freezes for one second and starts a thread using 100% of one of the CPU logical threads. After ~3 more ^V's it freezes for a long time (> 15 s), and there is still one thread running 100%, even after it stops freezing. Maybe not linked: `pkill soffice.bin` then on next start of LO, the document is restored but with no contents in it. Expected Results: The text should be pasted once for each ^V. It may drop some pastes if the frequency of ^V's is too high (but I am not a robot so I think I do not paste excessively fast) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.0.6.2 Build ID: 00(Build:2) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Langue IHM : fr-FR 7.0.6-2 Calc: threaded (Note: pasting this text multiple times in the document also makes Writer freeze) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143183] Format Basic function needs better description of its 'format' argument
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143183 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added CC||er...@redhat.com --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- OMG, how convoluted is it all. There is a special processing in Basic for text input. * "!" in the first position of format string means "take first character only (and ignore the rest of both input string, and of format string)": > Format("FooBar", "!!abc") => "F" (everything after initial "1" is discarded) * "\" in the first position of format string means "starting from this, start outputting character by character from the input string, until another "\" is found, then break": > Format("FooBar", "\.!?\abc") => "FooBa" (5 character output: one for each "\", > ".", "!", "?", and "\"). * Everything else in the format string just means "output the input string verbatim". This effectively disables normal format string handling for strings that can't convert to text - so e.g. this doesn't produce an expected result: > Format("BAZ", "foo@bar") => "BAZ", not expected "fooBAZbar", nor > "fooBbazAR", as VBA gives IIUC, VBA doesn't have such a strange thing. Where does this come from? Even https://wiki.openoffice.org/w/images/c/c1/BasicGuide_OOo3.2.0.pdf doesn't mention those strange things. Should we just drop that special processing? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142808] UI: Tabstop jumps on ruler when placed on right triangle
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142808 --- Comment #4 from mail...@gmx.de --- Dieter, thank you for the confirmation. One particular use-case affected by this bug may not be *that* rare: Putting left- and right aligned text on the same line by placing a right tabstop on the right page margin*. Doing so in a paragraph with hanging indent larger than the right page margin is particularly annoying, because the bug then causes the right tabstop to jump off the (visible part of the) ruler, leaving the poor user (a.k.a. me) with no clue about what is going on. *) compare search-engine results for "left and right same line libre", for example https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/148017/some-text-flush-left-and-other-text-flush-right-on-same-line/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143181 Bug ID: 143181 Summary: Export slides as single HTML only shows text, no images Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stephane.guil...@member.fsf.org Description: Exporting slides from Impress as as a single HTML file results in a file with only text and no pictures. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create set of slides with visual elements like picture and drawing objects 2. File > Export > HTML 3. In the HTML export dialogue: Next > Publication type: Single-document HTML > Create 4. No need to name it, can click "Cancel" 5. Open resulting single HTML file in a web browser Actual Results: No visual elements in the resulting HTML file: no background, no image, no shape. Only text. Expected Results: Something more similar to the option "Standard HTML format", in which slides are rendered as pictures (although the issue of accessibility remains, as text is not parsable, as described in Bug 119782) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Tested with: Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f446a203fa2897bab8ae7686c948a8bf060675c6 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2021-06-24_15:16:38 Calc: threaded Version: 7.2.0.0.beta1 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c6974f7afec4cd5195617ae48c6ef9aacfe85ddd CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Version: 7.0.6.2 Build ID: 144abb84a525d8e30c9dbbefa69cbbf2d8d4ae3b CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This renders this menu option much less useful that it otherwise could be. I wonder if the option can be made a bit smarter, to recognise only the *changed* attributes, rather than applying everything the same to everything. Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a plot of something, with no axis titles 2. add x- and y-axis titles with standard font setting etc. 3. use Format → Title → All Titles to increase the font size Actual Results: y-axis title flips to being horizontal. to fix it, one must manually edit the formatting of just the y-axis to correct the orientation (enter '90' degrees) Expected Results: y-axis title should keep its existing orientation -- it wasn't something I changed.
