[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138468] Cell background color selection widget UI in side-bar now extra step of palette selection droplist
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138468 --- Comment #7 from R. Bingham --- (In reply to Roman Kuznetsov from comment #6) > So strange. Can you reset your user profile using menu item Help-Restart in > Safe Mode? Restart in Safe Mode (no options selected) does restore the color picker I/F working as expected but of course without any palatte entries that may have been created by extensions. So then likely some extension install/update/uninstall horked the the color picker widget config in the user profile. Assuming this is the case, then 2 courses of recovery: 1) Uninstall all non-bundled extensions, re-start in Safe Mode and factory reset the profile, then re-start in normal mode and re-install extensions one-by-one checking the color picker widget each time. I have 8 extensions installed 7 of which are enabled. Painfull but doable. The advantage of this method is identifying if a particular extension install is reproductibly causing the config issue. 2) If the color picker config is in a text editable file buried in the \AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user tree, then get that filename from this forum and take a look for possible manual correction without the work of #1. #1 would then be the fallback method. If the color picker widget config is stored binary, then back to method #1. Regards. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143651] New: Calc fails to fill-in default value from prior rows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143651 Bug ID: 143651 Summary: Calc fails to fill-in default value from prior rows Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.0.1 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mrzen...@gmail.com In LibreOffice releases up to and including 7.1, when I begin to enter a value on a row on a spreadsheet, if any previous row has a similar value, Calc fills in default suggested values until I type something that doesn't match. This is as expected. In LO 7.2.0.1, this does not happen. I verified this with a spreadsheet I use every day to log certain activities and noticed the flaw as soon as I installed 7.2. I just checked with my laptop, which is still running 7.0, and re-installed 7.1 on my desktop (where I ususally use it), and the prior behavior consistently occurs. To reproduce: Open a spreadsheet in Calc. Enter some data on a row. to the next row and begin to enter similar data that starts off the same. In 7.1 and earlier, Calc will fill in (selected) by default the previous entry until you type something that does not match. In 7.2, this does not occur - the row is blank and gets no prompted input. I believe this is also the default behavior in Excel (the 7.1 and earlier behavior). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143221] Menu/Toolbar entry to show hidden character
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143221 --- Comment #2 from S.Zosgornik --- Hello Dieter, I don't find the described method a sufficient solution for showing hidden characters. for several reasons: 1. Your way isn't mentioned inside LibreOffice help. 2. Combining hidden text with formatting aids strictly limits the use-cases of hidden characters to user defined formatting notes. But other than Calc's hidden columns/rows which are only need visible to extend or modify an already finished spreadsheet are hidden characters in Writer utilizable for many reasons, e.g. giving additional (background) information or showing literary references. So I suggest a separate toolbar entry, optimally with Writer's read-only mode binding. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
