[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143756] New: Basic: Round VBA compatibility function needs documenting its rounding mode

2021-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143756

Bug ID: 143756
Summary: Basic: Round VBA compatibility function needs
documenting its rounding mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Documentation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com
CC: olivier.hal...@libreoffice.org

Since fixing bug 142922, the Basic compatibility function Round implements
proper half-to-even rounding mode. That needs documenting in the relevant help
page [1], with some examples (see e.g. unit tests implemented in the fix).

Based on comment 4, this is fine in current 32-bit Windows builds.
I can confirm the bug already exists in LO 5.2.0.4 64-bit Win build, but is
fine in a 5.0.0.5 64-bit Win build.
The oldest 64-bit bibisect repo is 6.4, therefore this is not bibisectable.

I don't see the rationale behind the high/major importance either, resetting it
to medium/normal, if anyone wants to raise it, please give a reason.

This is actually not a duplicate of bug 143527, this one is about saving the
details to a file, while that one is about what is played. For this you only
need to reload the saved presentation, and check slide transition properties.

What I can see that this was indeed buggy in 6.0.0.3, but looks fixed in
7.1.0.3, therefore marking as WORKSFORME.

ok in LO 7202

the small test file is now ok from 131 kb to 136 kb with saving in 7.2.0.2
win64 with open document format 1.3.

In the big test file, it is only 1 kb more to 1.701 kb.

With enabled animations, my notebook air cooler goes high.

So it is well solved.

In MSO is the animation not started in work mode.
So there is no performance and heat-making problem.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143738] feature request: support for double line display shapes such as excel

2021-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon

(In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #4)
> Regina: any thoughts here?
The relevant ODF attribute is draw:stroke and that has only "none", "dash" and
"solid". The double-lines which you notice on table cells are fo:border in ODF,
and fo:border can have more line styles.

It is formally possible to use fo:border instead of draw:stroke or in addition
to it. Writer frames use fo:border. I think, it would be a large effort to
support it for shapes too.

Similar request is in

2021-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 143751
Summary: Text AutoSave option doesn't save changes during the
work with a document and after restoring.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.0.0 alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ksui...@yandex.ru

Description:
Text AutoSave option doesn't save changes during the work with a document and
after restoring.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create (or open) a document in Writer and add a new text to it. In the
parameters "Option" - "Load/Save" - "Save" set up Save AutoRecovery
information, for example, every 1 minute.
2.Don't perform any more actions for the next 1 minute. After 60-70 seconds,
force the app to terminate, for example, turn off the computer.
3. Open the document again, press "Start" to restore the document you edited
and after the restore procedure check, if the added text is saved.
4. Then during the next 60-70 seconds start typing random text. After that,
force the app to be shutted down again as in the p. 2.
5. Open this document again. After the restore procedure check, if the added
text is saved.

The steps also were reproduced for the time periods:

1. when enable option "Save AutoRecovery information" for 1 min (PC restarted
after: more than in 1 min (e.g. 70 seconds ) and then in less than 1 min (e.g.
40 seconds))
2. when enable option "Save AutoRecovery information" for 2 min (PC restarted
after: more than in 2 min (e.g. 2 min 30 seconds) and then in less than 2 min
(e.g. 1 min 30 seconds))
3. when enable option "Save AutoRecovery information" for 5 min (PC restarted
after more than in 5 min (e.g. 5 min 30 seconds) and then in less than 5 min
(e.g. 4 min 30 seconds)).

Actual Results:
Text AutoSave option doesn't save changes during the work with a document and
after restoring.

Text AutoSave option always saves changes during the work with a document and
after restoring.

Description:
In version 7.2.0.2 in Writer…

The following function only works intermittently (to the point you may as well
say it does NOT work at all) in the Tools>Options…>Language settings>Grammar
checking settings:

The Parentheses function only works on very rare occasions (as indicated by a
blue squiggly line), such that it is totally unreliable. It should detect
missing or extra parentheses and/or quotation marks. It used to work fine, but
NOT in the newest update. By very rare, I mean it has only worked for me once
out of at least 30 tests of either missing or extra punctuation marks even
after closing and restarting the application.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools>Options…>Language settings>Grammar checking
2. Make sure Parenthesis checkbox is checked
3. Open a Writer document and insert unpaired parentheses and quotation marks
4. Also insert extra parentheses and quotation marks
5. Note there are no blue squiggly lines indicating an error in punctuation.

Actual Results:
It does not detect missing or extra parentheses and/or quotation marks.

Reproduced in:

Version: 7.1.5.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 85f04e9f809797b8199d13c421bd8a2b025d52b5
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: de-DE (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US

Maybe, this is in fact a UI issue? This would explain the missing reproduction
found by AnnaV under Windows.
