However, I notice that those ranges are not static. They change whenever a copy or cut function is used. Is there a method or option to make those conditional ranges LOCKED? The function used for these is to create a staff grid based on calendar days. Each column represents a calendar day. There never should be a duplicate initial within a column and so conditions were used to double check any errors not caught visually. But sometimes, the range is modified to exclude a cell within a column. Ex: A3:A29; A31, A49 (or even another column for a particular range!) Another option that would be interesting is a duplicate could be detected if there is any string of characters that are the same. Ex: AP and AP7-7 would be treated as a duplicate and not different. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy/paste or deleting cells with info 2. Viewing Conditional Formatting under Format and Manage 3. Cell ranges change sporadically Actual Results: See description Expected Results: Ranges defined in conditional formatting should be locked to only the cell range defined for that condition Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Not that I can think of but willing to provide an example file if needed -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47295] Default paragraph style should be "Text body" and not "Default"
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47295 --- Comment #36 from rscra...@gmail.com --- LO version 7.2.1.2 Note: this comment uses “DPS” to mean “Default Paragraph Style”. In the default template (and the “Modern” template, which I think came bundled with LO on install), none of the 2nd-level paragraph styles (one level below the DPS or inheriting directly from DPS) has DPS set as the “Next style”. However, the Headings style (and the Text Body style) is set by default to have Text Body as the next style. For people who use the template as-is, this means that the order of composition of a document will often determine its styling: 1. Users who start by writing a title or heading will likely have Text Body styled paragraphs for the rest of the document. This outcome is probably desired. 2. Users who start by writing a few paragraphs and then a heading and then another paragraph will have a few paragraphs of DPS style and a few of Text Body style. This outcome is not desired and may cause confusion. Some principles I think most people would agree with: A. The default template should not be designed with the assumption that users will understand the details of style inheritance B. The order of composition of a document should not determine its styling C. If the most-commonly-used paragraph styles are set to be followed by Text Body, the template is pushing Text Body as the main style to use for most paragraphs D. Most users who *do* understand the difference between DPS and Text Body prefer to use Text Body for most text E. Users who do *not* understand the difference do not care much what style they use and just want a consistent experience All of this points to the conclusion that Text Body should be the default style selected when the Default template and Modern template are used. (A related issue is that the name “Default Paragraph Style” may confuse users, who will wonder why LO keeps changing the style after Headings to Text Body. Perhaps this should be renamed to something like “Master Paragraph Style”.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145050] Selection not working properly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145050 --- Comment #2 from rich...@meriden.me.uk --- I'd say this is expected operation - the items you're referring to 2 footnotes defined just above 'then in wrath he speaks to them, scares them with his fury'. Their selection is implicit in the selection of the main text, and the secondary effect you're seeing is the selection of the individual footnote. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144404] user-defined sticky points of an object are not shown while stretching a connector to the object
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144404 birnb...@posteo.de changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #6 from birnb...@posteo.de --- Well, no. The problem persists in 7.2.2.2. User defined sticky points will be indicated even if the object is grouped with another object, BUT one cannot connect to them. Once a connection is made, however, it is maintained even if the object is then grouped with another one. This is significantly limits connector functionality. A circuit diagram, for instance, is really hard to draw if you need to divide each transistor into arcs and boxes before you can wire it up. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140091] Suggestion: burger menu for sheets in Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140091 --- Comment #4 from Michael Warner --- I like the idea of having a menu of sheets next to the other navigation controls, but I don't agree with it being represented in the UI as a three line "hamburger" icon. In other apps, that icon is reserved for a general purpose main menu. Perhaps an upward or downward pointing triangle would be better. Another option would be to make the Calc document entry in the Window menu into a submenu that shows the individual sheets. If you select the document name it just brings that window to the foreground, if you select an individual sheet, it also displays that sheet. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
