Opening the attached document, you get a different result, depending on setting
of "Show Whitespace":
Document has two pages (as statusbar shows) when opening with "Show Whitespace"
deselected
Document has two pages when opening with "Show Whitespace" selected

Expected result:
One page also when whitespace is hidden.

Leroy, I would reduce the bug report to that problem. Hope you agree. One
further question: How did you create the document. If there was a page break
before, it might be related to bug 118456.

Also, upon fileopen the image is only showing half part. Hit ENTER will bring
it back to full,

but now if you resize the window, or switch to another window and then come
back to the Writer window again, the image will again show only part of itself.

1. Open the attached test odt file 2;

Here is a patch that lists drawing objects under the Drawing objects category
in the order they appear in the document:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/126627

@Telesto
The reason the Example file tabs and lists OLE objects in the order it does is
because of the positions of the top of the objects frame rectangles in the
document. For objects with the same top position, sort is done by object name.

It's really cool. As libo has to work on all platforms and toolkits, how would
it look like if you show the menubar or the tabs of the tabbed layouts at the
CSD.

I really like how VS Code use the window decoration area
https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/azure/search/media/search-get-started-rest/create-document-2.png

This would save vertical space but would be the same UI than on other
platforms.

Dear Alexander Koster,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Alright guys, I did it! Got libadwaita
(https://gnome.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/libadwaita/doc/main/) to work in
LibreOffice GTK4 build :) Thx @caolan for hinting me at how to add new
libraries to LO.

I tried to get interface done analogous to the mockup presented in
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=139671.

Attached to this ticket, you can see the pictures of the interface. Please let
me know what you think so far :) In general I am very pleased with this
toolkit; especially that it is “just” in the beta state and already delivering
so much nice functionality to use. E.g. as you will see in the pictures, I used
light and dark themes and also made advantage of a TitleViewer that adjusts to
the horizontal space that is left in the titlebar.

P.S.: Do not fear that libadwaita is only made for mobile devices; I have
configured the interface in a way, that it will not take advantage of the small
views.

I can confirm that the issue still exist in 7.2.2.2 64 bit.

Any Calc cell with German as language and a line break in it shows most words
underlined as wrongly written even if they are not.
The underlining disappears if you edit the text in the cell but it appears
again on if you open the document again.

The workaround in comment 24 seems really to work.

Although I hope that it will be really fixed some when.

if in thunderbird I select the image, including some text before and after and
then copy and paste that block, we get text/html and utf-8 encoded text so such
a copy and paste works ok (getTransferData in vcl/unx/gtk3/gtkinst.cxx:853
where there is gtk_selection_data_get_data_with_length)

but then dragging and dropping the same selection gives this problem, again its
claimed to be text/html but its utf-16 encoded (getTransferData in
vcl/unx/gtk3/gtkframe.cxx::4627).

Afaics there's no information available to distinguish the two cases. I'd sort
of expect the dnd case to be the same as the cnp one. It sort of looks like a
bug in the provided data to me, certainly unusual. Unless I miss something the
only recourse we have is to try and repair/detect its true encoding.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Description:
With X11 development becoming slower every day and distros moving to
Wayland-first desktops, I'd appreciate it if LibreOffice dropped hard
dependencies on X11.

I'm on a Gentoo system without any X11-related libraries and tried to compile
LO. After some very hackish changes `configure` went through, but compilation
almost immediately because of missing X11 headers (and, presumably, libraries).

Steps to Reproduce:
Compile LibreOffice on a Wayland-only system without xlib/xcb etc.

Actual Results:
Doesn't build, multiple errors

Expected Results:
Successful compilation

Reproducible: Always

(In reply to Lionel Elie Mamane from comment #0)
> Is this a "known bug" in the OpenDocument specification that is slated for
> fix in the next revision?

There exists OFFICE-4094 which is resolved for ODF 1.4.

The problem has been reported a second time as bug 136615. I set this one as
duplicate.
