Print preview in LO v7.2.4.1 with Epson LX-300+II

I have the same problem using LibreOffice 7.2.4.1 trying to print on an Epson
LX-300+II which is also Dot Matrix printer.

I used the file to reproduce to take the attached screenshot of the bug.

I also tested it on other Dot Matrix printers;
Epson LX-310, bug
Epson LQ-310, no bug

Inclunding the original report's Epson LX-350, the problem might have something
to do with Epson's LX series of printers.
So, I suggest to start looking into that.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146381] New: CONDITIONAL FORMATTING: Using "Colour Scale" based on data from another column

2021-12-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146381

Bug ID: 146381
Summary: CONDITIONAL FORMATTING: Using "Colour Scale" based on
data from another column
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fuc...@ukr.net

Description:
Conditional formatting is the great tool and "Color Scale" is the most
convenient option of it. But regular tables typically begin with columns that
contain non comparable data (such as "Sequence number" or "Name". So logically
(and mostly for display purposes) the cells of this columns have to take the
same colors as corresponding cells from the column where the "Color Scale"
conditional formatting is used.

So it would be nice to apply the "Color Scale" conditional formatting bases on
data from other column, or at least to have an ability to link cell’s format to
cell with condition formatting.

Please find the attached screenshot for clarity.

Steps to Reproduce:
Format / Conditional / Color Scale

Actual Results:
We have only "Cell Range"

Expected Results:
"Formatting Cell Range"
"Conditional Cell Range"

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

There's View->Show Whitespace menu (uncheck to not show top/bottom margins and
headers/footers);

Just use 170%, or whatever fits; but - well, you can always create an example
of a sixe/scale combination that would not fit any given monitor ;)

> 1. Text gets shoved against the left edge of the window, making it much

Just don't expand the Writer's window to the whole screen. Attach it to any
side of the screen, so that it takes 100% height, but 50% (or more) width.

> 2. Footnotes get converted into endnotes. This will make it impossible to
> cross-check the text and the footnotes.

Anyway, the footnotes/endnotes content (or part of it) is shown as tooltips
when you hover your mouse over it...

It should be relatively easy. We already have
rtl_getTextEncodingFromMimeCharset, which seems to be what ucsdet_getName
returns. The only concern here would be false detections, and we could use
ucsdet_getConfidence [1] to filter out unreliable detections.

Feel free to submit a new enhancement, and then fix it - that would be a nice
hack!

The bug is still reproducible as of 7.4.0.0.alpha0+
(40487d9c81c69c4e5ee1621e53c8162ae33c80b2) / Ubuntu, so I doubt that's the
case. Note that it only occurs with the dockable Navigator window (F5), and not
with the Navigator sidebar (actually, it does occur with the sidebar as well,
if the Navigator window is open).

However, my bibisect results with bibisect-linux-64-7.1 are different, and

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146380] New: (Enhancement) More View Options

2021-12-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146380

Bug ID: 146380
   Summary: (Enhancement) More View Options
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: erw...@alumni.beloit.edu

LibreOffice Writer has 2 view options:

1. Normal View and

2. Web View

In my experience, normal view has the following problems:

1. The top and botten margins each take an inordinate amount of space, making
it hard to cross-check a list which goes over the edge.

2. The top of a standard letter-sized page doesn't fit on the screen at the
same time as the bottom. Even using a giant 22" monitor, if I zoom standard
9-pt text to 200% to read it. This can make it hard to cross-check the text and
the footnotes. One workaround is to change the paper size...

And web view has the following problems:

1. Text gets shoved against the left edge of the window, making it much harder
to read, and making attempts to scroll into migaine triggers.

2. Footnotes get converted into endnotes. This will make it impossible to
cross-check the text and the footnotes.

I think alternative view options would be useful, such as

1. keeping side margins, but hiding top and bottom margins.

2. splitting pages to bring footnotes into view.

The only thing that I did was create a csv file using Drupal code. Possibly
opening that caused this problem but how can I undo that? I can't keep using

This problem isn't fixed yet until I can operate as I used to.

ok. Would it be difficult to implement it so that in future you could change
context menu of navigator through Tools -- Customize -- Context menus? Or
perhaps even the navigator toolbar (although I don't use the toolbar but I

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146281] [Feature Request] BaseDocumenter extension in Firebird not working

2021-12-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146281

Like Miklos pointed out in [1] (especially on slide 4) it is not easy to solve
something "trivial" like the optionals which continue to give me headaches :)

However, in [2] we could only copy the pInfo over to the variable if there is a
missing parameter. Otherwise, the pInfo should be constructed from scratch.
Initially, I thought that pInfo will be used only for methods, and therefore
the check !dynamic_cast() should exclude all of them, but
apparently it isn't the case. I will try to come up with a patch, but I can't
think of an automated test since the original test in tdf#136143 missed the
problem.

Created attachment 177102
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=177102=edit
Eigenschaften mit Menüpunkt

But it is the anchoring and not the positioning.
I want to anchor a text, images etc. to a point and also in the German
translation there is talk of "Verankerung", both under Properties and in the
context menu.
That this point belongs in this menu is explained by the fact that they are the
same points that do the same tasks.

Maybe we are talking at cross purposes or you mean something completely
different as I do, but here it is clearly a bug, because an important item is
missing.

I also think that this item was there in previous versions, but I haven't used
it in a long time, so I don't know when it was.

Since it works with 7.2.4.1 the culprit is not tdf#136143. However, I think it
is a regression from tdf#144353 (Assigning a missing optional variable to a

a) I was also able to reproduce the effect with an own table.
b) It's not "the table" what remains after . But it's something looking
like a table, but you can't enter it.
c) and it's not the complete table structure which remains- only the final
table looking area from step 6 result.
c1)And that area is something strange: it looks like a table, but you can't
enter it after step 6 ...
d) The problem is not a simple problem. You can't select and delete
   that area after step 6. It's a phantom ;-)
e) If you search document from step 6 for "Платником" from most bottom cell
(Table 10 A1) you will find that cell in document from after step 6. but the
table looking area below seems to be completely new?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146264] Export to XHTML duplicates text in list item

2021-12-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146264

Hej Tor,

I am about to power down for the holiday season, something similar I had fixed
years ago, but can not remember

The input content.xml of your bug.odt shows:

ODF INTPUT:

Hello

HTML OUTPUT:

  •

Hello
 Hello

The ODF output shows first the image and beyond the list bullet with the
"Hello" text.
As you see from the comments that are provided in the HTML output that the
error is likely in the xhtml/body.xsl.
Obviously, the span content is being matched twice by XSLT.

I have not worked a while with XSLT and quite busy with other tasks, guess I
have to pass on this one. Have a nice holiday season...

Hmm. Thanks, but no.

> version?

Fedora. The download gave me many relocatable RPMs. I just ran the installer
script that came with the download, which seemed like it was the preferred
installation method. But, that script doesn't have any uninstall option, and
the RPMs were not installed, just unpacked, it seems. I'm guessing I can just
delete the directory where they were installed, but it would be nice to know
for sure.

Latest LO packaged for F34 is v7.1.7.2 and it does not exhibit this bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146377] New: Error doesn't propagate as first parameter in IF when "IfFalse" contains ISERROR or IFERROR

2021-12-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146377

Bug ID: 146377
Summary: Error doesn't propagate as first parameter in IF when
"IfFalse" contains ISERROR or IFERROR
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.4.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pdenhollan...@info-care.nl

Description:
Consider these 2 formulas:
=IF(NA();1;2)
=IF(NA();1;IFERROR(NA();2))
The NA() propagates in the first formula as expected, and the result it #N/A.
In the second formula, the NA() somehow doesn't propagate. It evalutes the
"IfFalse" parameter, and gives that as result. The second formula evaluates to
2. Even if the error in the "IfFalse" parameter is unrelated, it will still not
propagate the condition error, e.g.:
=IF(NA();1;2+IFERROR(#DIV/0!;2))
This evaluates to 4.

>From what I've read in the OpenDocument recalculated formula specification,
errors as function parameters should propagate unless noted otherwise, and in
this case I don't think it's noted otherwise.

At first I tried asking about it on the "ask libreoffice" website, but it seems
like a bug, so posting it here seems more appropriate.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have an error value in the first parameter of an IF, and use IFERROR or
ISERROR in the 3rd parameter of the IF, e.g.: =IF(NA();1;IFERROR(NA();2))

Actual Results:
The "IfFalse" parameter is evaluted.

Expected Results:
The error value propagates.

Reproducible: Always

Also the problem is not a 5.2 regression: since 5.3 the example docx is
imported to end with a section, this was not the case in 5.2. But the odt was
bad before that.

Deleting all from the attachment 177098 created a tracked deletion in:

Verzió: 3.6.0.4 (Build az.: 932b512)

In 4.0 and 4.1 deletion crashed Writer.

Since 4.2.0 Writer does not crash, neither records a tracked change/does delete
all content.

Screenshot of own reproducer documents after CTRL-A, Del

This happens because the document finishes with a section.

In the left side file tracked deleting works, the section is followed by an
empty paragraph.
The right side file (just like the former two examples) lacks this last empty
paragraph, the section is the last thing. Ctrl-A and Delete does not record a
deletion, nor does an untracked deletion.

Hello,
Follow View -> User Interface
Choose Tabbed and Apply to all.
And then follow Extension.
The epub icons must be visible only with Writer.
Or they are visible with all other components Calc, Draw, etc.
That is the problem.

The code in Addon_new.xcu is :

com.sun.star.text.TextDocument

macro:///writer2epub.A_main.writer2epubMain

%origin%/icons/logo

writer2epub

_self

The Context is only "com.sun.star.text.TextDocument", so icons must visible

I have reinstalled LibreOffice and also Restarted MacOS (11.16.1) and it hasn't
helped.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open csv file

Actual Results:
Liberation Sans and the size is 10

Expected Results:
Larger font size and different font

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I can't find how to set the font to a readable size and the column widths and
row heights.
