[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148314] File corruption after crash
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148314 --- Comment #3 from Simon --- So I have gone back to a saved file a few weeks old and started updating it with Calc v 7.3. The same thing happened, a crash, recovery, and weird stuff happening within minutes. Tried the same with 7.2 and similar thing. No obvious trigger for crash, was doing different things. Each time tried the simple example formula from first post (cumulating) and got the fixed result of 2 when copied. Then I installed version 6.4 and was able to update without problems, so far about six hours of work without a problem. So it points to a bug in version 7. Its not a good thing when CALC cant calculate the simplest formula! So lesson learned, to save files more often - I used to but got blase with problem free running for the past couple of years. It is a weird bug - even =NA() was returning zero. Entering a formula worked, but copying it was the problem. I have the corrupted file if anyone wants a look, it is big though at 2.5MB Simon -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148051 --- Comment #16 from rtpb...@gmail.com --- I have the exact same problem as SAM, and I have tried all his fixes as well with no resolution, and though I cannot prove it, I am almost 100% sure that it is related to the last 2 monterey updates, i have the latest and greatest in the hopes that somehow that would help, but like I said, I think its the opposite. I can install any version of libreoffice and they all crash within minutes, making the entire suite unusable, it crashes in calc and writer, essentially all the time, at this point, I have to use something else, a shame, because I have been using libreoffice for the past 3 years at least, though a few bugs here and there, never something this serious... and I am concerned about the corruption of all my files, as I have to force quit the app all the time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148329] New: Accept Hebrew Maqaf for '-' in search pattern
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148329 Bug ID: 148329 Summary: Accept Hebrew Maqaf for '-' in search pattern Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: eyalr...@gmx.com Blocks: 112812 The Hebrew language uses a character named Maqaf - essentially a top hyphen - instead of the Latin languages' inter-word hyphen. It is not a dash (neither en nor em), and is not used as a minus sign. More about this character: https://codepoints.net/U+05BE Now, a Maqaf does not appear on the Hebrew keyboard; and in Hebrew files written on PCs rather the professionally typeset, it is more common than not to find hyphens used instead. When you open a document, you can't know for sure whether Maqaf's will be used, or hyphens/minus characters, or some of those and some of those. For this reason, it would be useful if, when searching a document using patterns involving a minus sign or a Maqaf - each of those characters would match, i.e. a search for בר-כוח would also match בר־כוח (note the top hyphen!) and vice-versa. This relaxed match should qualified so that the double-match would only be accepted for Maqafs/hyphens which come between two other Hebrew characters; or perhaps at the end or the beginning of a sequence of Hebrew characters (a bit more lax of a restriction). Only thing I see as wrong is that Enhancements are kept as Medium or rarely High priority, and that mostly based on a number of CCs or duplicates, Highest is downgraded. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147304 --- Comment #8 from HTK300 --- Hi Dieter, David, just installed LO 7.4.0.0 alpha. The difference now, when I open the Find & Replace dialog from within the Edit menue it now appears in the center of the other desktop screen. Earlier in 7.3.x it appeared somewhat at the lower right corner of the other desktop screen. Remember, I maximized WRITER on the extended desktop, there I started to Find and Replace something, but the dialog to enter my search/replace string happens to show up on the primary desktop screen means on the other Display well at least it is kind of centered horizontally and vertically. If that is what you wanted, well okay. I assumed it should be shown on the same screen where the WRITER app is attached/maximized to. best, Harry -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This causes the layout > (structure of the printout) to be not regular (in my case: 4 records per > page) You have grouped the report by date. There are two rows with the same date. Both rows will appear in one group. Seems you want to see the content for every City together with the date. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148319 Bug ID: 148319 Summary: EDITING deleting cells with dependency must issue warning Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@chricar.at If a referenced cell is deleted using Delete row/column/sheet command the former dependent cells show #REF! without a hint where it pointed earlier. if these cells are on another sheet this often fatal result of an editing operation remains undetected for a long time. reconstruction often takes hours if possible at all in big sheets. simple example to reproduce A1=1 A2=2 A3=3 A4=A1+A2+A3 now delete row 2 A4= #REF! and shows =A1+A#REF!+A2 suggestion: In case a #REF! is detected a popup message should be raised "Do you want to delete referenced cell(s) A2 ?" YES/NO - where NO is default. Hope this makes sense for an "office" product. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44571] FORMATTING Writer should support Checkmark lists
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44571 Eyal Rozenberg changed: What|Removed |Added Version|unspecified |Inherited From OOo --- Comment #5 from Eyal Rozenberg --- I believe this request should be split in two; or at least considered as two separate issues: 1. Support for checkmark-lists _existing_, regardless of how one creates them. 2. The autocorrect-ish detection of brackets [ ], and their replacement with checkmark lists The second feature is just extra convenience and not required for the first to already be usable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 147721] Autostart not functioning when running a presentation on loop and repeat
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147721 --- Comment #9 from PeeWee --- Hello Scott I have found the solution and the Impress user guide will be changed to include the solution. The info from LO Impress help gave me the idea. In Slide Transition on the Sidebar, you have to set Advance Slide > After to a minimum of 1 sec for Loop and repeat to work. I think we can close this bug, but do not know how to do that. Regards PeeWee -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 147721] Autostart not functioning when running a presentation on loop and repeat
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147721 --- Comment #8 from PeeWee --- Hello Scott (again you say) I have done a bit of searching in LO Help and this is what I found for running a presentation unattended or in kiosk mode. Regards Peewee Showing an automatic slide show (kiosk mode) For an automatic change to the next slide, you must assign a slide transition to each slide. Open the Slide Transition sidebar deck. In the Advance Slide area, click After and enter a time duration. Click Apply Transition to All Slides. tip You can assign a different time for every slide to advance to the next slide. The rehearse timings feature can assist you to get the timing right. To advance to the first slide, after all slides have been shown, you must set the slide show to repeat automatically. Choose Slide Show - Slide Show Settings. In the Presentation Mode area, choose Loop and repeat after and set the duration of the pause between shows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147721 --- Comment #7 from PeeWee --- Hello Scott There should be no need to press the spacebar or click with the mouse to advance the presentation onto the next slide. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 147721] Autostart not functioning when running a presentation on loop and repeat
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147721 --- Comment #6 from PeeWee --- (In reply to Scott Clewell from comment #5) > Hey PeeWee, > I followed your well documented steps but cannot reproduce the bug. > > I click or space bar through the template slides and after 5 seconds it > loops to the first slide. Hello Scott In my opinion, the purpose of Loop and repeat is to allow a presentation to continuously run unattended after the presentation has been started. What is the point of Loop and repeat if you have to restart the presentation after the presentation returns to the first slide? What is missing is the Autostart function.
