Thanks > for responding so fast! Your change to get something fixed is much higher in case of bite-sized and clearly framed issues. From quickly glancing over #0 I understand 1. and 3., 4. is somewhat difficult since we use the system theme, or should do so, 2. with "visual noise" and 5. with "poorly aligned" needs specification. It does not mean implementing a couple of patches for this broad topic is impossible. And some issues might have also been reported. I remember discussions on a11y, the tab size, and white space. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149428] New: Formatting of number AFTER the decimal point not saved in .ods
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149428 Bug ID: 149428 Summary: Formatting of number AFTER the decimal point not saved in .ods Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.6.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: r435g391b823-comp176...@yahoo.com.au Description: Cell Number Format is lost when sheet is saved and closed/reopened, or reloaded. The formatting that is lost are any user defined formats for the numbers AFTER the decimal point. when the format is changed it works, then when the sheet is reloaded it is munged. Eg format #,##0._i_i00correctly formats a number to 0.0001 5299 00 But after closing/reloading becomes #,##0.00" " and the number formatting is lost. Doesn't affect .xlsx and .xlsm format sheets, but I lose all my buttons and macros in those save file format versions. Updated libreOffice to latest 7.3.3.2 release and still occurs as described above. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Place a number in a cell with 2 or more digits After the decimal point, eg 0.158932. I use mainly 8, 10 and 12 digits after the dot. 2. Change formatting of that cell to user defined format which formats the numbers AFTER the decimal point, eg #,##0._i000_i000. Any formatting such as _i or _M or " " or \- or \ , anything that makes the numbers more readable. Eg #,##0._i_i00, which correctly formats a number to 0.0001 5299 00 3. Save the sheet, and either close/reopen or FileMenu->Reload it. 4. The cell becomes a long string of unformatted digits again, and the user defined format string has changed, eg #,##0._i_i00 becomes #,##0.00" " and the number formatting is lost. The number of spaces now appearing in double-quote marks at the end of the format string bears some relationship to the formatting/spaces in the working format before saving/closing. Actual Results: Cell format changes and numbers are no longer formatted as they were. Expected Results: Formatting of numbers after the decimal point should be retained. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.3.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: d1d0ea68f081ee2800a922cac8f79445e4603348 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-AU (en_AU); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149254] Make the selection behavior when double-clicking a word a user preference.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149254 --- Comment #11 from Chris --- Heiko Tietze, you are correct of course. I'm looking for a consistent experience that I can adjust to my needs. If I could adjust it, double-clicking a word would act like MS-Word which selects the word plus the trailing space. A delete or a backspace removes the word, plus the trailing space. Overtyping preserves the space, or more correctly, replaces the trailing space. There may be some other options, but this is something that I've grown used to, and I'd prefer not to have to re-learn how to use the word processor as I'm trying to write or edit a document. Thanks for your consideration. I don't want to add to bloat, and I really don't want to complicate configuration menus, but this one feature would be really helpful as I edit my writing. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149425 Bug ID: 149425 Summary: EDITING: Business Cards Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: p...@pfortin.com Created attachment 180529 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=180529=edit dialog when creating new document Trying to create simple Business cards: some text, an image overlaid with colored text (created in oodraw) copied/pasted. After restarting several times, some of the below issues seemed cleared up; but the Synch button disappeared making the Business Card feature useless. Issues: 1. moving image with arrow keys worked; but Alt+arrow moves underlying frame instead of find-tuning image location -- image was clearly selected. To see this, place text cursor in another card frame and press Alt+arrow multiple times. The frame is not selected, yet moves. 2. Trying to start fresh, the Business Cards dialog: Medium Private Business [Format] Options displayed HUGE text over the image: V. from V.Pitch Co from Columns maybe some other text; I only noticed the source text because the V. and Co were not in card I was designing. 3. Saved and re-0pened document, hoping to get Sync button back -- nope. 4. File>New>Business Cards; (dialog now looks fine): Format settings: 3.50", 2.00", 3.50", 2.00", 0.25", 0.25", 2, 5, 7.25", 10.25" (the last two are calculated) then click New Document and page layout is wrong... I see only side-by-side frames in rows 1,3,4 (missing 2 & 5); plus Page Format in right panel shows 3.94" x 3.94" While repeating the New Document sequence to make sure I'm reporting correctly, in once case the Sync Labels button (SLB) appeared momentarily; otherwise, no show. Ah ha... this new, incorrect document window left panel has Frame AND Sections visible; I can make the Sync Labels button appear by moving the mouse over that window. If I now place my working document window (no SLB) covering most of the window with SLB but bad size; I can move the mouse over the barely visible window, SLB appears. Move the mouse over the window without SLB, the SLB disappears, reappears, and disappears within less than one second (a short flash). Closed LO. Started oowriter fresh. Stilll no SLB... Try again with New Document; still get bad layout (item 4 above); but now the SLB doesn't appear... :p Giving up... will try to create and manually sync in oodraw... LOL... trying to get screen shots and noticed SLB on New Document appears on far side of other monitor; but not for the original document I was working on. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135257] Track and changes show doesn't show the expected bullets
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135257 Michael Stahl (allotropia) changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords|regression | --- Comment #8 from Michael Stahl (allotropia) --- this happens because Backspace is handled specially to remove numbering from an empty paragraph. if you first Show the tracked changes, then backspace like in the description, the result was different in LO 6.1: the result is that the paragraph is not in a list, but still indented - now Hide and Show tracked changes, and it's still not in a list, but no longer indented. on master this works better, as the backspacing removes the indent as well, so it looks the same after editing as after a subsequent Hide/Show. so the problem here is that there is no recording of the actual formatting change when the numbering is removed - this has never been implemented for editing (although László Németh added something for imported tracked changes relatively recently, which i haven't had an opportunity to test). without being able to store the previous formatting, this can't really work and so i think the scenario in this bug isn't really a regression, it just happened to work in different case back then than it does now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137252 heine.ferre...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|UNCONFIRMED Version|7.0.1.2 release |7.3.3.2 release Ever confirmed|1 |0 Resolution|FIXED |--- Hardware|All |x86-64 (AMD64) --- Comment #7 from heine.ferre...@gmail.com --- I made a mistake. The bug is still there. Access 2000,2002-2003. You can open it with ADO and ODBC drivers but NOT Access driver. It gives the error message "data provider perhaps not installed". odbc driver: Only viewing possible. When editing it gives the error message "not a valid bookmark". ado: Full viewing and editing possible. Access 365 database with Access 2007 driver: Only viewing of data possible, no editing. Access 365 database with latest Access ODBC driver: Only viewing possible. Trying to edit data gives error "not a valid bookmark". Access 365 database with ADO. Only viewing possible. Doesn't give any error message when trying to edit data. It just doesn't allow you to edit data. The 2007-2016 database attached is in fact an access 365 database. I don't know how to test the java driver but I can tell you that the product dbeaver community edition uses java driver UCanAccess and that does work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
