This regressed in two steps. First the image wasn't shown at all after the
following commit in 4.2 (commit ported from AOO):

Then that got fixed with this commit in 4.4, but the image was now imported
squashed:

caused the image to be rendered with 1 pixel width after commit

Dear Telesto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

I am seeing the same problem using LibreOffice 7.3.3.2 on Ubuntu 22.04 using
wayland.

The texts become blurry when I move the window to a HiDPI display with 200%

The texts become sharp when I move the window to a normal display with 100%

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149512] Please implement intuitive way to move lines/rows

2022-06-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149512

Hi Rafael,

and thank you. I'm aware that lines can be moved by mouse drag It works
fine for small tables. But please consider this scenario:

- You have a spreadsheet with 5 tables
- Each table contains 10,000 rather random looking lines
- You need to make lots of manual line moves, in some cases multiple lines
- Some of the moves go from one table to another

In this scenario, drag is not only impractical but impossible.

In Microsoft Excel, easy moving of lines without mouse has always been
possible:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/move-or-copy-cells-rows-and-columns-3ebbcafd-8566-42d8-8023-a2ec62746cfc

>Select the cell, row, or column that you want to move or copy.
>Do one of the following:
>To move rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click
> Cut Button image or press CTRL+X.
>To copy rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click
> Copy Button image or press CTRL+C.
>Right-click a row or column below or to the right of where you want to move or
>copy your selection, and then do one of the following:
> When you are moving rows or columns, click Insert Cut Cells.
> When you are copying rows or columns, click Insert Copied Cells.

I think it would be extremely useful to have this really basic functionality in
Calc, too. In fact, I've always wondered why it has never been implemented!

Left border from character style lost (before/after the paragraph was assigned
in TOC)

Description:
Border and Padding from character style are modified when the paragraph is
assigned to a table of content or index.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a character style with border and padding.
2. Create a paragraph style without border or padding.
3. Write a title and apply the new styles.
4. Both the border and the padding from the character style are displayed.
5. Create a table of content and assign the new paragraph style as additionnal
style.

Actual Result:
The title loses both the left border and padding.

Expected Result:
The title should display the character style as expected without modification.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It is not acceptable to adjust the character style in such a way when a
paragraph is assigned in an index or table of contents. Tested in LibreOffice
7.3 and LibreOfficeDev 7.4 but I think this bug is very old (maybe inherited
from OOo), though I couldn't find any trace of a bug report; so I didn't
specify a version. Thank you.

When opening a PDF in hebrew, you can't read it because the text and entire

I did fresh install of LibreOffice only for editing PDFs. Apperantly you can't

2022-06-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121847

I have re-checked this bug in a recent version of LibreOffice (version 7.3.3.2
under Linux). Summary: The behavior improved a lot, but is not fully gone, yet.

The originally decribed bug is STILL PRESENT and can still be reproduced with
the steps I described in my very first comment. After the last click in the
"notes" view tab, the slide marking still fully disappears.

But now the behavior has already improved a bit: After clicking the "normal"
view tab, the slide marking now re-appears. This makes this bug much less
severe in my eyes. Nevertheless, it would still be nice to get fully rid of it.

My recent tests were done with:
Version: 7.3.3.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d1d0ea68f081ee2800a922cac8f79445e4603348

My apologies for not providing all the details.

I've attached the screenshot of the file as viewed in Linux and the text
wrapping is noticeable there. (Earlier we were using headless LibreOffice for
convert-to). So I believe that makes it a FILEOPEN issue? The font used is
Trebuchet. This sounds similar to Bug 62422.

Would you like me to create separate issues for the Page number not resolving

As I indicated in the comment:

Bug ID: 149518
Summary: Enhancement request: Export to html (and all other
'save-to' formats)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cbee...@gmail.com

Description:
Libre Office can save a document in various formats. While saving to an other
format, the document itself is set to this new format.
Libre Office can export a document in several other formats. While exporting to
the other format, the document itself is not altered.

With the above difference in mind, I'd like to be able to export to all the
formats that can be used as 'save-as'. Hence, for a writer-document, while
editing document.odt, I'd like to be able to export to html, just like save-as
html with the major exeption that the document itself stays in the document.odt
format.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open document.odt
2. fileExport has no html option
3. fileSave-as html alters the document due to incompatibilities.
4. fileSave-as doc is based on the html version.
If there is an fileExport option for the save-as file-types, the order to
create these file-types should not result in different documents.

Actual Results:
It is accepted that after an save-as, the current document is altered to this
new file-type with its differences to the origional.
It is just that I expected to be able to export to all the save-as formats that
does not alter my origional.

Expected Results:
After an export-to or export-as, the current document is not altered to the new
filetype, subsequent file handling like save or export-to have no 'unexpected'
results.
If there is an fileExport option for the save-as file-types, the order to
create these file-types should not result in different documents.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Once there is an export-to for a format like html, it can be extended like the
export to epub or export to pdf to tweak the result. Like 'clean html' and/or
create a document in a directory with one file per chapter (an html-book like
the tool amaya creates).

2022-06-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149519

There's definitely something weird here. If you replace the contents in cells
B2:B5 (the telephone numbers) by something else (e.g. 1, 2, 3 and 4), then
sorting works as expected.

For some reason, these numbers are messing with sorting.

Fortunately you're using an up-to-date version of LibO.

just be re-closed as WF. But to spur discussion I will reopen anyway.

> This one is WontFix, so it was really better to consider it a duplicate.

Was this possibility discussed? Or is it your personal belief that it should
not be fixed?

> But I advise you to search more before submitting.

I did search... although, you know, if I had better access to the set of
component meta bugs, I would have gone through the blockers of
"Toolbars-Context-Menu", and would have found the other bug. Still, it's not a
dupe, so...

> Do *not* change status set by a member of QA team.

Sure I will. This was a perfect example: This bug is not a dupe of the other
one. Of course, I don't get to decide whether it's WONTFIX or not, so I'm not
changing that, but I'll definitely correct wrong marking of dupes - like I have
for years.

As for you - please refrain from closing bugs submitted in good faith, by a
responsive QA contributor, without allowing for objections first, or
alternatively making it clear that you are ok with the reporter reopening if
necessary.

> You may call someone else from the QA or UX in CC if you disagree.

narrow down the issue for reproduction, I will add a copy without our company

As additional information in the navigator I don't use special characters like

issue. I try to avoid them since they are programming characters.

I can confirm that indeed padding and borders are different in Windows, as
shown in attachment 180663 by the OP.

I agree they should be presented the same way. But the question is which of
them should we use? IMO we should go with the one currently used for normal
tooltips, since it looks lighter.
