[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140071] Too long to get data when it get 'Refresh' on pivot table option

2022-07-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140071

Hi,

External Database only. Tested locally (localhost) and under intranet network
the time is ok, take a several seconds. But when you mount that database on an
external internet server, we get the issue; moreover, consider in this case,
that Using libreoffice Base, data can be reach in seconds. But, when you use
pivot table under libreoffice calc, the issue is evident.

About the files, let me mount the database on a server, and I sent to you the
IP address, and aunthentication in order to reproduce this issue.

Actually, because it’s a long time I’ve submitted this bug, it’s possible this
issue has been fixed, in that case I let you know.

Thanks for you support.

Regards,

> Step 3 just reloads silently for me. No pop ups.

I still repro this on latest master. I'll try to make the repro more detailed:

1. Create an invalid lock file for a to be opened
   - This can be done by copying the lockfile of an open document. For
example, if you have a Writer document foo.odt, the lockfile should exist in
the same directory as .~lock.foo.odt#. Copy that file, close the Writer
document, then rename the copied file to .~lock.foo.odt#. Then, edit
.~lock.foo.odt# and change the machine name (which is after the second comma)
to "test".
2. Open the and select to open as read-only when the UI pops up
   - Open foo.odt and you should see a pop-up titled "Document in Use". Click
the button for "Open Read-Only"
3. Click File->Reload and click cancel when the UI pops up
   - You should see a pop-up titled "Document in Use". Click the button for
"Cancel"
4. Click File->Reload again and observe no pop-up

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 150177] New: macOS Wildly blinking cursor and non-visible selection issues

2022-07-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150177

Bug ID: 150177
Summary: macOS Wildly blinking cursor and non-visible selection
issues
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: will.brokenbourgh2...@gmail.com

With both a long-time prefs folder and newly-created prefs folder (under
/Users/user/Library/Application Support), after launching LibreOffice 7.3.5.2
on macOS 12.5 Intel, then after creating a new Writer document, the cursor
blinks wildly inside the document and when I attempt to double-click a word or
click-drag to select it, the selection does not show up.

On more involved documents, there are artifacts of previous cursor positions
and some text also do not show where they are supposed to.

Please see this video for basic information about the issue:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxzX2dbxZio

Thank you!

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150167

what would be a good manner to instantiate them? why the createUnoService does
not return the good service ?

i have to copy rich text from Calc cells to comments and from comments to cells
: so i search a generic way to get the character/paragraph properties to
reproduce formatting. I saw examples that analyze the property names of a
textRange (getPropertySetInfo => getProperties : first 4 letters = "char" or
"para" but it's not very clean i think).

As they belong to the services characterProperties/paragraphProperties, i
wanted to instantiate the service to accuraterly list his properties and only
them.

does exist another way to achieve that?

Unfortunately your screenshot hides the most important thing: the options used
for import. Apparently you checked both Comma and Space as separators, and also
Merge delimiters (at least with those options I get a similar wrong preview).
Check only Comma and make sure Merge delimiters is unchecked, then the import
is fine. With Character set Unicode (UTF-8).

Data series in Excel

The Excel chart has a fixed value using "={1}" as its series values. See
attached screenshot for more info.

In LibreOffice this fixed value is not imported. Apparently LO cannot handle
"={1}" in the "Range for Y-values".

This is clearly an import issue.

Hello,

In Safe Mode scrolling is as it should be. I have not seen blocking or
terminating of Calc.
In Normal mode scrolling blocks and Calc terminates after a short while as
described earlier in 150157.

So I've recently downloaded this database, which, is imported successfully and

Though, on LibreOffice Calc, Columns are read with errors.

For example, row 5 column author_flair_richtext should have a value of "[]" but

When the Excel 2010 document provided with this issue is opened in LibreOffice
Calc 7.3.4.2, the data for the charts is missing.

Please see attached screenshots comparing the view in Excel and Calc

This issue is similar to #83307, but has more chart types and has xlsx (not
xls)

Our final use case is Export to PDF on Linux, but since the view is incorrect
on Windows, the exported PDF is also missing the data (on Windows and Linux).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. View the "Chart Insert excel 2010.xlsx" attached to this issue
2. Compare the view of Sheet 1 in Excel and Calc

Actual Results:
Chart data are missing for all charts on Sheet 1

Expected Results:
View of Sheet 1 in Calc should match Excel

Reproducible: Always

Tools -> Customize context menus for sc Cell - Paste; Format attributes not
available

OK, so there are two asks here.

1. an UNO command to make the InsAttrs action [1] of the sc Paste Special
dialog's 'Formats _Only' preset available via Tools -> Customize. For use as an
UNO availble to add to context menus, toolbars or menu customization.

2. new source to make column width an attribute available to paste

1 is reasonable; 2 is not.

2022-07-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150171

Bug ID: 150171
Summary: Apple Silicon version of LibreOffice appears as an IOS
app not a "Universal" app.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: ARM
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: david.snow0...@gmail.com

Description:
Most macOS applications that have been updated from Intel are compiled so that
they are "Universal" and can run on either Intel or Arm. It is also possible to
install IOS applications on a M1 MacBook since both the iPad and Macbook use
Arm processors.

LibreOffice is the first and ONLY app that I have run across that doesn't come
from the IOS-App-Store that is listed as IOS!

Why isn't LibreOffice being compiled as a Universal app?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Apple menu "About this Mac"
2. Go to "System Report"
3. Select Software / Applications
4. Find LibreOffice and compare with other applications

Actual Results:
LibreOffice is an IOS Application

Expected Results:
It should be a Universal Appl

Crash when selecting non-contiguous rows. I wanted to select alternate rows to
highlight with yellow fill. I selected row 3 and did yellow fill. Then I wanted
to select rows 5, 7, 9, 11 (ctrl-click) to highlight at once, but when I did,
CALC crashed. I tried it 2 - 3 times with identical results. Then I selected
one row at a time and it worked. Now that I try to recreate the problem, it
does not crash.
