@Julien Nabet:
At the moment rather not, to me the effort for a registration on 'gerrit' is a
bit disproportionate to write literally a `dot` into a file.
(May be also I would need to `git pull…` the WHOLE Lo-Source to make it happen
??)

I can't tell if this is applicable (or if my test shows Excel storing those
strings in a different internal structure, and thus comparing apples to
oranges?), but MS Excel 2016 allows storing that long URLs also in XLS. So at
least in this case, a *possible* fix could be to just increase the limit for
all uses.

Dear Telesto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

The fixed document created with Word

This document was fixed after ungrouping all the shapes (the uppermost and the
downmost), then regrouping only the downmost shapes to put them on the correct
place.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 150255] New: FILEOPEN: DOCX Drawing objects / shapes from Microsoft Word are misplaced on the page

2022-08-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150255

Bug ID: 150255
Summary: FILEOPEN: DOCX Drawing objects / shapes from Microsoft
Word are misplaced on the page
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: joaopauloag-freedesk...@yahoo.com.br

Description:
A document with grouped shapes / drawings created with Microsoft Word has the
drawings / shapes incorrectly positioned when opened with LibreOffice Writer.

The document has 12 shapes / drawings grouped together, the uppermost drawings
should be on top of the page and the downmost drawings should be on the bottom
on the page (see "PDF created with Word.pdf"), but LibreOffice Writer puts them
almost an inch from the top and from the bottom (see "PDF created with
LibreOffice Writer").

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the "PDF created with Word.pdf" to see how the Word document is
supposed to look like.
2. Open the "Word original document.docx" with LibreOffice Writer.
2. Verify the shapes / drawings positions differ from the PDF generated with
Word.

Actual Results:
The "PDF created with LibreOffice Writer.pdf" shows how the shapes / drawings
appear inside LibreOffice Writer.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should show the shapes / drawings as in "PDF created with
Word.pdf".

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I can fix this by using Microsoft Word to ungroup the shapes / drawings in the
original document and saving, LibreOffice Writer opens the document and shows
the shapes in the positions they should be (see "Word fixed document.docx").

However, not everyone has Microsoft Word to edit (or fix) the document, so this
workaround is less than ideal.

All those XclExpString instances that truncate to 255 probably need to
distinguish between BIFF and OOXML export and truncate only for BIFF. Just
guessing, untested. (if OOXML actually allows longer strings in that context).

Hi,
To make it clear:

In Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars, I can add the "hide menu" button on :
- standard
- standard (single mode)
- standard (viewing mode)

Result : these correctly add the "hide menu" is visible on "Standard toolbard"
and "Standard single" user interface variant, ONLY.

What is missing : contextual single. There is no may to add it there.

Can you confirm that you can add it to contextual single ui ?

I can't seem to reproduce with either gtk3 or with a windows build. From the
crash reports it might be that the toolbar is somehow gone by the time some
status update arrives. Is the fontworks toolbar a "floating" one appearing in
its own toplevel utility window, or is it the more normal case where it is
attached to the main window?

Thank you for your new feedback.

I gave a try with https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/137768.
It's not a fix per se just a patch to blacklist Iris driver (which seems to use
device id="0x9a49") on Windows for any version instead of just a specific
version of the driver.

Luboš/Ilmari: as you may have seen, I put you as reviewers of the patch if
you've got some opinion here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 150253] New: XCell::setFormula() for AddIn functions works only with programmatic name

2022-08-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150253

Bug ID: 150253
Summary: XCell::setFormula() for AddIn functions works only
with programmatic name
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: er...@redhat.com

This macro leads to #NAME? error because the EDATE name is not recognized as it
is implemented as an AddIn function and the formula API for XCell::setFormula()
for AddIns handles only the PODF programmatic names due to legacy reasons:

> Sub Main
> row=3
> ThisComponent.Sheets.getByIndex(0).getCellByPosition(3,row-1).setFormula("=EDATE($B"&(row)&";$C"&(row)&")")
> End Sub

Using the programmatic name com.sun.star.sheet.addin.Analysis.getEdate instead
of EDATE works and yields the expected working =EDATE($B3;$C3) formula:

> Sub Main
> row=3
> ThisComponent.Sheets.getByIndex(0).getCellByPosition(3,row-1).setFormula("=com.sun.star.sheet.addin.Analysis.getEdate($B"&(row)&";$C"&(row)&")")
> End Sub

Bug ID: 150252
Summary: LibreOffice print-display blank, prints blank sheet
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

LibreOffice print-display blank, prints blank sheet ...

LibreOffice was working fine (except for some random crashes - no clue why).

Was doing File>>Print>> proper display of the pages to print, successful print.

Yesterday, the pre-print display came up blank, print was blank.

The issue document is only 73 pages at the moment. Essential the print works
... I'm publishing a book and author depending on me.

Action:

Logged out of iMac, relog back in. Still blank.

Rebooted iMac, still blank.

Updated iMac 11.6.8 Big Sur (was updated already, but new? update came in
overnight. Still blank.

File>>Print Preview DOES DISPLAY, but when I select icon to print, the Print
Screen is, as before, BLANK.

In addition to Writer, I checked a spreadsheet I print from regularly. That
fails to print as well.

The page count shows correct page numbers, but as I click through the pages,
they are all blank.

raal,

With the dev version, I cannot get it to crash by creating non-contiguous
selections. I went back to make sure my 7.3.5.2 installation still crashes with
the same actions and it does. So, either something in the newer code base fixes
it for me or something in my old installation caused it.
Thanks!

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Created attachment 181565
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=181565=edit
Example file from Calc

Attached file contains two comment boxes with some text.
For the first, I set custom spacing to borders, for the second I left the
defaults.
When saved to XLSX and reloaded, these are lost and replaced with default
values. In Excel, these defaults are greater than in Calc, so the text does not
fit inside the comment boxes anymore.

1. Open attached file, it has two comment boxes. First one (A1) has Left: 0.2
cm, Right: 0.3 cm, Top: 0 cm, Bottom: 0.15 cm. The second one (A9) has default
0.1 cm for all.
See Format - Text box and Shape - Text dialog.
2. Save as XLSX and open it:
2/A: in Calc both boxes have 0.1 cm borders.
2/B: in Excel both boxes have 0.25 cm left/right and 0.13 cm top/bottom
internal margins.

Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
