How did you conquer the slope ball tracks? Do you press the joystick when
reaching the obstacles or let the character fall on his own? Use the item only
when there is an arrow icon on the item. Avoid items marked with an X. And
how's your score?

I believe this might be solved by the fix for Bug 33495, which will be
available in version 7.5 (you can test the feature now:
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html )

If the presenter console is windowed (and therefore can be moved to any
screen), and you start the presentation in the screen you are sharing, wouldn't
that cover your needs?

Actually that doesn't really make sense... firebird3.0 "encapsulates" ICU and
that one does have a dependency on what ICU it uses.

That
*Could not find acceptable ICU library
*Missing entrypoint in ICU library
is thrown when it doesn't find the ICU it was built with. but when you had
firebird3.0-server-core from stable installed you should have gotten stables
ICU for firebird. Then again in comment #3 you say
"Now I just noticed I got firebird3.0-common.

I uninstall all firebird things so including libreoffice-sdbc-firebird."

which suggests it was not installed, as wasn't libreoffice-sdbc-firebird.

Need to think about this - but not today.

(Ideally both should still be built against the same ICU anyway.)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152390] New: [Math] New properties panel in 7.5 alpha doesn't work

2022-12-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152390

Bug ID: 152390
Summary: [Math] New properties panel in 7.5 alpha doesn't work
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.0.0 alpha1+
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Formula Editor
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rgb.m...@gmail.com

In 7.5, Math's Elements panel was moved to the sidebar, and a new Properties
panel was added with the Fonts, Font size, Spacing and Alignment buttons: these
buttons don't work from the panel, clicking on them does not do anything, their
functions are only accessible from the Format menu.

Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 2b4d136b65bc79a1248876160e85fab79d52d5d6
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.14; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb)
Locale: es-ES (es_ES.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

The same happens with the gtk3 UI.

apt update && apt dist-upgrade

- icu67 removed

=> so everything is ok and this bug is complete nonsense.

Really sorry, I should wait for at least a day before creating a bugtracker to

OK, this is a clear case for "I have no clue administering my system".

In comment #5 you say:
"deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb-src http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ testing main"

so apt gets your packages from stable. And only from stable. testing here is
only for *source* packages.

In comment #1 you say:
"Debian package version: 1:7.4.3-2"

which is testings version nudged onto stable somehow.
DO NOT DO that.
se backports if you need a newer LO (7.4.3 will appear there soonish, it just
migrated the weekend and the backports rules say backports come from testing,
and if people and reports like this don't waste time so I can't do that in an
timely fashion)

And testing is not "what will be added in stable somewhen", but "what will be
released as stable as a whole".

> so it seems it's related with libicu67 in some way?

Of courses. Testings version of is built against libicu72. Both LO and
firebird.

One might argue the dependency in libreoffice-sdbc-firebird to
firebird3.0-server-core is too lax but that can be fixed. (Well, worked around
since it's hardcoded and I don't get the info what firebird3.0 is built
against.)

For now I'll just depend on 3.0.11.33637.ds4-2+b1 as a quick workaround (which
is the firebird version built against ICU 72)

Still you don't want all that new libs etc. on your stable.

If you test testings packages, use testing.

Input a new row, don't fill "Stamp" with data. Save the row. Current timestamp
will be written.

The SQL-code works, but the message is useless.

Perhaps "compel" is a little aggressive but if there is a "strong
recommendation" to utilise the specific input field with a reminder to use it
if the 1st attempt to post the bug doesn't have that ID field completed.
I think (hope) people who are reporting bugs are as interested in a resolution
as those more directly involved - Why else would they bother reporting it?

Bug ID: 152388
Summary: Librecalc freezes when searching for non-existent text
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: chris.k.spen...@pm.me

Description:
If you open a large spreadsheet containing thousands of rows and use ctrl+f to
search for a text string that does not exist in the file, Librecalc freezes
until it's searched the entire document, preventing even the search from being
cancelled.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open large spreadsheet containing at least 3000 rows.
2. Press ctrl+f and search for random text that isn't in the file.
3. Notice the entire window freezes and you can't even cancel the search for
several seconds, sometimes up to a few minutes depending on the speed of your
system.

Actual Results:
Search freezes entire window.

Search should run in the background and not block the UI and be cancellable by
the user.

Sorry, that was red-herring indeed.

The issue is in LibreOffice code, in particular this code that uses process
locale instead of the UI language:

https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/refs/heads/master/vcl/unx/generic/fontmanager/fontconfig.cxx#445

The best person to comment about this code is Caolán McNamara, but this code
have been like this since ~forever.

When you add text to a bulleted list, the new text is supposed to inherit *all*
the attributes of the text already in the list. It already inherits all the
font an paragraph attributes, as it should. But not the animation attributes.
Why? There is no why, it is a bug.

I just reconfirmed that it does this less than useful thing in 7.3.6.2 (linux).

> Maybe this report can be turned into a documentation one, to clarify that a
> section break in MSO is a page break in LO?
Perhaps. At least a word search will get you to the right spot in the help
manual.

There are three "section breaks" that I know of:
-continuous breaks (which aren't really a break at all, but just redefine
parameters that may or may not take place immediately - headers/footers being
the primary example that do not.) LO has nothing similar natively.
-column section breaks: LO has nothing similar natively, and basically doesn't
know what to do with these. Thankfully they are extremely rare.
-page section breaks: LO handles these fine AFAIK. They are a
page-break-with-new-page-style.

I guess "process ID" here would be .uno: command as in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/DispatchCommands

I don't think we could ever compel normal reporters to include such info. It is
more the area of quality assurance volunteers and staff to fine tune the data
for discoverability. Meta bugs are one way of categorising and can sometimes be

I copied the file to my home directory as bug.ods (as the macro was expecting
the path).

There is a formula in D3 of Sheet1.

Running the macro createUpdateSource creates a document bug_tmp.ods which shows
how Sheet2 becomes overwritten by Sheet1 contents.

Not sure about the specifics, but setting to NEW for now.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152383] New: While presenting, switching between 2 screens is possible, not between 3 screens

2022-12-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152383

Bug ID: 152383
Summary: While presenting, switching between 2 screens is
possible, not between 3 screens
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hol...@jakobs.com

Description:
I normally use 3 screens, sharing one of them in a video conference. When I
start presenting, it occurs that the controlling interface of Libreoffice is
full screen on screen one and the presentation itself on screen two, while I am
sharing screen three.

Therefore I would like to have the controlling interface enhanced so that
switching between all existing screens becomes possible.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect two external monitors to your notebook
2. Start Impress
3. Start presenting mode

Now try to get the presentation on the screen which is not occupied.

Actual Results:
No way to move the presentation from one screen to another. Only switching
between controls an presentation is possible - not to screen three.

Expected Results:
There should be a way of switching between all existing monitors.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
There should be a way of switching between all existing monitors.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146395] Input field for QR Code does not allow newlines

2022-12-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146395

Christopher Köbel changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Version|7.1.5.2 release |7.4.3.2 release
 OS|All |Windows (All)
   Hardware|All |x86-64 (AMD64)

Just wanted to confirm that the problem of "only single-line QR codes" still
persists in LO 7.4.3.2 on Win/x64 and give this bug a boost:

To shed some light on why newlines in QR codes are important to users:
When using LO to write invoices or allow for a quick donation through a SEPA
direct bank transfer, it'd be awesome to be able to generate a corresponding
EPC (European Payment Code; cf. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPC_QR_code ) QR
code, which follows a fixed format that absolutely depends on the LF line feed
(Alt+010) character to split data fields. Some banking apps will also read EPC
codes using CR (Alt+013) or a combined CR/LF, but most will not.

So that's one use case where LO could be one step ahead before MSO because the
guys from Richmond don't get this right either (I have been discussing this, in
German, on my freelance translator blog
https://www.defrent.de/2021/04/eqc-qr-codes-in-ms-word/, where several
more-or-less successful workarounds have been proposed by readers).

Being able to piece a QR code together from Calc cells or Writer fields would
further improve LO over and above the ability to manually enter a multi-line QR
code, but that alone would be a real plus, given that feeding possibly
sensitive and GDPR-relevant payment data should not be given to online QR image
generators.

Cheers,
Christopher

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105575] Slow rendering when using a Logo command

2022-12-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105575

shape properties, but it seemed, that is not relevant. I'll check it again
with the alpha release, and add to the code, if needed.
