https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40124 --- Comment #11 from QA Administrators --- Dear Christopher M. Penalver, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155142] New: FORMCONTROLS: Add form control to prevent scrolling in text boxes
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155142 Bug ID: 155142 Summary: FORMCONTROLS: Add form control to prevent scrolling in text boxes Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: st...@nyhof.id.au Created attachment 187076 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187076=edit Screenshot showing the Adobe Acrobat 'Scroll long text' option Most of the forms I use are ultimately designed for signing with locked fields and the ability to print the final document with integrity. The default behavior of both single- and multi-line text boxes is to allow them to scroll once the end is reached. If the form user unwittingly enters too much text, the final printed product will be incomplete as the scrolled text will truncate. Therefore scrolling in text boxes must be disallowed for some forms. This ability exists in Adobe Acrobat: text box properties, options tab, 'Scroll long text' tickbox. This is ticked by default (screenshot attached). At the moment I need to post-process each PDF form in Acrobat and untick this for all text boxes. I propose a new field in text box form controls, 'Allow scrolling' with 2 options 'Yes' / 'No'. It could be placed just beneath the 'Text type' option. If no was selected then the exported PDF, when opened in Acrobat, would have the 'Scroll long text' option unticked. Thanks for your consideration. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

So I don't know whether I'll keep pushing for that. > -ability to include page totals (i.e. page 1 of 3 as requested in comment 10) Done with comment 46. Another thing I considered was saving the last state. I thought perhaps I might be able to get some of that "for free" because of calls like save_state and get_state_changed_from_saved(). But those are just an alternative to connect_changed handler links. cui/source/options/optgdlg.cxx is an example where true saving is going on. So it wouldn't be terribly difficult, but I don't think it is worth the complication. So I'm giving up on that enhancement. I think I am done with the enhancements. There are some bookmark duplication/renaming problems under the hood - especially noticed when running the wizard on BOTH the header and the footer. So far I haven't been able to properly grasp all of the complexities of this. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/151346 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This kind of deep loading happens only when the formula expression input is resolved, not on reload or recalculation. For simple named ranges (and defined database ranges) the external names and their ranges would have to be additionally stored in the target document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155140] New: right click in gallery always enters into insert mode

For example, I right click to "insert as background image." on a button image I found in the right-hand side gallery sidebar. When I move the mouse, the cursor changes to a plus-hand. But it does with this everything - including a right click and then choosing nothing, but clicking outside of the popup menu to close it. Basically, as soon as you right-click, you are in drag and drop mode. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154894 --- Comment #3 from Jeff Fortin Tam --- A note for testers who may have a problem reproducing this under Wayland (especially if you're running a distro that patches mutter for triple-buffering, like Ubuntu): today for some reason the issue didn't seem to manifest itself at first, so I logged out of the GNOME Wayland session and logged into the GNOME Xorg session, reproduced the issue there, logged out and into the Wayland session again and... for some reason, the issue now started occurring under Wayland again! At least for a while. In any case, the issue seems to be much easier to trigger & observe under Xorg/X11 than Wayland, so when testing a potential fix, it should be checked there too (just to rule out the possibility of the Wayland session suddenly not exhibiting the behavior, unrelated to the code) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155050] Confusion between "bibliography entry" and "citation"
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155050 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Blocks||101258 CC||vsfo...@libreoffice.org --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- No, while they are "Citation" in common use--functionally--they are always drawn from our ODF [1] bibliography structures. The controlling dialog is the 'Table of Contents, Index or Bibliography...' and in reality contains both within the UI. We have bug 64960 bug 121945 and bug 121958 open to extend ODF by incorporating support for "citation Style Language" (CSL) based indexing schemes. Until then, current labeling in UI is consistent with our ODF heritage--and the way that citation/index gets written into ODF. No compelling reason to change.
