Hi Stéphane. Yes, on my tests with 7.5.3.2 the numbers were exported properly
so as far as I am concerned it could be marked as fixed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155290] New: Mouse-over labels are in reverse order with a chart with dates on the x-axis, when dates are listed from new to old in the source data

2023-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155290

Bug ID: 155290
Summary: Mouse-over labels are in reverse order with a chart
with dates on the x-axis, when dates are listed from
new to old in the source data
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Chart
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tidy.year3...@fastmail.com

Created attachment 187261
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187261=edit
Example of the issue, point is labeled incorrectly on mouseover

When creating a line chart in LibreOffice Calc based on the following data with
the Date column treated as a date, then hovering over a point in the chart
(after double clicking on the chart) gives the wrong information. The
information that hovering provides is in reverse order, in this example.

DateValue
12/05/2310
09/05/238
03/05/236
01/05/234

See the annotated screenshot. Both the date and the value in the hover info is
incorrect. It should say "values: 03/05/23 6". The mouse pointer was not
captures in the screenshot, but it was hovering over the indicated point.

Thank you for helping improve LibreOffice :)

Dear Kruno,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

2023-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133984

Hmm, with "atticization" of LibreOffice Online, this is no longer feasible as a
core component.

TDF, with ESC guidance, has ceded the feature space to TDF partner Collabora
and the suggested enhancements are a fundamental capability of their Collabora
Online offerings.

Development of LOOL is done barning a major shift in community participants. It
certainly is nothing meriting TDF tender as that ship has sailed.

Miguel Ángel, I don't see a new "File > Export as > Image" menu item.
Can you please clarify?

raal and Alistair, I think we might be lumping two issues together here.
- There was a problem in image exports in 7.5, which is since fixed (see bug
153672 and its many duplicates). I think that's the loss of text that Alistair
was seeing. Alistair, can you please confirm that your issue is resolved in
7.5.3 ?
- raal, maybe the issue you bibisected was the 0-byte PNG resulting of an
export with "Save transparency" off, which would be bug 154168, bibisected to
the same commit. Can you please confirm?

Seems to be a os/DE scaling factor issue.

On Windows builds with os/DE scaling at 125% the icon for buttons on the
taskbar fit fine--no clipping. And if I increase to 175% still no issue, they
fit. Didn't try any higher scaling (working on something else so can't
restart).

@Telesto, stragu -- what os/DE scaling are you working at? A HiDPI issue

   Product: LibreOffice

  Severity: normal

 Component: Documentation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gabrielbarros...@gmail.com

Description:
In the past, the documentation website was broken and required javascript to
render any content. This is not the case anymore.

but now, because of the previous 'fix' still present on the template
transforms, the content will just flash on the screen and the user is
redirected to a 404 page, unable to read anything (and ironically, unable to
enable javascript on the page of interest).

suggestion: revert https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133928

https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/help/+/96238

Steps to Reproduce:
1. disable javascript
2. visit any help page

Actual Results:
contents flash on the screen and i'm redirected to a non-existing url

Expected Results:
content remains on the screen.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
n/a. refers to the website.

Still occurs in 7.5.3.2 on Win10 with loss of all newlines.

Also the conversion of identifier delimiting square brackets to grave accents
(backticks) is annoying when working with Access databases (*.mdb, *.accdb)
through JDBC/UCanAccess.

FYI, I encountered the same problems with the following three .docx documents,
too. Unfortunately, these are all official documents in public
tender/procurement procedures of the Federal Republic of Germany VHB-Bund
(required templates/forms of the Vergabe- und Vertragshandbuch des Bundes
(VHB)), thus the user needs to be able to use these documents in public tender

Reproduced on Linux with:

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 99a88c9e55872214ce01d89447d18708e47e956b
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I can see it with icon sets Colibre, Breeze and Sukapura.
Sifr and Elementary not as affected.

Also noticed on macOS.

Bibisected with linux-64-7.6 repo to first bad commit
cfba1cba20f2309cd93aa6fd5f3fbe0fff40bd40 which points to core commit:

commit 62a0eb0a604a91b84d346fb50a12f868dbf7147f

Resolves tdf#153344 - Resize View Mode icon in statusbar to 16px
Also removed the "_10x22/24" from the icons
Space between icons now generated per code
Reviewed-on: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/148163

Not calling it a regression, but maybe an implementation error? Heiko and
Rizal, can we improve this fix so those three icon themes don't look clipped?

I'm still seeing the gray marks on cornet of writer document background canvas
with current nightly against 7.6.0, with default "system" appearance mode
picking up UI in "dark" color theme, and the "Automatic (Colibre)" icon theme's
rendering the dark variant.

When I force the appearance mode to "Light" and the "Automatic (Colibre)" icon
theme shifts to its light variant the writer document background do not show
the gray marks. So affecting the Windows dark theme support only.

It is not a Skia rendering issue as it also is visible with Skia diabled to use
GDI+ default rendering.

I definitely will, but only after this particular regression is eliminated,
only then I can safely go back to using latest version of Calc and check if any
other issues I've experienced before still exist, without risking loosing any
more of my time and my mind.

As it is now, and I've just checked latest official release (7.5.3) yet again,
this deal breaker still persists, therefore I consider this Calc version
unusable and a "liability" to my workflow, unfortunately. I'm keeping 7.2.7.2
for now.

Thank you for your hard work, and cheers.

I don't repro anymore. Somehow it was fixed.

Bogdan (reporter), do you reproduce it on a newer version?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125421] The Basic function EqualUnoObjects wrongly returns False for two variables having assigned the same object by different ways of access.

Thanks.
I can't start to study and analyze the complex C++ code (I never understood
sufficiently nor ever liked).

As a frequent user of the API I would, however, expect that things are
consistent to a degree allowing for a sufficient understanding either by a kind
of self-explanation and educated reasoning or by well structured documentation.

That there are objects of different types in a sense as underlying the above
example without giving the user reliable information about it is just
confusion, imo.

I'm told that only service names are assured to be stable. OK. But if so there
must be a service helping to distinguish "different object types" in every
case. Otherwise implementation names must get assured stability, and must be
applied in a way offering the mentioned functionality.

Also a kind of bundling or "merging" services in a way that results in facts
like EqualUNOobjects(cellObject, cellObject.Text)=True (same "object type"?) is
evil if not at least there are reliable means to make the needed distinctions
in a different way.

An API will always partly be useless or create errors if its usage requires
full understanding of the core code.

If "object types" are actually defined by their BUNDLING of services, these
types must have stable names, and their bundling (including the surprising
"identities") must be documented.
