Sorry, I think I misled you. I didn't mean windows cascade was malfunctioning
for general file opening I meant that LO files, when opened, no longer appear
in the original position but seem to be offset as though they were "cascading"
and that the inability to relocate the Ctrl+H results window may have commenced
at around the same time as I noticed that anomaly.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156150] Calc will not sort multiple columns based on date

2023-07-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156150

(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #1)
> Please attach a sample file.

@Paul, your description of the content of the file seems to be related to some
private or sensible data. Please be aware that attaching a file makes the file
available to the public.

See
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission

You could modify the data so it won't represent "real" data.

In any case, please try to make the file a meaningful representation of the
problem - we probably don't need all the columns and hundreds of rows; just
enough so the problem is clearly reproduced.

Please add in your next comment the info from LibreOffice menu Help > About (or
a similar menu for your OS).

Also, please note that comments for this report are to be posted (in the report
itself), not by private emails. So, please don't reply by email; just post
comments at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156150
or, for attaching a (publicly available) file, use the relevant "Add an
attachment" link in that page.

Additionally, how exactly are you introducing the data? Are you typing-in each
value (especially the dates), or is the data imported (e.g. from some csv file
or similar), or is the data copy+pasted, or some other method?

Dear Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this

details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not

1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118957] Heading styles are changed after pasting html text

2023-07-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118957

Dear info,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156148] New: Unattended Windows command line convert (headless) has inconsistant results

2023-07-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156148

Bug ID: 156148
Summary: Unattended Windows command line convert (headless) has
inconsistant results
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mich...@alft.net

Description:
Headless converting files from local keyboard & mouse is perfect and amazing
*but* from an internet or WAN script LO fails to convert some document types
without issuing an error.

Steps to Reproduce:
Windows 11 pro

1.Web page using CGI-BIN script that issues command line to convert RTF
document to DOC file is always successful. Example that works fine:

c:\libreoffice\program\soffice --headless --convert-to doc --outdir . file.rtf

2.Same Web page and scripts to issue command line to convert RTF document to
PDF or ODT documents always fails.

c:\libreoffice\program\soffice --headless --convert-to pdf --outdir . file.rtf
c:\libreoffice\program\soffice --headless --convert-to odt --outdir . file.rtf

3.All the scripts above executed by local user keyboard are successful.

Actual Results:
1. Create web page link so user can convert and download documents remotely.
2. Create script to convert RTF document to DOC.
3. Observe that the conversion from RTF to DOC is successful.
4. Modify script (step 2) to convert RTF to PDF or ODT.
5. Observe that that document conversions failed.
6. Observe that user can issue all command lines from keyboard successfully.

Expected Results:
Converting from RTF to DOC is successful so permissions, locations, and syntax
are correct.
Converting from RTF to PDF or ODT expected to have same success but fail
without an error.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It would be great to convert files on-demand, remotely and unattended (!) using
windows. I tested this on Debian Linux (non-production) and same script
produces DOC/PDF/ODT perfectly using LO. Because of LO's conversion of RTF to
DOC is successful on Windows it may be PDF/ODT conversions are a Windows
environment issue that LO cannot handle.

I see now, sometimes the obvious is the more invisible.

Seems it's something with the style 'TTC-Chapter', because using their parent
style 'TTC-bottom-prompt' seems it works fine.

Can you test deleting 'TTC-Chapter' style, and creating it again
from'TTC-bottom-prompt', doing every change at one step, and testing the result
of export. Would be nice to find what modification produces the issue.

How exactly did you open the file, OP? Did you just invoke the file via your

Perhaps it's more Windows related as I've also noticed that files no longer
open in their closed location but appear to have the "offset" occurring with
the windows "cascade" opening.

Maybe best to abandon the report as it's effectively a cosmetic effect
distracting from functional issues.
